Did the update include the new appearances for soulstone and bloodstone? Also, was hoping to see that comparison chart! I'd check myself, but I don't have minecraft installed at the moment.
I had searched to see if anyone brought it up with Azanor considering Thaumium with Metallurgy ores, and they did and he believes it's nothing to do with Thaumcraft itself. He suggests that perhaps metallurgy changes how vanilla harvest levels work with vanilla materials. As Thaumium is set one below Diamonds in otherwise vanilla minecraft. Does Metallurgy change how harvest levels work at all? According to the chart Diamond can't get adamantine ore, but I think thaumium was breaking it pretty easy last time I used both mods together.
Speaking of Thaumcraft and Metallurgy, is there a way to make Thaumium mine metallurgy ores by it's appropriate level, rather than mine everything it damn wants?
.... lol. The slimes were in both of the beta's already "Ectoplasm and Hemoglobin"
The first beta had the slimes if you used the correct tool you could gain back your souls or blood.
The 2nd beta the collecting was changed to right clicking with a keeper in your hand to scoop them into the it.
Slime size and soul/blood worth amounts are based on how full the crucible was at the time of destruction.

So do you have a chart that shows the damage, durability, mining efficiency, etc. of the various tools weapons and armors made by the materials in mystic mods versus vanilla materials? I'd really like to know how it balances out.
They spawn slimes? That gives me an idea. You could make a special blue slime for Soul Crucibles, and a red slime for Blood Crucibles, if you haven't already. Killing a blue slime (Spectral Slime?) with a sycthe will yield a decent amount of souls. While killing a red slime (Gore Slime?) with a glaive's special ability will drench the ground in blood. Red slimes can't give souls, and Blue slimes can't give blood. Whether the broken crucibles spawn Large, Medium, Small slimes depends on the number of souls/blood that were in the crucibles to begin with.
You should private message the guy who does the ThaumicBees crossover mod, he's obviously already has experience in the matter, sure he could explain how it works and give some tips.
You could possibly add that into the thaumcraft portion of the mod. I know Thaumicbees (the crossover mod between thaumcraft and forestry) added research paths to create bee stuff (and I think also added the transmute for copper nuggets, tin nuggets, and silver nuggets... unless that was added into thaumcraft itself).
You could have it give 8 dusts for the four gems, but have the dust not have any effect on the gems themselves. Thus giving you decent output, without abuse.
Oh hey Jade have you ever thought about adding the soul and blood keepers to the dungeon chest loot tables? Maybe even add an Ender Relic item, which you can find in the dungeon chests sometimes, which can used to get 1-3 ender pearls?
I suggest an early release of the new soul and blood content, with possible removal of the spectral glass content until you figure out what to do with that (this way we can enjoy both soul shards mod and harken scythe)
