posted a message on Unexpected error java.lang.IllegalStateException: Already tesselating! CONTINUOUS IMMEDIATE CRASH

I can consistently get this error when using an Openblocks block breaker and providing it with a constant redstone signal. It's the first time this particular modpack has crashed, and if I turn the lever off, it stops crashing. The crash occurs after the block breaker has been working for a little bit. I do not have Optifine installed.

    Update:

This occurs when using EnderIO redstone conduits to transmit the redstone signal to the block breaker. When I place the switch directly on top of the block breaker and turn it on, I haven't had a crash yet. It ate about a stack of cobblestone while I waited, and no crash.

Wow, ask and ye shall recieve. V7 reika mods. :D Part of me is super thrilled for this update. Part of me finally got the server started for the first time last night and is all, "Aaaagghhhh, the uploadsssss. T_T" But mostly thrilled.

I haven't had any food problems in the game, myself. Eating only when my hunger dropped below half, my food never did seem to hit that diminishing returns point. And cooked clams were a full hunger bar of saturation! (Assuming that golden border around the foods was saturation.) And I'd played in long enough to get copper tools. Even got to the nether after luck finding a thaumic pickaxe and what looked to be a meteor crash site. Noticed no nether ore. That one did bum me out.

I am curious, is there a reason you haven't updated the Reika mods to v7 yet? I had tried simply dropping updates into the pack's folder for single player, but the java ATLauncher console zipped past them saying it couldn't read the .jar files. Also, have you considered a Backpacks mod? Other than that, I am loving this fiendishly difficult pack. I was a little irritated about the loss of the original tools and recipes, but if I treat this as a brand new experience, it's a quite a bit of fun. And I've loved Tinkers' Construct since Hexxit was new, so it doesn't hurt my feelings to truck down that path. :)

Keep up the awesome work. Packs like this have got to be a ton of work and it's appreciated!

The in-world belt is purely a render. There are no blocks generated.

Also, are you using chain drive hubs?

I'm using chain drive hubs with the chains. I'm having the same problems with belt hubs and belts. Just for fun I tried chains with belt hubs and chains, and chain drives with belts. I couldn't even get the additional data present flag when going that route.

    I completely agree! :D

Yea, even with only dragonapi and rotarycraft being the only two things in my mods folder, I've got the problem. I've been testing this with items I've given myself in creative mode, but I'll try crafting the items and see if that causes the same problem. It's the only thing I can think might be causing it.

So I tried it with all mined, forged, and crafted components with no use of creatively acquired components and having the same problems.

    Screenshot:

I agree that it makes no sense, but there it is. They're obviously lined up and unless there's a wrong way to right click them, I've got to be doing that part right. I'll stand about halfway between the two with a freshly created set of chains, standing back enough to make sure I don't block one's line of sight to the other. Right click one, turn and right click the second. I'd created a new single player world using only DragonAPI, and Rotarycraft installed and had the same problem. Could it maybe my version of Forge? I can't imagine why the problem would happen with such consistency only to me, obviously it works on everyone else's system. I'm also using the Technic launcher to host my pack, (whitelisted server, hidden pack, with 2 other players on it, both in my household). I'm not using anything that changes blocks or recipes, or blacklists items. I dunno, I'm completely stumped here...

I suppose, what is the ID of the entity/block/whatever that appears in-world between the two drives and which of those is it? I can use NEI to give me an ID dump to see if there's a possible conflict that isn't throwing up a warning.

Right click the chain items on the ground, then on one hub, then on the other. What happens?

I right click on the ground and it clears the additional data, and then I right click each hub, in either order, and nothing connects. After right clicking on one hub, additional data is present, but nothing happens when I right click the other.

Chain Drive screenshot was awful, and editing it screwed the whole thing up so here's another couple screens.

Here's what I've got. I tried it with nothing but Rotarycraft and DragonAPI installed and still getting the same problem.

    Mod List:

    Chain Drive screenshot:

I've tried with the chain drive and belt drives and neither seem to work. Right click on one with the stack, then right click the other with the same stack, right?

This is not what I meant by in the same plane. Are the hubs themselves in the same plane?

As opposed to something like this?

Sorry about the long delay in replies, holidays and upcoming wedding are keeping me too busy to play much. I see what you mean here, and sorry I wasn't more clear. It hadn't occurred to me that that particular mistake had been made. I'll try to post a screenshot here shortly so you can see what I'm dealing with, but yes, the hubs are aligned like you posted the screenshot. I've also tried an above/below orientation, again with the gear-work lining up as shown. As part of troubleshooting I tried orienting one of the chain drives at 180 degrees and 0 degrees compared to its twin (chain drive 1). So I would line Chain Drive 2 up so its output was facing North and Chain Drive 1's input was facing South, and I tried with input and output both facing South.

I'm going to back my modpack up and run with just the required mods to get rotarycraft working and see if I get the same problem, and then add mods until it breaks, now that I have a weekend to dink with it. :)

The "additional data present" tag is intentional and indicative of the mechanism working. Ensure that the two belts are within range, have a clear line of sight, and are in the same plane.

The two chain drives are on the same X plane with a 5m gap between them. I tried linking with a stack of 5 chains, 7 chains, and a full stack of 64, the stack says Additional Data Present each time, but no chains are consumed. I'm not sure whether there should be a visible chain between the two, so I set a dynamometer at the far end just to see. I tried linking with the chain drive powered by an industrial coil, both with the coil running and with it stopped. The powered chain drive spins as expected, and the far end does not spin. The drives are set up properly and I assume I am linking the chains properly. Is there anything you know of where I can start looking for possible problems here? I've heard of weird things cropping up with NEI Addons, but I haven't started removing mods yet as a troubleshooting technique because it would be an extremely time consuming task, if there are other possibilities still.

I give up on this one, hopefully someone can help with the chain drive. I've got two drives, aligned identically. I have a full stack of chain and have tried distances as low as 20m apart, and as high as 64m apart. They are in a top/bottom stack to attach to a windmill I have. I right-click the bottom chain drive with the stack of chains, the right click the top, and tried the other way around, and I cannot get them to connect. I tried with belts just for giggles, and still no luck. Is it a bug, or am I just not doing this right?

So I've upgraded to V3 and I'm still having this problem. I haven't changed anything in the rotarycraft config file. One thing that is happening, though, is when I right click both chain drives with the stack of chain, it gets an "Additional Data Present" label under the name.

Just tried them 3 blocks apart, along the ground and tried the chain drives facing the same direction, opposite directions (input north on one, input south on the other). Still no attaching.

On a possibly related but likely unrelated note, I couldn't get a fusion reactor working. It kept launching plasma and setting my everything on fire. Fully powered and cooled toroid magnets, but I still need to tinker with it I think. All the multiblock structures seemed to go together just fine, the solenoid magnet in the center just spinning away all spinny as can be. It was weird, but an issue I will troubleshoot much more in the future. When I am minecraft-rich.

Both are on a multiplayer server, so I'll try Single Player and see what happens.

Yep, same problem in single player. And in a virgin world where the only thing around for miles was a little grass. Which I broke.
