First, let me thank you so much for this mod. I literally *just* figured out how to install them, and I wouldn't have figured out if I wasn't so driven to install it. I have found a bug of some sort, and I'm not sure if I just downloaded it wrong or what. Well, two bug. Maybe three XD Alright, first one I noticed. I couldn't find wilds anywhere. And I checked at least 3 maps, and two superflat ones. Nothin. Second, I spawned a herd and there were no different colors! I was like, fine, I love the mod anyway I can live with the plain colors. This is whn I came acrss the third bug (I actually can think of another o.O). Anyway, third one was when I fed my wilds 8 cake, my game all of a sudden quit on me. Although it was nice enough to save for me first :P These are the las problems I can think of(yea, didn't realize I had this many). So when I came back into my game, I had a broken mustang that it wouldn't let me put tack, or bridle, shoes etc on. I also couldn't inflict damage upon him... So I sent him out of my barn, and went to get a mare from my paddock of wilds. They all had foals before y game quit on me, and the mares were missing!!! When I left and came back, they were there but I couldn't lasso them either, but I could hurt them. Same with another herd I spawned.

Again, I totally am in love with this mod, I just wish I could enjoy it like was meant to be enjoyed :) Oh, and sorry for the long post.

1.Are you looking in plains biomes?
2.Read the last few pages.people have explained this enough.
3.This latest Update does have a few weird crashes and stuff, just ignore them.

With the current forests, I find myself constantly hitting my head on the canopy. In reality, I never hit the canopies of trees when I walk through a forest, and I live next to one. Making it smaller? Sure, but only if the rest of the trees become larger.

True.In my country There are a lot of forests. I'm never hitting my head either. But I guess in Minecraft they will never change the size of a normal tree. But maybe add different variations of them like I'm suggesting. Make a topic suggesting bigger trees if you want but this topic will not change.

Actually, with all the ideas put aside, the aesthetics of the thin tree are very nice, I think it would give a great variety that people are looking for in their planes and forest biomes.

The thinness of the tree in a dense forest situation would give an offset great enough to give a wide array of forest uniqueness.

Imagine this tree growing from a sapling, and later earning it's full fledged identity, Bonemeal to a sappling could cause it to become a Thin tree instead of a full tree.

bonemeal to a thin tree creates a full tree.

now on to the problem of the idea here, when you place four sapplings of junglewood together, and you bonemeal, do you get a giant "thin" jungle tree or...

Mainly I believe Bonemeal is too over powered as is, and therefore should be balanced,
a giant tree farm can take as little time as eating a cake to farm.

I'm planning on putting all my old ideas in a spoiler. You guys have given me better ideas.
With the thin jungle tree I think you would just get a large jungle tree if you had four saplings because it would look weird.
I'll give you credit for the idea of saplings growing into the thin trees.
I almost forgot. More pics are coming.

Honestly! Go into a bit more detail otherwise no-one will support! and change the name to sanity bar or whatever. A sanity bar could be cool and you could get cleaner by swimming.

1st off, why not just use fence then for your trees?
2nd, how would the leaves accurately connect to the trees, considering it would be the width of a fence, there would be a gap between leaf and tree.
3rd, what would the leaves even look like? I would imagine that with the whole redesign to add another tree, same would have to go for the leaves in order to actually make this tree unique.

I kinda like the idea of saplings growing into a small tree, into a fully grown tree, but I don't see this working out.

I've posted pics of the trees and now you can see what they look like! These would not be like normal fences. they would connect to leaves. The leaves on thin trees would look like normal leaves! Oh yes using normal fence for your trees wood plank trees are too weird.

I'd entertain the concept that some trees were softer wood then others and could be cut down more briskly, but outright changing the very first thing you have to do in Minecraft is wrong. Every comic, every parody sketch, every witty T-Shirt praises how ridiculous it is to punch a whole tree with your bare hands. It's the core experience of Minecraft, the first step. You don't take that away, not for the sake of "realism".

No support. If we were to add more trees, they would be bigger ones like Cedar or Palm and they wouldn't include mechanics that on the keystone of Minecrafts experience.

The post now says that normal trees could still be punchable, Maybe I did mess up there.

Some one make a better post with images ! a long time ...

I'm just about to add pictures funnily enough. And no I did not copy this idea, I thought this up myself. There may be another suggestion of this, but I didn't copy it.

I don't really see the point. Seems kind of unnecessary to have some trees you can punch down an others you can't .

Well when you think about it mining is similar to this idea, like you need iron to mine diamond and stone to mine lapis and so on...

And how is mining through a solid meter of stone in about 2 seconds any different.

It would be nice to see thin trees as they could serve as good decor.

I was just planning on putting that in the main post when I saw your comment.

    Quote from kaelvin

I kinda agree with your second post, punching a meter long tree is rather odd, I am used to it, but always thought it a bit off.

I almost think thin trees should be the middle stage between sappling and full all out tree, the world generator would then throw a mix of trees at every stage of growth, as is in real life.

The thin tree would take less time to harvest as I believe the large tree should remain punchable.

Hmm... ill put this in a poll.It will be up in a minute.

So... a new tree to get wood to make tools to chop trees?

    Uh... no thanks...

I knew some people would not like this idea. I just find punching metre long trees to chop them down a little weird sometimes.

Do you mean when the piston is unpowered And a piston pulls that piston in it doesn't pull the block the first piston was touching in.
    If so I agree!

These would be chucked in to forest and plains biomes at the start of the game. When you right click a sapling with bonemeal, it grows into a thin tree before a fully grown tree. Half way through the process of naturally growing, it will also become a thin tree. Thin tree logs can be used as fences as well as giving you 2 planks when put in a crafting table. They can also be placed horizontally to appear as branches.
They take half the time, and effort than a normal log.

People want pics. Here ya go!
    Now in birch variety!
    Jungle...
...And pine (Spruce whatever you call it.)
    Plans for thread:
Re design all trees to use stone wall sized trunks.
Make acacia, and dark oak versions.

Eh...I've got a problem to. I finally got this downloaded and working =3 (Yay!)
But...I can't find ANY wild horses. I've been playing on creative and survival worlds, but on both there's never any horse herds. So, on the creative I just spawn them with a spawn laso. But I can't find any on my survival worlds, which frustrates me to no end >.<
Have any way i can fix it?

Are you looking in plains biomes? They will only spawn in plains. If not I Think you can craft the spawner lasso with four sticks but that might have been removed... Hope I help you!
