Someone has already made a skin from the Dead Space protagonist. P8N has it but I'm not sure where he got it, or if he made it himself. You could try asking him though.
Menen, I believe the bow will only be default for now, so that it can be tested before crafting is implemented.
And... uh, here, just let me show you.
1. I learned the term 'Bowyer' from Dwarf Fortress (maybe - it's the first source that comes to mind) which I trust. It's awesome!

Why have someone else make a bow for you when you are capable of making one? and you get a bow as a default weapon. I do think it should be a sword or a wooden club.
And the Correct term is "Bow Crafter"
But turning off the ability to craft or attack will lead to interesting game-play.
I have a server with a rather large map(1024x768x64) and the center of the map has this strange bug where boxes aren't updated. grass won't grow, water/lava won't flow and plants won't die.
This problem occurs when one or more of the dimensions of the maps is not a power of 2. In this case, it's 768. You should replace that with either 512 or 1024.

Just edit the bow to not have the arrows go down, add some new models and you're done.

In that folder there is a Minecraft.jar file. Open that with WinZip or 7-Zip. Look for the char.png in that file.
DO NOT EXTRACT!
Right click and select edit. When you're done editing, press Save, not Save as.
That should do the trick, also works for blocks.
I don't know if AppData is located there in XP too. If not do a search.
Oh and AppData is a hidden file, so make sure you can see those.
