Some of the spells seem overpowered, and others underpowered. Magic doesn't really fit into Minecraft, so no support.
    *COUGH* ENCHANTING *COUGH* POTIONS *COUGH*

But anyways, I've always liked the idea of adding more magic into Minecraft but most of these seem way too overpowered to be a good fit and the ones that aren't are kind of dumb... I think that it's a good idea, but it should be done much, much differently. So I sort of support this...

    Mob idea!

    "The impossible object"

An HD sphere (varying colors,) that floats around the world. Hit points, around 50. Very rarely spawns. (Could add some kind of temple structure and have this at the end of it?) When broken it would drop a ball. This ball, (the item,) would bounce around like its made of rubber, and just role to a stop when it runs out of momentum. It attacks only when its being attacked, (or if the color is red.) and its two attacks are to pick up nearby (mine-able) blocks, and throw them at the player, providing decent knock back, and 2 hearts lost, and the other is just to spin around and ram the player repeatedly. Every strike takes 1 heart, and gives the player slowness for 3 seconds.

As it looses health, Its speed, and attack, goes up, and it slowly shrinks. If It reaches 15 health, it would split in two. One of them is a fake, and is slightly transparent, the other is the real one, and it would try to escape. As it flees, it would place "rifts" (I could probably think of a better name eventually.) These would slowdown the player A LOT when touched, and play creepy noises. When a players head is fully IN a rift block, every goes black, and for ten seconds, the player slowly looses health as images of the real world, (take pictures of stuff from google earth.) flash on the screen.

If the player doesn't die, after the ten seconds, all rifts placed within a 40 block radius will vanish with sound like a suction cup being pulled off of something.

Rifts are not mine-able in survival, but are place-able, and removable in creative.

I got this idea while drawing stuff. A digital version is in that attachment.

There's a mod (I think ExtraUtilities) that adds a block that looks exactly like this and I think it even has the same name...

Lan servers are just for LAN(Local area networks) so they aren't for people not on the same network.

You can use Hamachi with the Hamachi IP in direct connect with the port that the LAN server gives you when it starts to connect to a LAN server from different networks.

Towny won't be unoriginal, even if it is overused

I never said it was unoriginal. I was just stating that you shouldn't use Towny as an example. Most gamemodes are good. Even factions, the only problem is there are too many faction servers.

Towny is less pvp-based. Think of it like creative-mode, but in survival.

That's not really true, Towny has lots of servers with nation wars and PvP... It reaaaally isn't at all creative-mode...

I agree halfway... Just cause factions is overused doesn't mean Towny should be...

I don't think whether other games do or do not do something should be a factor.

I don't know. I can't picture myself a good looking mole model. When Mojang tries to make complex mammals I think they look ugly and out of place most of the time. Look at horses and rabbits, they look more like something out of an ambient mod more than anything else. Anyways, I think a giant worm, even though might be overdone, would look more intimidating and dangerous than a mole.

You're right, I take back my previous comment. Support.

Errr... Giant worm bosses are kind of overdone in my opinion. A giant mole or something would probably be better... No Support.
