Also I hope you'll be adding more of these Bike mobs. Like Ghasts lol.
That would be amazing. You could fly the ghast around and shoot fireballs at cows. Oh, the possibilities...
[EDIT] Ponies? **** 'em.

Just don't try and add a ****ton of mobs like Mo'Creatures did, it ruins the atmosphere, as it were. At least in my opinion.

I once decided to make a texture pack featuring the old textures from before the Halloween update in 2010, and Nostalgia-Craft is the result!
There's two versions of the pack, an Alpha and a Beta version, both aim to capture some of the feel from Minecraft Alpha and Beta.
A mountainous region
The good old cobblestone texture
Reunite with your favorite flower species
Yes, they're also in the Beta pack, same with the deliciously colorful dyed wool spectrum
Various old-styled blocks (the chest is a proper block in the current version)
Signs of civilization
Just watch this splendid review by GameChap!

Download and installation:
1. Download the pack from the Google Drive link
2. Simply put the .zip into the Minecraft resource pack folder.

A 32x texture pack with slight medieval approach a la John Smith. Even though my goal is to make all blocks 32x, the items will probably stay 64x as they are used from my old texture pack. The pack is still in beta-stage and can of course be changed at any time.
Feedback is always appreciated, and this is your chance to influence the future of this pack.- Tell me what blocks you really like and those you think need to be improved.- Upvote pleople's feedback if you agree with them. It might make me prioritize differently.
Since this is my very first texture pack of this style, I'm more interested in learning the designing techniques rather than making everything unique in my own style. Therefore you might recognize both style and ideas from other packs. Still, every texture is 100% created by me, but like any other artist, I take inspiration from the experts.
I'd like to give credit to John Smith and monsterfisher (who's pack Conquest is also based on John Smith).
Also, the people in the Texture Artists' Union deserves some credit for helpful feedback.

I am wholly aware that I am not original in producing a MineCraft map for private play. Still I am aware that the survival adventure genre is full of maps of varying size, theme, and aptitude requirements. Even still, the super grand scale adventure map tract is a tested style and I would completely deny any assertion that this is a new platform to which I am a pioneer.
MineCraft is a very well-played game. As testimony I would simply advise for any reader to search “MineCraft LP episode 87” and see the diversity of classes, age and creed of the players. There is seemingly no new avenue for originality in content and scheme, and yet we press onward into old horizons.
Sphere is made to be played. This was my second goal. It was not meant to be presented as a show of skill or artistic prowess; I made the map out of boredom and to combine my old projects. As a result the end product became the consequence of hundreds of hours of effort and brings us to; dare I say the largest most polished MineCraft adventure map yet made.
“Ho hum” you might say as you are reading this. I admit because there wasn’t an end product in mind the project might seem scattered and consequently chaotic. Some areas show no initial sign of difficulty and might invite the player only to later maim, mince and in other words kill the player by an oversight in the construction plan. To your patronism I say “tough tit” how you go about playing is none of my business and to suggest a course of action isn’t really my prerogative.
Here is the current version of Sphere for better or for worse. Any feedback would be nice.

Hey everyone, I have a new texture pack that I'm releasing that I will work on over time. For right now you can see what blocks have been changed, and I will update this picture whenever I update the texture pack with more stuff. I'll probably update on a weekly or semi-weekly basis. I'm also using my 64x ryAnime Complete texture pack as the template, so anything that isn't 128x yet will be in 64x.
Anyway, CLICK HERE to download my texture pack. Remember, it is a work in progress.
Here are some other pictures too.
List of new features:
100% complete terrain
New mob skins. Creeper, lava slime, blaze, zombie

Introducing my personal texture pack, I made it for myself but I now have the urge to share it. I have been loosely working on this for a month now, the pack is not finished some default textures are still present.
Recent Update Notes
New GUI (this is still a WIP)
New Title Screen (WIP)
New Ghast Skin
Latest Update Pictures
Wheat Growth Sample
Armor Samples (Outdated images)
Altered MobsI love my zombie
The idea behind this pack was to add some realism and logic (not too much) and to make the biomes smooth and clean, I really wanted brighter white-ish sand and I basically made what I wanted.
I intend on finishing all the default textures and with winter coming it shouldn't take too long in between my real projects.
Thanks for having a look!
Oct 6, 2011Alpha was MineCraft's "Simple" peak. Beta brought along great changes, but now I fear those changes have gone to far.Posted in: 1.0 Update Discussion
Now, with Beta, the game is taking an unusual turn. MineCraft is turning less into an adventure/survival game and more into the RPG I never would have bought.

Are you even aloud to rip jagex's copyrighted stuff and put it in a texture pack..?
How about the other packs, like zelda, Castlevania and tron?
Shouldn't they be allowed?
If you use jagex stuff in non-commercial things, It shouldn't be a problem.

we are all selfish
why is earth separated into 200 and more countries? why cant earth be one country?
besides, the more the people, the harder to manage
i wont know if someone might change my application's codes if there were another 20 or so developers with me
and file size, i know, most applications are very small in size, but if you are going to gather a lot of people's applications then the file size will grow
also, a lot of tools have each other's functionality, there are tons of mod managers out there, so are you going to add all mod managers?
i suggest starting a programming group (similar to codercraft) if you are into a huge multi tool
Aug 28, 2011"A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky animals and you know it." Agent K, Men in BlackPosted in: 1.8 Update Discussion
That about sums up the 1.8 discussion. Ever since I started playing I've lurked the forums. And every single update was the most catastrophic thing that was ever going to happen to Minecraft.
Read the wiki. It tells you not to confuse Adventure Update with Adventure Mode. MinecraftForum did exactly that in their news post. This is not taking away survival's mechanics beyond the additions stated. Note that at no point has an official update or news post explicitly stated that 1.8 will remove this ability. People have looked up what has been said about Adventure Mode and took it as the Adventure Update. The Adventure Update is not Adventure Mode. Posts saying so are a mistake.
It's honestly like people are being willfully ignorant. It's posted all over the place: Adventure Update and Adventure Mode are not the same. Furthermore, Notch and his team have done very well with Minecraft thus far and have shown good planning and management for a game that is still in Beta and wouldn't normally have millions of users demanding it to act like a full commercial release. Nothing I have ever seen from Notch or Jeb led me to think they were incompetent at directing development of Minecraft.
Furthermore, the PAX demo is a demo of all the features designed to showcase them in a limited playtime. It does not mean you will always spawn with a diamond pickaxe and shovel. It does not mean you will spawn in a village. These very likely are just there to show the features off. Nothing I have ever seen makes me think that villages will forever and always be the only spawn points. If I see otherwise it will definitely change my view, but for now just take it as a feature of the demo and not some Manifesto of the Shape of Minecraft to Come.
Life is a little better if you spend less time panicking about everything that could possibly go wrong and thinking you're the only person who can fix it. Even if some of the above changes are true, mods and options will fix them. Or you will learn to live with them after threatening to quit for the eight thousandth time. :-P
May 3, 2011MDR posted a message on [Site/Userscript] Deadfly, the adf.ly/adcraft.co bypasser!Straight ****.Posted in: Hardware & Software Support
Honestly I don't see a problem with it, might convert it into a firefox plugin so all executed hyperlinks directed towards adf.ly go through this script so it's virtually hands-free.
I mod to keep me busy and have something to do (one in the same I guess). One of my mods bases off a webserver that costs me money, but I knew that going in which is why I paid for it. Eventually, I intend on setting up a "Donate" button to help with hosting costs or hopefully eliminate it, but that's it. I don't intend to pocket any of it or use it for anything else than what I inform donaters it will be used for which again is supporting the webserver.
If I wanted to make money off coding, I'd either sell the mods (which there's no point in doing since no one else does), put up donations, or get a job as a programmer.
The whole adf.ly thing was kind of silly to me really, and some other modders hosting it off their own websites with boat loads of ads on them. I personally don't like to impose on any user. If they're using my work, why use their support to generate revenue? Not to mention adf.ly butt ****ing you on the revenue you can generate.
I mean ****... I could set up some subdomains and put real ads on there and offer much better payouts than ady.ly if people really wanted, then have all my webhosting costs covered WITH cash to spare. I think the most a friend was getting for offering such type of service was like .020 per unique hit a day and gave the space renter (guy who actually made the crap he hosted on this subdomain to generate money) like .01
Without even clicking on any ads, at that rate a Mod Author could receive $1 for 100 unique visits each day. On adf.ly I believe you can get $5 for 10k views (limit 1 unique view a day). Let's say 50,000 people visit 5 hosted mods and no one clicks on any links (you get more for that) each author gets $100!
****, talking about all of this makes me want to set a subdomain and contain some authors about making some real bank.
