Dec 20, 2011Sneaky_chicken posted a message on Chopping down the whole tree & making slabs betterThe chopping wood thing is just a way to save time from a grind, which is one of the huge parts of minecraft.Posted in: Suggestions
The slab idea though makes sense. Max stacks of items are usually 64(8x8) so it would make sense for the slabs to come out so that it could fit into a stack of 64.

one dirt block floating in the air :biggrin.gif:, probably the weirdest i have seen
Man I hate those. When ever I see one I have to destroy it and their so high up, I waste a good portion of the day to get rid of one damn dirt block.
Also tree trapped inside a mountain. I first thought that it was on the side but some of the wood blocks were actually surrounded by rock and dirt.
Dec 15, 2011Sneaky_chicken posted a message on What were you like when you started playing minecraftI knew someone who played minecraft already, so I knew about the punching tree's and to hold down the button. My first shelter was a hole in the ground with a small viewing window so I would know when it's day. I spent about 15 minutes standing on a bench in that hole trying to figure out how to make all my tools. When I did dig myself out I accidently flooded it and nearly drowned. It was the best first 1/2 an hour of a game I ever played.Posted in: Discussion
(My spell check keeps trying to turn accidently into occident.... WTF :sleep.gif:)
Dec 15, 2011Just an opinion on this...Posted in: Creative Mode
1. Just another "community" gimick that companies use to make users feel more connected. The main problem is that people already play on servers and their own computer, so why would they go build a house when they can already do it anywhere else?
2. You can play with friends on servers. If you want to see if they want to hop on then you can contact them through skype or some other way of contacting them.
3. You can have pictures on the Minecraft Forums.
4. The minecraft forums have rankings based on your posts. And ranking wouldn't work out with games like minecraft.
5. Basically... A minecraft forums profile?
6. Waiting on what lobby?!
7. Find a cow/sheep/chicken and carry some wheat. Also pets don't have anything to do with either the RPG elements of minecraft or the sandbox elements!
If your going to post with a newly made profile, at least think about your post. From your post I'm having trouble believing you bought minecraft.
I mean a chat for lobbies?! Have you logged onto a server before? you're not exactly "in a lobby."
Dec 13, 2011What games, other than Minecraft, do you suggest we play: Focus on co-op games. You could have a secondary series of 4 player co-op games (L4D and Magicka are good examples) with a couple of people doing videos of them playing through 2 person co-op.Posted in: Video/Series Help
What should we call ourselves as a group:...The Quadcast? I'm not good at creating names.

Dec 10, 2011I recently re-downloaded minecraft and I've tried force updating, tried doing a clean install. When ever I log in it automatically crashes the program. No error message, program just closes. I checked my drivers and they're all up to date.Posted in: Legacy Support

Time Zone:Pacific Time
Time(s) Available: Weekends: 9am-11pm Weekday:Can't be sure until my next quarter starts, most likely around 2pm-11pm.
Skype Name: Going to be switching to a new computer before the end of the week, so I'm planning on setting up a new Skype for it. Expect something along the lines of Lasnic.
Why you want to be a part of this let's play: Minecraft is a social game and I'd like to play with other people more. Plus I sometimes mess things up in crazy ways and figured hey, might has well try making people laugh while if I'm going to screw up.
What your personality is like: Darn it, I hate these questions. From what I've heard from people I know, I tend to exaggerate things. Apparently when I argue about something I keep going until nothing makes sense. That's all I can get my buddy to say atm, so anything else probably isn't that great. :huh.gif:
How you can be of help:I'm really good with the combat in MC and i'm rather good at small scale building projects. Just keep me away from redstone.
Can you play lag free (most of the time): Definitely, my internet is great and like I said before I'm getting a new comp which is a little better then what I use currently.

Jul 27, 2011ok to clear a few things up..... 1. Yes! that is a mushroom, it's been known for a little while now. 2. Notch has named them Enderman, after the Slenderman, a creepypasta character. 3. They are carrying blocks with them, meaning they can either build, destroy, or even both.Posted in: News
There will be villages, but that doesn't mean they are friendly.
Jul 27, 2011Ok, there is no way to tell atm if they are friendly or hostile, but come on people! They are a Silhouette with white glowing eyes wondering around (at night has far has we know). They have long thin arms and legs and have an overall model that seems to be the opposite of the player. How do you go from that to friends who will build stuff for you when they get cookies and cake?Posted in: News
Jul 26, 2011If they destroy houses, you could make it with 3 layers. 1st= nonflammable block. 2nd= lava. 3rd= nonflammable block. If it tries to destroy your house, it gets burned to death! that will keep em off your lawn.Posted in: News
Jul 26, 2011@MALOJFK there is a bit pit in front of one of them, and you can get a block without leaving a hole in the ground.Posted in: News
I would probably put them between 2.5-3 blocks tall. They are certainly taller then you. I would say keep your home 3 blocks high so they can't get in, but if they can take it apart that becomes meaningless.
They probably won't take apart your house without a loophole to avoid them. Maybe one spawns every night, so if you don't kill them they pile up. it seems like they probably only can carry one block at a time, so if you keep them in check it should be fine.
Also, might want to make walls with more then one layer.........just in case.
Jul 26, 2011I hope they won't just take apart your house. At least maybe they wont take apart blocks that are lit, so that when you make your house you need to make sure that the outside has torches has well. Though that means finding coal is a true life or death situation. They would also probably end up dismantling the "mob traps" people make. Enjoy the gunpowder/arrow/bone/feather farming while you can, cause Enderman is here to protect the creepers!Posted in: News
Jul 20, 2011Like in any other game, it seems permadeath is getting a bad rep. I'm sure it will just be toggled by difficulty (Hard, maybe peaceful since it's hard to die anyway.) I personally like the idea of perma-death, most likely from diablo 2Posted in: News
