But, just yesterday I saw a topic where someone asked for a mod to be updated and someone came along and updated it for them, no question asked. That's why I thought I could get someone to update it for me, especially since the author hasn't maintained it for 2 major updates now.
I've seen people take over abandoned mods before without them saying anything about having permission from the original author.

Someone updated it unofficially to 1.2.5, and I was hoping someone could update it again to 1.3.2.
Here's the download links to the unofficial 1.2.5 update.
Hangable Maps 1.2.5 Client
Hangable Maps 1.2.5 Server
If it's of any importance, the mod requires Modloader and ModloaderMP.
Also, the files are still labeled as 1.1 but I think the unofficial updater just didn't bother to change it.
Thank you
Edit: There's another feature in it besides just being able to hang your maps, so Mojang isn't going to be adding the whole thing in the next update. You can also duplicate your maps so you can have more than one of each area, which is why I'd like to have this mod updated instead of simply waiting for Mojang's update that we have no reason to believe will have this feature.

He has java added to his path, and I am sure it was done correctly.
He tried it with the path for 32 bit java on a 64 bit computer, and with the path for 64 bit java on a 64 bit computer and he gets this error:
error: could not find or load main class C:\Users\Sthompson\Appdata\Roaming\.minecraft\bin\lwjgl.jar
He has all the game files, including lwjgl.jar which is clearly in his bin, and the path above is the same path as the lwjgl in his jar.
Can anyone help?

Good point, and yes you're right about the forum for bit, but for now it's really the only option if you want anyone to find your mods until a site completely dedicated to minecraft modding pops up and becomes popular. Or maybe that modding API support that's supposedly being added soon will help with some of those issues. Who knows?

Well, when I first got the mod, I tried to do a cube of 1,000,000 tnt, but mine said it ran out of memory and basically ended minecraft. If I try to open that save again, same result.

Alrighty then.
In that case, on a less serious note, how on earth did you manage to blow up over a million tnt without your computer itself going kaboom? lol
Assuming that's your video and not someone else's contribution, of course.

No, I swapped the console key and the regular chat key, so now the console key is T and the chat key is the backslash. I'm not holding it down for a long time when I open the console, so it can't be that. Unless the console is programmed so that it opens and starts registering whatever key I'm pushing very quickly.
Apparently I'm not the only one.

I have the same problem as the above, and I had never even touched the config file before I recorded the video.
Also, so is this mod simply a recorder that adds no lag due to its recording, or does it actually allow your computer to handle more memory-intensive things in-game?

About 80% of the time when I bring up the console in-game, whatever key I push to bring it up (T, for example) will be there when I type. As in if I push T to bring it up, it automatically enters a T in the typing area.
