Now, without diving into much details, this whole incident happened because of Notch's huge ego. End of story.

If I were the Yogscast I'd be considering hiring a lawyer to sue the multimillionaire who got them to spend thousands of pounds flying to promote the millionaire's product for no compensation and who were then defamed by that same wealthy and self obsessed individual. It's up to Notch to prove that his libelous statements are true, not the Yogscast to prove they are false. So far I've yet to see any evidence that Notch's statements were anything other than false, and Notch beginning to retreat from his statements is further evidence that they have no solid basis and the Yogscast could and should sue him in the UK for libel and damages.

Well said mate. Someone should kick Notch's overgrown ego. In the balls!

Touché, I think I should have thought of that before I had posted, because when you get down to it all, the people who caused the DDOS and harassment were the ones who "jumped the gun."

And who started this mass hysteria?...

    Quote from TYDIRocks

Yogscast responded maturely, but they lied I'm pretty sure.

Proof? Otherwise your post adds nothing to the argument.

Notch's reply to their statement, I think Notch needs to hire a PR person. lol

"Fair enough". And that's all his response to their statement?

Who the hell he think he is? Oh wait, I forgot: HE IS NOTCH, AND HE GOTS THE MILLIONZ!

I think, we have a situation of man with his head being far up his ass here! Call an ambulance!

Nope. People are still making horrible comments to Notch. Way to go, people.

And people still making horrible comments about Yogscast.
    Quote from YukiChan »

It's obvious that Notch doesn't want people hating on Yogscast...

Did he want that - he wouldn't have posted accusations and insults in the first place.

Now would be actually nice to have mature apologies from Notch to Yogscast and the whole community, to settle whole thing peacefully.

Again, the yogscast was specially invited on a trip(for free) that could've costed a "normal person", the type of people running their success, hundreds.
So, yes, the yogscast just insulted their own viewers.

Were they actually got paid for the trip? Where's your information from? Sources?

Oh, is the fanboy(slider2k) butthurt because I have an opinion about his "Oh so great masters Simon and Lewis"?

Look, fanfag, I'm no fan of Notch. If you even bothered to read my posts, half of them are bitching about him not doing enough work on Minecraft.

However, I would never do that AT HIS ****ING CONVENTION no less, where he can easily see me criticizing him.

I know they're harsh words, but people have a right to have whatever opinion they want on the internet. You could say your a nazi sympathizer and you still couldn't get in trouble for it. So reporting me, isn't going to do anything. And if it does, then this site has a serious moderation problem.

However, if you disagree with my opinion, fanfag, then you may indeed state why and I have no choice but to uphold and respect your opinion, but there should be no reason to report me. So go jack off to your Yogscast T-Shirt for a while and leave this **** to the people who no how to properly criticize.

As for the guy who said that "British Nerds generally hate America" was a generalization, I do know not everyone there hats us. But if you were a member of Facepunch back in or before 2009, it sure seemed like that. Though it seems recently the internet has gotten an inflow of more tolerable, respectful people that don't report you for having an opinion.

    1. I'm not your typical fanboy.
    2. I didn't see an opinion in your post. I saw unfounded hatred and insults towards Yogscast.
    3. It was not HIS convention. It supposed to be the COMMUNITY convention. And you thinking otherwise signifies, that you are indeed Notch's ass kissing fanboy, in disguise.

I don't see anything wrong with that video. They are Brits, they were honest, and they were joking around as always.

Would I be jumping around in happines to get a drink, a plastic bag, mousepad and bunch of adds as a bonus for 100$ ticket?

Just one simple detail that many seem to omit:
    1. Mojang got paid by IGN for live streaming Minecon.
    2. Live streams included Yogscast panel.
    3. And Yogscast didn't get their share of the money for that? (Notch: "nobody got paid")

Yogscast was invited as a special guest to MineCon and was even given their own panel. What I assumed, and what I believed that Mojang assumed when they invited them to a panel, was that they would speak for an hour (hour and a half?) about their Youtube videos, podcasts and the like. They would talk about their experiences, making videos, how they got so popular, etc. Instead, what we seemed to get was an hour of them showing videos of popular builds done using Minecraft. A whole team was up on stage and it seemed only Simon/Lewis spoke.

Why am I sure that it actually was completely opposite? That Mojang "asked" Yogscast to talk only about Minecraft, and not about themselves.

As for the rest of that post, it could be just a fan protecting Notch. As now I see many Notch fans making lies, saying that they were actually there, and saw how "they crossed Notch signature, and written **** OFF" to a seven years old kid...

Hannah made a recent post on Twitter saying she may make a video response later today. I'm hoping she'll stick to it.

They probably don't want to bring the **** up. Probably waiting, seeing if Mojang would want to settle things peacefully. People are beginning to realize what happened at Minecom. And if we'd hear what really happened first hand, it could really hurt Mojand and Minecraft community.

I have the feeling that what Yogscast did in the livestream, was not really professional, nor nice for the developers and the audience to hear.

They were pressured and pushed about. Honestly, I didn't really like their panel too. The whole Minecon was an embarrassment.

About that f-bomb, that everybody are talking about:
They would never did that in kids face! And that twit did not actually implied that.
Mojang "spies" probably eavesdropped Yogscast private conversation. And of course, knowing Simon & Lewis they were not completely serious about that. They were pissed at Notch, but they would never act bad to the fans.

Notch could be a bigger man. He's not. He's petty and greedy - making money out of community event while "not paying anyone", not letting community guys have a proper interview, because of being completely sold out to IGN; pissy - publicly insulted two nice British guys.

It would be better if he distance himself from Minecraft now, and leave it in more capable hands. He did his part. And we're thankful for it. I'm sure he could be happy just with his wife and millions, not having to work for the rest of his live.
