posted a message on Minecraft 1.8.9 lag

My minecraft lags a lot, and I don't know why. Sometimes when I log on, I get a decent 80 fps. But other times I'm getting like(most recently, like in the past week), 1, or 2 fps. Also, when I have low fps, the pause menu, when I'm on it, the game runs 50 fps in the background. When I switch worlds, I either get high or low fps(not as low, but like 15 fps) with no pattern indicating what it'll be. In addition, when I try to add more ram to minecraft (usually 2 GB), since my computer has 10 GB of ram, an error message comes up saying

Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for 2097152KB object heap

When I log back onto the laggy world, it stays the same fps (about 4 fps).

I've tried changing the game difficulty, smooth lighting, particles, clouds, max framerate, and almost every other video setting, but nothing's worked.

I am playing vanilla minecraft 1.8.9.

    Thanks

    Quote from Valiec2019»

This works, but it has one issue. /kill @e[type=!Player] gets rid of ALL entities other than the player. This includes minecarts, boats, paintings, etc. So if you have any of those in your world (and you don't want them deleted), you may want to do this instead:

    1) Set difficulty to Peaceful.

    2) do /gamerule doMobSpawning false

    3) Use /kill commands to kill each passive mob type individually (e.g. /kill @e[type=Cow] kills all cows, /kill @e[type=EntityHorse] kills all horses, and so on). You may want use the wiki to look up the entity names because some are a bit different from the ingame names.

    Yeah, forgot 'bout that.
    thnks! ;)

    Try /gamerule doMobSpawning false

This gets rid of ALL mobs.

It doesn't get rid of the mobs. It just stops them from spawning.
If you want to kill all the mobs, enter '/kill @e[type=!Player]' (without the quotes, of course), into the command line. Do this a couple of times and all the mobs will die :)

This looks grand only because of the amount of repetitive patterns stacked too many times.

But still, it takes a lot of effort to do it, and it isn't stacked too many times. Also, the repetitive patterns is how almost anything looks grand

posted a message on Minecraft running too fast

For some reason, one second, while playing minecraft everything was fine, the next, I was going like, 4x speed. For javaw.exe, I tried to set CPU affinity to 0, but that doesn't work. Also, I dont know if this is normal, but when minecraft is running, I have 2 javaw.exe.

    Can anyone help?

EDIT: Also, when I create a new world, I move normal speed. Since, I had created a really nice house on this world, I tried to copy the world, but the problem still showed up.

    Thanks in advance
