Hey GotoLink, I know that I, like many, wonder how you manage to upkeep so many mods when the authors of said mods struggled to upkeep just a single mod. With that being said, have you had any progress in updating the laser mod?

On my download site ? The update is still a work in progress.
It is on the requested list, I will add its section when it is ready for release.
    Thanks for your support :)

Ah, ok. Thought it was updated, haha. I was really surprised to see it done so fast.

Might I make a suggestion, Gotolink? It might be prudent to add Laser mod to the OP with installation instructions. I see it in your download site and I know a lot of people would probably download it if they saw it in the OP. Otherwise, unless someone visits the thread by Webmilio or digs through this one, there is no indication that the Laser mod was ever updated by you. Just a thought. Keep up the awesome work!

My heart sank a bit when I saw this. I completely understand though. Maybe they'll come out with that long overdue and promised ModApi. Anyways, my thoughts go out to you Webmilio. Hopefully your other ventures will be a easier going.

    Hey Webmilio,

I really want this mod, and it would be so cool if you can get this done. However, and please correct me if I'm mistaken, but you don't seem entirely enthused about completing this mod anymore. It would seem to me that you are doing it more out of obligation than passion. I can guarantee there is no one more psyched about this mod than myself and I look forward to playing it again (I check daily or more for updates). But I personally don't want you to work on the mod if it is not something you are excited about or really wanting to do. There are obviously others things in your life, and being a father of four, I know how life can get. What I'm really saying is this: I release you from the obligations and burdens of this mod. Only work on it if you are truly driven too. I believe any reasonable person awaiting the fruits of your efforts would agree. . . .maybe. B)

I'm in no rush, as usual so I don't want this to be taken out of context. But are you (Webmilio) and Widux confident that you will be able to get an update out for 1.5.1 or is there a chance that it might not make it out until 1.6.x? It matters not to me, so long as I know the project is being continued and will make it out eventually I'm a happy 'camper'. Just curious.

Very excited. I'm glad you have someone working with you Webmillio, this mod was no easy feat if I remember correctly and (correct me if I'm wrong) the original modder claimed it could not be updated to work on a server. Which would indicate the difficult work you two have ahead of you.

So Laser API? I assume that means you will be able to update and add things to the mod without having to change a whole bunch? I know very little about coding. I can look at code and mostly understand whats written, but coding is another story.

What are your plans once you finish with the remake? What further additions do you have planned, if any?

I agree and disagree with the updates from Jeb. I think the priority definitely needs to be on the mod API. Minecraft thrives on the mods players make for it, and I believe Jeb needs to prioritize the API before continuing with the heavy amount of updates to MineCraft. I disagree that Jeb is adding too many things. I like the flow of new things. However I agree that he is adding useless items. Such as the new dispenser; such functionality could have been added to the existing dispenser with certain redstone signals or a built in switch. Mojang needs a team dedicated to coming up with ideas, a team that is not as close to the project as Jeb and the other developers. Maybe they do, I can't say I know for sure.

Webmilio on the other hand, I agree in waiting for the next update. I believe this update could impact the current design of the laser mod. I could be wrong though, either way it make little sense to update to 1.4.6 when 1.5 could be out in less than a week. I'm in no hurry either, I have other things I'm working on in real life to occupy my time. I have said this before - I have waited this long, however much longer I have to wait means little to me. Just don't bail on us yet Webmilio, keep up the good fight if even just for me! :steve_csi:

Just keep up the good work Mr. Milio. I have been waiting for a fully working laser mod since I updated from 1.2.5 a long time ago. If I have to wait longer, I certainly will survive. Currently this mod is the only thing that keeps my interest, I love MineCraft, but this mod enhances it in more ways than just about any mod out there - without being overly complicated.

You are my hero, just so you know. ;)

Has this texture pack died? Just curious, was thinking of using it as a base texture pack for my server.

I don't visit the forums as often as I should, but anyways. I like the texture pack because of the clean look, many texture packs turn me off because they become too 'grainy'. And 16bit texture packs often turn me away as well because they often times try to achieve something that should be saved for a higher pixel count. But this one is clean, and straight forward and for me to say I'd use a 16bit pack is a rarity. I will not look at anything less than 256x +. I came across this for my brother because his computer can't handle much beyond 32bit.

I don't know if you stole or didn't steal anyone's graphics. For anyone to dogmatically claim you did because there is but a few pixel differences borders absurdity when there are so many texture packs of all kinds, it can be trying to ensure complete uniqueness, I'm sure. But I say keep up the work, and I look forward to updated version.

I actually like almost everything about this texture pack right now. The only thing keeping me from using it is the lack of terrain retexturing. I hope you continue to work on this.

Your main download does not download for me. When I click to skip add I am consistently taken to a partition signing for something to do with HollyWood. Could be me, but just thought I'd let you know.

as of now you can't even make it with out modloader or else you are magic.

Thats lends me my next question. Since ModLoader is 1.3+ compatible, shouldn't it too be able to run on servers? I guess I'm simply not understanding whats happening here with minecraft now being all server based.
