Because if you have a horse, you basically have your hunger bar not depleting when travelling far places, so I agree with dungeon-only items which make travelling balanced also so as the food bars.

- For designs (Clocks to tell you the time on a item frame)
- Powered Rail Tracks (For transportation purposes)
- Golden Apples (Golden Blocks for resistance if you are screwed)
- Trading for Villagers (Sometimes and rarely 1 gold ingot = 1 emerald is very useful)
- Enchanting (using Gold Tools for a high enchant using low levels around 10-20 exp)
- For Multiplayer Servers ( some are used to sell for currency)
What you do is make a chest in the spawnpoint area (put some torches) then place your stuff in there. Press F3, remember the coordinates or use notepad. Kill yourself, then you spawn in your bed at home. Remember the coordinates again, head to the place where you stored your stuff then go back following coordinates to your house Hope it helps!
At first I was scared 'cause I'm a newbie xD Listening to CaptainSparklez' music got me courage to go out and kill mobs xD But when the music was over I was like "Oh crap get back home!". But yeah as you play long enough the game get's boring that you've never get scared of the mobs anymore (except jumpscares :o).
