    Ok, so in a nutshell, since my DS is a Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, you have to attach the IP's to the network interface. I've done this by entering the following into the console.

    ip addr <ipa.ip.ipa.ipa> dev eth0:0 (or eth0:1, whatever)

    sudo ifdown eth0:0 && ifup eth0:0

    I brought the server up and it runs just fine.

    Yes, I've opened the port.

    I've been digging since I started the post, and it would seem that even though my server has been allotted the IPs, they have not been configured. I'm trying to do that now (had quite a busy day). I'll update the thread with my findings.

    posted a message on Setting up Shop on A Different IP:Port

    Greetings all,

    I know that this has been a pretty big and is still a pretty big problem with players starting up their first Minecraft servers however, I cannot seem to find the answer to my troubles in any common thread.

    I have a dedicated server that some of my friends have requested that I fire up Minecraft on. Thing is, I've got 5 free IP addresses I can use with it. I've got other various games on some of them, but I'd like Minecraft to run on one specific IP. That way all the servers can run on that IP and I'll just change the port should I start more than one.

    The problem is that when I state the IP in the "server-ip=" field, it gives a "FAILED TO BIND TO PORT" issue. Which I know is caused by that field having something in it. I just want to know, how do I actually specify that Minecraft run on a specific IP?

    Thanks,

    -Ranger

    posted a message on [1.7.10] Testfor Sleeping Player

    I've seen his tutorial on this actually, and it doesn't work with 1.7.10. The fill command was introduced in 1.8. I need a 1.7.10 version of it. I'm beginning to think it doesn't exist.

    Hi guys,

    I've done some research into these commands, but each one, specifically the following fails with either "/testfor player" or "That player cannot be found".

    /testfor @a {Sleeping:1b}

    and it refuses to do anything, I have tried connecting both a repeater and a comparator to the output and into another block which is set to "time set 0" but for some reason it's either always setting time to 0 or not at all because of the previous block.

    It's 2 of my friends and myself on my (modded) server and when some of us are busy and someone wants to sleep to make it day, it'd be easier just for the command block system to change it to day when only one person sleeps.

    This is 1.7.10.

    Thanks for any assistance you can provide!

    posted a message on GLSL (Shadersmod) Shaderpacks Render/Initialize Wrong

    I've tested 3 shaders as of that post, Sildur's and Chocapic's shaders are both just like the ones in the screenshots. Seus's shaders are just blank white. But at least I got an error message with Seus's: [Shaders] Error: Invalid program composite1.

    I set the settings as you said (Not sure what VBO is however), and I'm not running optifine.

    This is what SEUS looks like.

    Thanks for your help btw.

    Hi guys,

    I got a bit of a problem I cannot find a solution for...

    I love the look of shaders, I used some before on a really old machine, but that system is no more. I'm running a new build now (like about a month old) and I wanted to install Sildur's shaders but I'm getting some really strange problems.

    The above images portray the issue, it's like everything not within 10 blocks of me is relfected into the sky and zoomed in incedibly close. If anyone has a fix, it'd be very much appreciated!

    System and Minecraft Specs:

    Minecraft 1.7.10 running along side a modpack (however tested in singleplayer with same result)

    Intel i7-3770 Quad Coire @ 3.4Ghz

    16GB DDR3 1866

    ASUS STRIX GTX 1070

    Minecraft is running on an SSD

    Thanks!

    posted a message on [Tekkit: Legends][Servers]Server Time Out's are Enraging

    Hi guys,

    Quick question, I've recently starting playing on a UK server and I'm in the US, but UK servers have never done this to me before. The time outs occur in ranges of 30mins all the way down to just trying to log in. It's like a cold. Once you start coughing, you can't stop; same for these time-outs.

    SpeedTest results

    This is my speed-test results, I shouldn't have this problem. What's going on?

    I'd be very grateful for a fix to this insanely aggravating problem.

    Wrong LogLevel class. Import "org.apache.logging.log4j.Level"

    So I add that import block but now that entire line after "import" is erroring. Am I missing a library possibly?

    Edit: Nevermind, it was conflicting with the previous import statement, i fixed it.

    So, I've been following your tutorial series on 1.7 and so far I have gotten through all of them except the 3rd "Proxies and Helper Classes". I am at the very last bit where we add in the LogHelper. So far I don't have any other errors, but the first one that pops up is where I add in the first block of log helper code initializing the FMLLog Level. I getan error on "log", adn then one for every classification such as "FATAL", "TRACE", and "WARN". I have no idea whats going wrong.

    This is the code, and I am sure that since you wrote the tutorials, you can decipher what parts are customized to my mod. I have also gone over it several times comparing it your code, and I am sure that it matches, but of course in code, you can never be sure and you always normally need someone else to look at it.

    package com.wordpress.pldyndev.ae.helpers;

    import java.util.logging.Level;

    import com.wordpress.pldyndev.ae.Reference;

    import cpw.mods.fml.common.FMLLog;

    public class LogHelper {

    	public static void log(Level logLevel, Object object) {FMLLog.log(Reference.NAME, logLevel, String.valueOf(object));}

    	public static void all(Object object) {log(Level.ALL, object);}
    	public static void debug(Object object) {log(Level.CONFIG, object);}
    	public static void error(Object object) {log(Level.FINE, object);}
    	public static void fatal(Object object) {log(Level.FINER, object);}
    	public static void info(Object object) {log(Level.INFO, object);}
    	public static void off(Object object) {log(Level.OFF, object);}
    	public static void trace(Object object) {log(Level.FINEST, object);}
    	public static void warn(Object object) {log(Level.SEVERE, object);}

    }

    Thanks for any assistance

    posted a message on [Tutorial] How to Launch Minecraft Programmatically

    I know this might be a bit old, but I have been trying to create my own MC launcher for about a week now. I have programmed it to install itself to a folder, but what I am lacking is the actual launch Minecraft code (1.7.10) and how to log a user in. I see that the tutorial wasn't exactly finished was it...

    posted a message on Custom-Built Minecraft Launcher Development?

    Hello to all of you fellow developers and players out there!

    To put this in simple and short words, I am trying to build a launcher for Minecraft using C#. So far I have accomplished installation type stuff for the main program meaning that when launched, it will check to see if there is already installed files and if so, then go ahead and open the program. The stuff I need right now is to be able to login the user and then launch Minecraft.

    So, on these two notes:

    • How do I log a user into Minecraft using the authenticate.mojang url
    • How do I launch Minecraft; as it is a Jar and I am launching through C#

    Help will be greatly appreciated, as most of the Google searches that I have found are outdated or don't even pertain to my situation.

    posted a message on Looking For Offline Mapper/Viewer

    Hello!

    So, to cut to the chase, I want to be able to map my Minecraft world project. I also want to be able to view it offline (probably the catch). I have tried using Minecraft Overviewer but it uses the Google Maps API and that means I cannot use it offline. Who knows of an isometric world viewer that works offline?

    Help will be greatly appreciated!

    Note that the map viewer needs to work with 1.7.10+ so no snapshots and nothing beneath 1.7.10. My project right now is on version 1.8.8 so it would be perfect for a tool running 1.8.
