I dislike the food meter what if i wanted to mess around or build structures while cheating could really get in the way :sad.gif:. Also whats this about survival DIEING i love survival. I really hope this update doesn't kill the Minecraft we all no and love.
Can't you see that Adventure mode is just an updated survival mode, just with a few new twists?
Survival mode Currently:
Health bar/Armor bar (10 hearts that you simply just eat food to restore)
Monsters spawn (pending on difficulty)
Animals Spawn
Crafting System
More building materials then Free Creative mode (retail creative is being added meaning able to use such)
Dungeons which are very plain right now
Adventure mode soon:
Health bar/Armor bar (which is not as easy to recover as it is currently but still able too)
Monster spawn (pending on difficulty again and of course new mob(s))
Animals spawn (Although seems to be more rare now with animal breeding)
Crafting system
Food is required but the amount of food you can get is expanded (Chicken & Beef)
Dungeons which will have variety a new look and all
NPC villages which is a Option you can turn them off if you wish. (also trading is hinted)
New combat system
Sprint function
Quest system
List goes on but ya, survival right now in most of the servers I play without any plug-ins seem to be a creative mode with a health bar Single player it feels the same which is why I can't really play it because I have nothing to do and rather play on a server with things like McMMO, quests, difficult mobs, and of course chat with others.
Even if you do not see it that way look on the bright side nothing is being taken away from Survival to Adventure just new things being added which is great.

I really hope Sim City 5 has a co-op features instead of just a "online" feature. I just want to play with friends I don't really want to play with everyone.

But not quite not give it another month.

followed by Planetside 2
those games? I think so its the only games I care about everything else is just run of the mill knockoffs/copies of last year.

In the thread various videos, various facts, reasons why its not a WoW, and many sources confirming all of it. And no sub
Only other MMO that I would recommend is Planetside 2 which will start in the beta within the next month, but you have to be invited or have a key to get into it. But PS2 is a MMOFPS free to play when it launches. Cosmetic only items will be sold no power or advantage.
As for notable games that fall into your liking.
Civilization 4 full pack it has more features then 5 and also a lot more optimized. It's TTS instead of RTS but it involves similar strategy.
Witcher 2 its an RPG driven by story has hack and slash combat similar to Vindictus. Very much mature though so its not kind hearted to those who are light hearted.
Open TDD its similar to Sim City but it goes across a country vs just one city. It is free so you can try it without wasting your money worth a shot I like it.
Those are my suggestions.

1. It will fail
or
2. It will grab a niche part of the market and makes it money back then never be discussed again.

Haha good luck with that, I have heard it is quite difficult or at least time consuming to get to 50/50.

I do not see the dye per character an issue. Yes they said it would be 2 years before release so things change, but even with its not really money grubbing for a few reasons. One being you no longer needs to wait 24 hours for a dye with the current system that was also planned. Second being you can get dyes from the mystic forge with the right combination of items which will be on the interwebs in a matter of weeks if not days possibly after launch if you want a certian dye look it up get it. Third, Dyes at least in the BWE's are common not rare in 1/10000000000000 chance and I doubt it would get to that level in any changes. And last but not least, there is 400 dyes one character at any given moment will use maybe 15 you as a player does not need all 400, if anything it adds more replayability because it allows people that want to be the completionist because you can do such each character instead of once.
You can customize your class to your liking. Glass Cannons and Damage asorbers can be achieved yes but you are able to get in the balance but you will not be uber powerful at both at any given time. Playing my Warrior I was able to take a decent amount of damage but at the same time be able to hurt enough enemies same with necro and guard. When you have various skills that can automatically take damage or skills that do high damage you don't need to be focused in those areas as you would if you did not and each class has one or another. Spreading the points around pretty evenly allows a good balance, at the moment that concept is being bypassed but again we will see if its been fixed in the next BWE and pets being both necro and rangers powerful skill will work on launch according to one of the developers that will give them some siginificant
There is a target interface that is integrated in a group but not for pugs. Which of course will be much less organized, on top of that no one knows how to play brand new players do not understand the simple concept of sPvP or WvW because its not brought to them upfront with detail. An issue once the community learns how to play both PvP and their classes the chaos will drop never will disappear as well as clans or groups being in PvP instead of just all pugs. But you are able to take out more then one target if you are good as long as your set up compliments your playstyle. Or at the least delay your death to the point where back up does arrive or retreat back. Either way VOIP is still essential with GW2 combat typing is not efficent or even plausible within it works for WoW or similar when you hit 2 and 3 5 seconds apart from each other and repeat.
Just my view on such topics. Out of that the only major concern I have is VOIP which is in my top 2 concers the other one being FOV that is 75 currently even though 120 FOV is supported on eyefinity set-ups.

If you have a Beta Key from some kind of give away you will only be able to participate in the upcoming Beta Weekend Event. The content that is in the BWE is limited for everyone to level 20, full game goes to level 80. The Beta weekend event lasts as long for everyone which is 20-22nd.
Depending on how you go about purchasing the game you will be able to play the game when it releases next month. Pre purchase allows access to a 3 day headstart which begins on the 25th, Pre-ordering the game allows access to a 1 day headstart which is on the 27th or just purchasing it when it release allows you to play the game on the 28th.
But to have access to the full game on launch you will need to purchase the game in order to play. Having a beta key does not give you a free copy of it. And unlike other MMORPGs Guild Wars 2 does not have a subscription fee to pay monthly as other MMORPGs have so you will only need to buy the game and you can play as long as you want.
P.S Thanks cosmic will update that to the OP

Unless you mean console size which will be significantly smaller due to the lower res textures.

As long as its pre purchase and not pre order that is correct. I recall when pre purchases went live you go to a store you buy the game $60 charged at the moment and you get a code either on the receipt for US or a box with no disk in UK. With that code you can go and register it to your account and can be considered a Pre-purchased account allowing access to all BWEs and 3 day early deal.
But if you pre order and not pre purchase which means you drop $5 or whatever reserving a game on launch day cost for that store you will be eligible to have the 1 day early access.
