Pick one. The two do not coexist for a MMO that requires server upkeep plus content patching/tweaking.

More like patience and exploration. A practice that is being lost in RPGs these days with auto guidence quest objective icons ahem,, Skyrim..

Of course... a game isn't suppose to beat the player. Its suppose to support a player.
The mistakes you make in the game are your mistakes, there are very few circumstances where the game is at fault. Leading overheads is the largest problem but even that can be beaten beyond that there is a way to overcome everything.

Well if its not action, then is it a story driven RPG? Because if thats the case the game is terrible if thats what its going for... Baldurs gate, Mass Effect, and Dragon age are what I describe RPGs. They are turn based D&D style like games the latter two have it so you can go into "action mode" that emulate it flowing freely but the old school RPG mechanics are still there.
Now beyond that it seems everyone is being nice and let Skyrim pass as an RPG at all here. The focus on character development in every aspect is very slim much more so then Dark Souls or other Elder Scrolls even to the point it can draw so many comparisons to a action adventure game like Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed and even Killer is Dead and similar. Sure you have a skill tree so does the other three games, your choices in the game do not affect the world in the slightest nor do you have a choice beyond maybe one or two pre-determined quest lines. Don't forget each three have very similar scenarios "oh your the dragonborn (or enter clan name here)" compared to "oh its the vigilante on TV" or "oh its an Assassin" is not an affect on the world.

They are both RPGs so no its not like trying to compare a platformer and a action adventure game.

Well combat in Skyrim isn't exactly great either... Dark Souls trumps Skyrim in that department mainly because an object three times as larger than the character only stumbles you in Skyrim, in Dark Souls you're knocked down with decent mechanics to get away quickly via rolls and not just strafing.

Its about time!
Kojima announced that both Ground Zeros and Phantom Pain are coming to PC and with a nifty little video to show off their plans.
Steam pages:
Ground Zero
Phantom Pain
I knew it was going to happen eventually and supposedly there has been traces of it on steam for around 5 months already; but I am still excited, as a long time fan of MGS series I will can't wait to see what it has to offer.

There's actually an entire game based on one which had a "HD" remake for consoles, then you have the templar/assassin chick from the first two.

So if party means other players I will always prefer that over single player experiences granted the game pulls it off well.

Define great competition. Because right now AAA publishers are not even attempting to make ports of the "next generation" line up for the Wii U anymore. The gamecube strived to beat its competition in every way game wise (RE4 deal with capcom biggest example to get ahead early over its competition), hardware wise it trumped Sony's platform and kept up with the xbox and especially ergonomically superior in every way the controller and the entire layout of the platform has been the best design for the entire package deal durable, comfortable, and economical.
So to me when I think of the gamecube I am reminded how great Nintendo use strive for the best things and looking now seeing the last two platforms they released I fail to see that and I would have never dropped Nintendo if they continued it.
