It says on the wiki that pumpkin seeds cannot be found in abandoned mineshafts due to a glitch. Does anyone know if it is the same in the 1.9 pre-release? Im having trouble finding them in the pre-release.
Since animals were persistent, they can be found anywhere relatively often.
IE if a sheep were to fall down a 2x2x10 hole inside a cave, it would stay down there. Forever.
ok that makes sense, I have noticed it in the new update...but tell me what exactly does more persistent mean, I don't really understand the new passive mob system. I haven't seen a cow in a while.
I have played minecraft for a good 2 years now, and I have never seen sheep this deep in a cave. I promise I didn't bring them their...but just look at how deep I am underground, I have gone all the way down in this natural cave, and I find sheep chillin next to a zombie.
I like mining for diamonds and I don't want to be able to go out at night with nothing but a sword and get some diamonds...I love diamonds but I still want them to be difficult to obtain....I hope Endermen are REALLY rare...does anyone know how rare Endermen are? Hopefully not like zombies. This also means NO Endermen spawners!
Okay so I have been on my world forever...and I don't want to switch to a whole new one when 1.8 comes out, but I still want the new biome features that 1.8 brings-I hear traveling very far in the Nether will allow me to generate new chunks when I return...I was wondering...how far do I have to travel, and how will this affect my castle that I built? Please help.
When 1.8 comes out, will I have to make a new world if i want to find a mushroom biome an Npc village, or a river...I know a similar question was just asked, but will the new terrain features generate or will I have to start a whole new world. I have explored ALOT around my home, but I have worked so hard...I don't want to start over.
I am REALLY excited to face some endermen...however, I feel their addition has gotten so much hype from Notch - yet it doesn't seem like what one of his priorities would be. I think he would be more focused on adding bosses, and ruins, larger heights, water mobs, aerial mobs, and perfecting Npc's. Thats why I think, besides being just a scary mob with scary abilities...endermen will add something else awesome to the game...that has not been released yet. I bet they drop something awesome, like maybe a way to harness their teleportation...because when you think about there are already ....why add yet another scary mob to avoid? Maybe I'm wrong but just something to think about.
Sounds more unlucky than the biggest fail ever. Explore the forums a bit, since you're new. You'll find you're definitely not the biggest failure here.
