I like my planks WHEN I want them, I don't like taking up space in my inventory with stuff I currently don't need. When I chop down a tree, I want logs and only logs, if I choose to turn them into planks, so be it.
I have a friend who started by playing the cracked version for a few months, then bought the full one just because he liked it so much. So the cracked version doesn't have to be all that bad.
Making videos before their voice changes is fairly annoying. I mean, if you're that young you shouldn't have access to recording/mic/posting videos. I don't know maybe it's just me who finds it irritating.
These are gorgeous! The only problem I have with skins like this is they look so weird wearing armor, but that doesn't make them any less amazing! Great work.
Using shaders to make your screenshots look good doesn't make it a good pack. As Malcolm said, you need detail, don't just do a 4x4 pack because you're lazy. Make variation in the ores, do something that makes your pack unique and special.
And don't expect to get big on youtube, just do it as a hobby, have fun with it.
This pretty much sums things up. It seems like there are lots of huge youtubers out there, and they're all making lots of money out of it, so why shouldn't you join the crowd? Well, because for every big youtuber there are thousands of small ones, and they all want the same as you... Moral of the story, do it for fun, not to become big.
The best donator system I've ever seen is the Survival Games servers. Donating just gets you slots in the games so that you don't have to worry about being kicked out. That's a fair reward, very well thought out actually.
That doesn't really mattter, to be honest. The fact that they made the modpack without permissions in the first place shows that they're not to be respected. Besides, most of the mods in their new Tekkit modpack have licenses that give anybody the ability to redistribute them. So technically, they're still not trying to get the permissions of the mod authors. They just use what they can find.
Yeah, I've lost quite a bit of respect for tekkit. Feed the Beast is the only modpack I use now, it's just much more easily customizable and great!
As a few others have said, the lag created for some people by this would be unimaginable. Although they could turn it off according to you, it still seems like a waste of development time for something we most certainly do not need.
