    just a few suggestions
    • dont make the sun so big (rudoplays' sun is a good size)
    • make the sun shine through leaves
    • make the tone of everything move vibrant (sorry i dont know what it's called. have a look at rudoplays, like the way the colour of the blocks feel more vibrant.
    • i dont know what to call it, but the waters needs something to make it better. a mix between SEUS's and rudoplays water would be good.
yes i currently use rudoplays, but it has some bad qualities too. this just my opinion on this shader pack anyway, it's yours so you can make it how you want.

posted a message on Chunky - Minecraft mapping and rendering tool

I know people say it can't be done and/or that it would be just too much work, but I just wanted to put it out there that I would love to see this awesome program have the ability to render modded Minecraft. Even if it was something manual where the program would ask the user to point it towards the mod files which contains the ids and textures... I don't have the solution, but just thought I'd let you know.

I used to use it for my server, but since adding a few mods, I am unable to provide renders of player's build since they all invariably contain the dreaded black and red X boxes.

Regardless, keep up the good work. It is a wonderful tool still and I appreciate the work put into it thus far.

What if their was a tutorial on how to adds blocks to Chunky? For example, as Minecraft updates, more blocks will need to be added to Chunky. If their was a tutorial for how to do this, then people in the community could create the blocks from whatever mod they wish to do so with.

Pretty much like mod support for resource-packs, the community creates it and then gives it to the pack to be added for others to use too.

I don't know anything about modding though, so I'm not sure if there is anything preventing this method of being possible.

With no shader it still does it.

If you still have shaders installed but you are not using it, yes it will still happen. However if you don't have shaders installed, it will not happen.

This is looking great, and of course you're using a TP perfect for its purpose.
    Interior is awesome!

If you're talking about the tables, that's done using Carpenter's Block, not the resource-pack. But I'm assuming you mean that it the resource-pack works well for modern builds.

Anyways, thanks for your kind words. :)

Absolutely Incredible. This is now my favorite build of all time. Thank you for building that and sharing the link with all of us. :) Also; thank you for listing and linking all the mods and the resource pack you used for it.

I highly recommend everyone check out his build to see what can be possible with a properly modded Minecraft, LOTS of pictures.

    Thank you so much! :)

"Properly modded Minecraft" hahaha, I only used 4 mods. I try keep the amount of mods I use low.

Sorry but I don't know what the "start up parameters" are and the "How to install section" doesn't actually say how to locate and change the things to true. Could you explain?

Small problem between the carpenter mod and shaders. Not sure if it's fixable.

Why not just use a water block in the first place? I'm assuming you are surrounding it with wood plank multipart covers in either case.

    Quote from ShalimarMace

His idea was to use a waterblock as the main cover with wood plank side covers. Side covers have been in place for a long time, thus not needing multipart at all.

    Quote from schpeelah

Ah, I see. I forgot about the side covers.
Multipart covers, not half slabs. They look essentially the same as carpenter's block covers.

    -snip-

Left: carpenter's block with blue wool and oak wood plank covers.
Right: water source block with Forge Multipart covers and strips in corners.
Top: Open Blocks tank filled with water, with multipart covers.

That's what I said from the start..... but with capenter's blocks.

    Quote from SpAcE_mOnKeY126

If you make the carpenter block a water block and then surround the sides with wood planks it could look like a barrel.

I can see how it could be misunderstood though, but if read right it's correct too.

Sorry I'm not really understanding what you said. Do you mean place a water source block and surround it by upward half-slabs created using capenter blocks? That doesn't look too great as a barrel.

Eek! The "no blocks with tile entities" restriction is absolutely necessary. By using them I have no guarantee whether I can retrieve the cover's textures, or even perform logic using the covers without failure. And some of the vanilla items like water, lava, etc.. just don't make sense as covers. There's always a chance I may implement utility blocks like the furnace, hopper, or dispenser in the future.. but no guarantee.

If you make the carpenter block a water block and then surround the sides with wood planks it could look like a barrel. I also have a few more ideas I could use water for. With the furnace, dispense and hopper, wouldn't it just be the same as the crafting table? Thanks for your reply and explanation.

Thank you for such an amazing mod! It allows for so many possibilities. However, there are two things I want ask if you could add and fix.

    1. Allow all blocks to be use-able on carpenter blocks. Meaning portals, water, lava, furnace, hopper, dispenser, etc.

I wanted to add a furnace on the side behind the counter while still having it wood on the other sides.

    2. Glass-panes (and I assume iron-bars too) don't connect to carpenter blocks.

    Namaste.
