Then we'll have a role-play "test" where we grant players we deem as exceptional enough the opportunity to obtain telekinesis. Otherwise, it'll be a mostly restricted power. We wouldn't want any mishaps going on with the story-line. Speaking of which, do you have any ideas as to what we could do?
No irrealism, please. It's difficult to find a future role-play that doesn't give people superhuman abilities. As long they are physical, it's fine. But after that, it gets too ... exaggerated. Anyway, I don't bother with themes mainly because my internet takes a year to load it (and I find kinda pointless), but I guess the one that exhales an air of technology and advance, perhaps of an utopic dream accomplished, something, you know, kinda these Coliseum songs you find around but with a Daft-Punk like remix.
Well, yeah, there would be physical enhancements such as technological advancements in stabilizing a person's stamina to increase work effort. Cybernetics would be a really cool advancement, such as body implants, replicated limbs, etc. Organ cloning would be interesting too, increase a persons life-span by replacing decaying organs with new and healthy organs. As for telekinesis, it's not like it's entirely impossible. Whether or not it's done without some sort of mechanics can be filled in. Maybe some sort of gravity pulse machine.
As long there is a main objective that makes all roleplayers join into a team, because it's a pain in the ass to have to travel from planet to planet to meet each role-player.
True, we'd probably have to narrow players down to a specific area. Some interesting side details would be that thanks to technological advances in medicine, most aliments have been cured or eradicated completely. Now if we wanted to go a little unrealistic, we could have some sort of telekinesis power that a certain few have adopted.
Starships is a must, probably first contact (If we're being optimistic on that one, 2049 is actually pretty realistic if we assume that the planet Lone Signal was sending messages to last I checked is inhabited.) History would involve a lot of sublight interstellar travel (Like Avatar, but with more dead rocks and less life), probably involving spacecraft using the Orion Drive or antimatter engines. Mars would be terraformed if nothing terribly bad has happened to humanity, and there would likely be a lot of exosolar colonies. No antigravity/artificial gravity if we want to be realistic, most ships would have gravity rings. Lasers would be commonplace, as would railguns. Warp drive (real-word one) is a good FTL tech, and we can assume that with such a large civilization there would be enitre planets devoted to producing and storing negative energy for the warp drives (This also opens up the possibility for really strange landscapes as a result of the space-time warping caused by negative energy on those planets.)
Genius, now we have some plausible Role-Play material.
Set approximately five-hundred years into the future, Stardust is a science-fiction role-play that is guaranteed to be an enjoyable experience for almost anyone. Centered around the conflicts of Future governments, Stardust will be an intuitive, story-driven role-play that is sure to impact the community of Roleplayers.
The only downside is that Stardust lacks a well-thought out plot and background to sustain itself. Basic information has been outlined, but nothing to an extreme. Help in constructing a plot and back-story to Stardust would be appreciated.
"Nassau" James Bradford, Nassau, Bahamas,
Daylight was breaking in Nassau, with the moon came a new stir, the night-life. The crew had long since finished their mugs of Rum, yet as though they awaited for more; they sat snug and comfortably on their bar stools. However, James had recently departed from the pirates, he decided a night stroll on the beach would settle his drunkenness. Everything seemed to spiral, it was nauseating, putting James at odds with his stomach.
Almost as though he were being followed, Captain Compton had found his way to James. Drunken from his fourth bottle of Rum, Compton was completely sh*tfaced. Vomit resided in his short brown beard and Rum stained his white button up.
"You-You know what James?!" Compton slurs.
"W-What sir?" James hiccups.
"Life... Life is unfair!" Compton announces in drunkenness.
"How so Captain?" James responds, turning to him as the advanced down the beach side; sea water hitting their exposed ankles.
"Well...for starters, there isn't an endless supply of Rum." Compton mutters.
James laughs drunkenly in response, tripping slightly as he does.
"Aye sir, there isn't enough rum to feed the world.
"Exactly!" Compton agrees.
"What I don't understand about life is why must we steal? Why can't we all just share?" James says, sobering up enough to make a thought process.
"Because...We live in a world were greedy bastards don't like sharing if it could save their hide." Compton responds, stopping in his tracks, staring distantly off onto the oceans.

Actually, it's been done before plenty of times. It's a little complicated, but with collaberation, it can be done.
