Charles,
Receiving the stimpak, Charles quickly pokes it into his arm, injecting it. A sudden rush of whatever was in stimpaks, morphine maybe? rushes in Charles arm & the pain is relieved. Looking up to Robyn who motions for Charles to get to the rooftops, Charles quickly sprints to cover, making his way towards the ladder that led to where Robyn was.
((It's been about two or three weeks since the outbreak, it's entire possible to hotwire a car & siphon the gas from other cars. Afterall that's how Buck's group works though he basically teamed up with the remnants of the U.S. Army after it fell & have so much gasoline because the siphoned it from cars, & change tires by stealing the tires from cars. However, keep in mind, cars do require battery changes & oil changes. So if it doesn't look brand spanking new, It's probably gonna need maintenance.)) Buck, Taking the pepper spray, tazer, & flashlight from his utility belt, Buck stuffs them in Andrew's backpack before motioning for his men to follow him. Advancing down the corridor, it was completely dark, not a single light was lit, so the only thing the group could rely on was the light from their flashlights. Broken glass, blood, bullet holes, & bullets littered the corridor, making the atmosphere somewhat disturbing. Buck's gun is still raised high, prepared to fire as his finger traces around the trigger. The sound of shoes stepping on broken glass makes Buck turn. He stares at Frank & Steve. Looking down, he notices the glass that was broken. -"What's with the glass?" Buck asks. Steve points his flashlight to the ceiling exposing the broken light panes that were supposed to act as ceiling lights. Buck looks to the ceiling & frowns. -"Why'd they shoot out the lights?" Steve asks. -"Your guess is as good as mine." Buck responds. Advancing to where the light of his flashlight landed, Buck notices a blood smeared door, a small peek window was shattered, exposing a set of stairs. -"Come on." Buck orders, picking up the pace. The group makes it to the stairs, Buck opens it, but it's jammed. Peering through the small window, Buck can see a piece of wood jammed in the handle. Buck puts his hand through the small window & pulls the wood piece out, tossing it to the side. The door opens at a second try, exposing the naturally lit stairwell that led up & down. -"Kevin, Mark, Tom, Jeff, go down those stairs. The rest follow me." Buck says pointing to the down set of stairs. Going up the stairs, Buck notices a small plastered sign on the brick wall labeled Cafeteria. The group quickly pace up the stairs, their lights landing on a set of double doors with oval shaped windows. His flashlight peering through the still intact windows, he can see piles of tables stacked against the double doors.
-"Sh*t." Buck says under his breath.
-"Turn back, let's try the down stairs." Buck says motioning down the stairs.
Several gunshots & screams resignates from below them.
-"RUN!" Tom screams.
The sound of footsteps running up the stairs marks the rest of the groups return. What sounds like someone being eaten signifies someone's death. Tom, Mark, & Jeff return, breathing heavily.
-"They're-they-they got Kevin!" Mark says between deep breaths.
The infected paid little mind to the group on the upper floors.
-"What'd you find down there?" Buck asks through a whisper.
-"A barricaded door that blocked off the boiler room, we got through but there was a sh*t ton of them down there." Mark responds.
-"What's through here?" Tom asks.
The group hushes Tom & Buck responds.
-"It's the cafeteria, but we're barricaded out." Buck responds.
Tom peers through the oval windows.
-"F*ck!" Tom whispers loudly, pacing around the room with his hands behind his head.
-"We're trapped up here, we can't go back down there, there's too many." Jeff says.
Kevin's screams can still be heard. Jeff frowns.
-"What the f*ck are we gonna do?" Tim asks.
-"I'm not sure, but maybe we can get into the cafeteria somehow." Buck responds.
-"How, there's no other way?" Bill says.
Buck points to a large vent on the right wall.
-"That vent should lead into the cafeteria, if not, someone will have to find their way to the cafeteria."
The group looks to the vent, shining their flashlights to it.
-"I'm to big to get in there, we need someone relatively small." Buck says, returning his attention to the group.
-"Kevin was the smallest." Tom says.
-"Not anymore." Dave responds.
-"What about you Henry, you're what, 170 pounds?" Mark asks.
-"171 pounds." Henry responds.
-"What the f*ck ever, you're the lightest, so you're goin." Mark says.
-"F*ck no, I ain't goin up there." Henry says.
-"It's not an option." Buck says.
Henry looks to Buck who's emotionless expression stares back. Henry looks around the group.
-"Come on guys." Henry says in protest.
-"You either do it, or we use you as a distraction." Buck says.
Henry's worried expression returns to Buck who remains emotionless.
-"You wouldn't." Henry says.
-"Don't try me." Buck responds.
-"F-fine." Henry responds.
The group plies the vent off & gently sets it down on the concrete floor. Lifting Henry to the vents, Henry maneuvers his way in. The sound of moans & footsteps inch closer.
-"Hurry Henry!" Tom whispers loudly.
The sound of the vents creaking under Henry's weight echo off the walls.
-"Sir, they're getting closer." Jim says, peering down the stairs.
-"F*ck, hurry the hell up Henry!" Buck whispers.
-"I'm trying." Henry responds.
What sounds like metal slamming on concrete marks Henry's entry into the cafeteria. Buck peers in through the window, & Henry stares back, Buck points to the tables barricading the door. A man pops out from the kitchen, a pistol in his hand, raised at Henry who raises his hands. The man appears to be yelling, Henry drops his gun.
The first three infected make it up the stairs.
-"Sh*t!" Tim whispers.
-"They're here." Mark says.
-"We need a distraction...now!" Gavin says.
Peering through the window again, Henry is on his knees, appearing to be begging for his life as the man puts the handgun to his forehead.
-"Goddammit Henry!" Buck yells through an angered whisper, slamming his fist on the glass.
The man with the gun turns his head to the window, the gun still raised to Henry's head.
-"F*ck, there's too many!" Jeff says.
-"We're low on ammo, there's not enough bullets for this." Mark says.
-"We need a distraction, NOW!" Louis says.
The man in the cafeteria appears to be yelling at Henry while pointing to the double doors where Buck stood.
Buck turns to the group who were taking out small amounts of infected with melee weapons.
-"Distraction, anyone got any ideas?" Louis asks, standing back from the group.
-"Yeah, I've got one in mind." Buck says approaching Louis at a fast walk.
Charles, -"To take on an army of slavers, oh yeah, sure." Charles says sarcastically. As the men reach closer, The group takes a stand as it fires rounds at the slavers. Terry's claws maul any slaver in sight. Limbs fly around & blood stains anything in sight. It was a gruesome mess. Charles empties the clip in his Assault Rifle, & takes cover to reload. Turning from cover, Charles is struck by a bullet in the shoulder which knocks him back a little. -"F*CK!" Charles yells as he grips at his shoulder. Blood runs over his hand & fingers, his left hand gripping the wound as he takes a few shots with his right hand, that still, surprisingly, hit a few slavers. The battle was nearly finished.
Jon, Maya cries on Jon & he feels her gripping his sweatshirt. Holding her close to him, he lets her cry. -"It's not your fault, there's nothing you could've done, sometimes these things happen. I...I had to kill my older brother Greg." Jon consoles Maya
Buck,
Walking around a table that was in the way, Buck was now in full view of the figure in the doorway. The infected was dawning prison guard armor & a walkie talkie was pulled from his utility belt, dangling on the curly wire down to his caves. The infected looked onto Buck, straight forward, its angered expression was evident as it shuffled towards Buck. Firing his Colt Python, the bullet hits the infected's shoulder. Angered by the attack, the infected sprints at full force towards Buck who frantically fires his gun, each bullet scattered throughout the infected's body. The infected leaps onto Buck, dropping to the floor, Buck pushes the infected head away before Steve puts a bullet into his head. Buck thrusts the infected off of him & gets to his knees, scanning his body for any scratches or bites. Non are present & Buck's eyes scan over the infected's corpse. His eyes land on his utility belt.
Jon, Hearing Maya crying, Jon instinctively wraps his arm around her, she rests her head on his shoulder.. -"Do you want to talk about it?" Jon inquires, wanting to find out what was wrong.
Buck, Slowly inching towards the doorway leading to the corridor, Buck readies himself for anything that might come through. The growls become deeper & closer. The movement of the figure stops as shown by the flashlight's light. What sounds like sniffing noises resignates from the figure. Slowly, it advances towards the doorway, Buck's pulse increases & a beat of sweat rolls down his forehead. This could either be a more active infected or a lazy one.
Julius woke up when he felt a sharp burning sensation in his arm. He yelped in pain, but relaxed when he saw it was just Ivy.
"Does that feel any better?" she asked tenderly.
Julius was about to respond with something caught his eye, and he glanced toward the doorway just in time to see a shadow slipping past. "Ivy," he whispered tensely. "There's someone out there."
Jon, Maya's awakening startled a still awake Jon who sat up as she half awake mumbled about a dream. Jon notices her heavy breathing & pale face. She's shivering & the lamp light shows her hair standing on end coupled with visible goosebumps. -"Bad dream?" Jon asks.
Buck, Opening fire on the mass of infected that shuffled out of the main building, a massive mound of corpse began to form. Reloading their clips in different successions, the men slowly ease their way back. The infected push the men back far against the wall. Buck opens fire on the horde with an assault rifle he'd kept close to him. A distant scream is sounded over the growls of the infected. The infected turn their direction towards the screams, though a small patch keeps on the men backed against the wall. Taken out with ease, Buck commands the men back through the opening in the fence. The horde redirects their attention to the men exiting. The last two were pulled away before they could make their way entirely out of the fence, being eaten alive while halfway through the opening. Frank & Steve attempt to pull them from the horde but Buck shakes his head in disagreement, letting the two men become a distraction as Buck leads his men to a maintenance shed that connected to the main building. Buck attempts to open the door by turning the brass handle, but is given no entry. -"Jack, get the burn torch from the truck." Buck commands. Jeff nods, running off towards the truck.
Returning within a matter of minutes, carrying a large propane tank with a hose strung along to it, he hands it to Buck who stands back, turning the gauge on the propane tank & squeezing the nozzles handle. A large flame propels from the nozzle & Buck starts burning his way on the hinges of the door, loosening the screws & one by one breaking off the hinges. Stepping back after the last hinge falls from the door, Buck pulls on the doorknob, pulling the door to the ground. The group is greeted with a dark room that is slightly illuminated by the sun's light. The screams of one man can still be heard in the distance. Five men stand on watch, putting down two infected from the courtyard. Buck grabs a flashlight from his utility belt. Clicking it on, Buck steps into the room, unholstering his Colt Python from it's holster. Buck peers around the room with his one eye, frowning at the stench of rotting meat, his light rests on the mangled body of a half eaten prison guard. A trail of blood led to what was presumed to be a long corridor. Bullet holes & blood stained the concrete floor & walls. Two corpses rested on the floor, a pile of dried blood surrounding their bodies. In the maintenance room, cleaning supplies, a lawn mower, & yard tools collected dust on racks & shelves spread throughout the room. The men enter the room, flashing their flashlights around the room as well. There's a loud screech coming from the corridor, followed by a growl. -"Brace yourselves." Buck says, raising his Colt Python to the doorway leading to the corridor, the light from the flashlights were blocked by an encroaching figure.
Buck, The truck stops along the side of the gravel path that led to the main prison building. Large patches of tall green grass lined either side of the winding gravel path in the frontal courtyard of the minimal security prison. Several infected roamed around the open courtyard, dawning bright orange jumpsuits. Paying little mind to the infected, the men in the military truck & other vehicles emptied out. Guns at the ready, the men keep a steady lookout, Buck exits the truck, slamming the door shut, one hand on his large belt buckle, the other gripping the holster of his long barrel Colt Python. Taking in a steady gaze of his surroundings, Buck breathes in the fresh air. Tim, who'd exited the drivers side of the truck looked onto Buck who nodded. Tim snaps at Frank who wielded fence cutters. Frank is escorted by three men towards the frontal gate that lead to the processing section of the prison which led onto the main building. A few infected meandered their way towards the men guarding the convoy but were silently put down with a few blows to the head. Buck follows Mark who stops out by the gates. Frank steadily cuts an opening to the thin wired fencing, Steve pulls apart the fencing, making the fence bend in their respective positions. Frank steps through the opening, followed by the three others & Tim. The ten men guarding the convoy continue to silently take out several infected. Buck climbs through the opening, his shirt getting caught by a stray wiring from the fence, but is restrained with ease. Looking onto the processing center that had a guards booth established next to it, Buck commands Frank to check out the inside of the booth for keys while Tim, Bill, & Jim are sent to handle the five infected that hung around off to the side. Frank emerges, dangling a pair of keys from his gloved fingers. Tossing them to Buck, the members follow Buck as he reaches the main gating. A large mass of infected hung around in the process chamber. At Buck's presence, they swarm the fencing, their fingers extending through the patches of the fencing. Buck reaches the sliding door gate that had been locked shut with chains & a Lockpad. Buck places the key in the pad & turns it, freeing the clock from the chains which slid out from the fencing as the infected shuffled out. Buck nods to Frank who nods in compliance, opening fire on the infected. One by one, several infected collapse, creating a large mound of corpses. On command, the men drag the corpses away from the gating, leaving an open path to walk through. Buck blows the whistle that was strung around his neck. Immediately, the men guarding the convoy, approach from the front yard to the processing section, one by one, coming through the opening in the fence. Buck advances towards the large dull double doors leading into the main building. Once again, a lockpad & chains rested around the handles. What was presumed to be infected, slammed against the doors, slowly pushing them out. Buck pulls out the keychain, trying each key on the lock. The fifth key unlocks the pad & the lock is stripped from the chains & the chains drop from the handles. Stepping back towards the initial gating for the processing section, Buck watches as the double doors fly open, releasing the horde of infected from the main building.
Jon, Maya falls fast asleep, but Jon remains awake, staring dully up at the ceiling. He thinks about his leg, but each thought disturbs him. Besides the wound, he was still rather concerned as to why the looters shot him. It still bothered him, how could humanity reduce its self to something so primal? Stealing supplies from other survivors, killing one another, even loosing trust for one another. Jon & Maya's relationship was solely constructed on trust for one another, & they practically only knew each other for two in a half days.
Feeling the wound on his calf, the swelling had significantly gone down, thankfully. Jon tries to fall asleep, closing his eyes shut & trying to void his head of thoughts that perplexed him.
((It was a high grade explosive created with chemicals similar,t he explosion would be similar to the Boston Bombing, & at lower levels of the building, it'd be bound to have a somewhat large radius of damage, not just on the building, but in the surrounding areas. & Galloway wouldn't be replaced by Lurway because they work in completely separate business divisions & James would most likely be replaced by his brother or the members of his board, though their stocks would drop slightly, Galloway Enterprises would still be financially successful.))
((Actually the survivor hunter was Buck who starts off as Robert Lawson, which I'm playing as, I wanted to give you a backstory so as to show his development, Jeff was a character that I got bored with. If you wanna learn more about Buck, visit my most recent Walking Dead RP, it'll have his entire storyline, from start to finish.))
Charles, Charles dreams of Robyn & Sawyer, though mostly of Robyn. Charles had lived up to his word, Sawyer was now his adopted child, though where he remained was mostly back & forth. Sleeping by the campfire, Charles hadn't noticed that Robyn had gotten up to address the men. Slightly stirring at her voice, Charles takes the pillow he rested his head on & covers his face with it to drown out the noise, though he did this half awake. Figuring that Robyn would probably get him up as well, Charles prepares for a nice wake up from her.

Charles dreams of Robyn & Sawyer, though mostly of Robyn.
