Welllll, the plot takes place on either side of the United States. The main locations I guess are California and The Capitol Wasteland. There are two plots, one with the NCR and one with the Brotherhood of Steel. The NCR's plot takes place around an uprising in California that threatens the NCR's power. The Brotherhood of Steel plot is smaller in comparison, but occurs when Supermutants forge an alliance to coincide with Humans, but the Brotherhood is pushing to eradicate the Supermutants. You can choose either plot line.

    Fallout: 2286
    "War, War Never Changes"
In the year 2077, after years of rising conflict with China and the race for the last remaining resources of Fossil Fuels; the Earth was plunged into an Atomic War. Baptized with fire and destruction; the Earth was reborn into a new state of being. Life forever changed for the inhabitants that had survived the blasts that erupted around the world. To those that survived the destruction, the world had seemingly ended. Despair and death paved the way to a new way of life. The Post-Apocalyptic world that remained molted it's Old World shell and embraced the beginning to a new chapter.
It's the year 2286, two-hundred some years after the Great War, nine years since Project Purity, and five years since the Second Battle of Hoover Dam. Since these two pivotal events in history, both the NCR and the Brotherhood of Steel, from the West and East, have been pushing for power on the opposite sides of the United States.
With the collapse of Caesar's Legion two years after the stalemate at the Second Battle of Hoover Dam, the NCR has gained nearly full control of Nevada and are starting to branch out into Southwestern States in search of power. Though the threat of an uprising back home in California has caused them to redirect their attention.
On the East Coast; the Brotherhood of Steel has been pushing to attain more land. A conflict in the common wealth has arisen and a new faction is struggling to take power from the Brotherhood.
With the rise of these two main factions, the NCR and the Brotherhood of Steel, it's uncertain to say what the outcome of either side will be. Both face surmounting threats against their existence and it's hard to predict which side will come out on top.
You are Survivor. Everything you decide makes an impact on something in this new world. Choice matters and what you decide will shape your future.
This is a map of the Commonwealths of the United States. Each state is placed neatly in a specific Commonwealth. Your primary settings are around the East and West Coasts.
There are several main factions you can choose from. Each of the main Factions plays a vital role to the Story-line. NOTE: You don't have to choose any of these factions.
The Supermutant Alliance-A group of Supermutants who've started a resistance primarily in the Eastern Coast against the Brotherhood of Steel for Supermutant Rights.
The Californian Rebels-A group of NCR defectors who have started an uprising in California to overthrow the New California Republic and establish a new government.

Yeah, sorry, but just the obvious fact that he didn't make them is barely enough. It's stealing people's art if he doesn't cite them. Granted, the artists probably won't care much, but you should still be careful, namely with the Vulcan D'Kyr you used, since I know that is property of some people with tons of money.. Also, in regards to your science, you need to work on that. For example:

Radio waves are radio waves. They travel at the speed of radio waves. You can't speed up radio waves just like you can't speed up light. Radio waves have FIXED speeds in each different medium, so the only way to "speed" them up that comes to mind would be to send them through a micro-wormhole.

Atomization would kill whoever used it and create a copy of them. Congratulations on your genocide. I'd say quantum tunneling is more easily explicable as a method of transportation like you described, but we still don't know whether than obliterates what it transports and make a copy or actually transports stuff.

Warp Drive doesn't work the way you described. Actual alcubierre drive would move faster than light. The percentages you used would utterly negate the point of it. In fact, NASA is already working on how to make one and if it would work.

Jupiter has no solid ground. It is made of gate. The wreckage you described would be flinging itself around Jupiter if it wasn't crushed.

The United States could not declare war on China. Doing so would cause total global economic collapse.

You didn't explain the EU's collapse.

No explanation for US collapse or how the world economy's didn't implode because of it. Your corruption and unrest popped up out of nowhere. Did the panic only affect the US for some reason?

Once again, China supported a country that was in conflict with the US.

If you need help with research, I am happy to oblige.

The brain-mapping you talked about would likely happen earlier than what you said, too, with all the stuff that is going on, never mind the issues around putting people's minds into robotic bodies. I'd also suggest looking into 3D printing, specifically printing organs and the like.
Really, I'd cut out the conflicts between the US and China. They're more likely to become closer due to necessity. Conflict with Russia is much more likely, but the simple facts of nuclear weapons and US economic dominance would make conflict with the US utterly suicidal, not the mention the strength of the US Armed Forces and its multitude of allies.

Sorry for my rudeness earlier, the pictures will be cited once we organize things on here. If you'd like to assist in helping us with our Role-Play, it'd be much appreciated. As for the timeline, it's pretty good and through, but it could use tiny improvements here and there.

Good points, and some pretty good ideas, especially the radiation shielding, we hadn't thought of that yet. Your two-cents were very much needed, if you want to help us construct a plot and back-ground, that'd be awesome.

Yes, very hard, it was just a basis for the science fiction we're making, not everything in the entire world needs to cited due to hyper-fixation.

Good idea, a First Contact War would be an interesting concept, however the death toll should be lowered to somewhere in the thousands. After the war, there'd be some bitterness between both sides, but after awhile the bitterness would slowly fade away so we'd need to make the War end by a fair stalemate and period of reconstruction.

On a side note, we should look into Governmental/Military matters.

On another side note, currency should be Credits, Credits are a virtual currency that are stored in several massive databases(like a bank). Purchases and transactions would be conducted virually.

I wanted to go into some detail about the alien races, well at least one for now.

Taeloth Gen- The Taeloth Gen are an extraterrestrial race of humanoid-like beings that descend from the planet Tae (what we know as Gliese 667). The Taeloth Gen are a culturally diverse race of a high-intellect. They are known for their advancements in the technological fields such as medicine, sciences, and architecture. Their culture is similar to Asian culture, having a dynastic rule system and high value on education. Languages of the Taeloth Gen vary due to segregated cultures, though they all stem from the same alphabet. Taeloth Gen are commonly a more peaceful race, though they have been in conflict before. The Taeloth were the first species to be encountered by Humans and thus were the first Race known to Humans. At first, the Taeloth displayed a territorial hostility to the newest space-faring race of differing cultures, but eventually conflicts were resolved peacefully.

Genders- The Taeloth have three specified Genders in their Race. Male(Taele), Female(GenTaele), and Other(Ardot). Ardot's are a middle-sex gender that are very rare on Tae.

Appearance- Taeloth Gen are described as having almost the exact same body structure of a Human, having two arms and legs ten fingers total and ten toes total. Most Taeloth have a tentacle-life fringe that overlaps on their head, however the size of the fringe varies for many of the Taeloth.

Ethnicity- Similarly to Humans, the Taeloth divided themselves by Ethnicity. The most common Taeloth's are those with the tentacle-like fringe overlapping their head. Their skin is typically a shade of light purple. This Race is classified as the Taeloth Dao. Among the Taeloth Doa, two other Ethnicity's remain, that of which is the Taeloth Wong and the Taeloth Zao. The Taeloth Wong are a green tinted race known for their over-extended tentacle fringe that overlaps to their back. As for the Taeloth Zao, the Zao Race is described as the most foreign amongst the Taeloth Gen, having a rather Peach-Like tint of skin and no tentacle fringe. They are the most identical Race compared to Humans.

Social Structure- Like Humans, Taeloth's are divided by Social Classes. The three main classes include the Impoverished, the Middle Class, and the Wealthy. The Wealthy are typically involved with political, economic, and governmental affairs that impact Taeloth society. Middle Class Taeloth's are average citizens working in average paying jobs that range from teaching to engineering. By far the hardest working Social Class is the Impoverished Class. The Impoverished Class is typically affiliated with manual labor such as farming.

Cultures- On Tae, three cultures emerged from the Taeloth. The Hanatiki, the Anatiki, and the Anatuku. Each culture varies in religious, political, and governmental practices. The Hanatiki are a democratic culture of fair tempered Taeloth that is the largest culture on Tae. Next to Hanatiki is the Anatiki, a culture stemmed from barbarian-like tribes that conquered most of the Western lands on Tae. Anatiki practices a communist-like system. The last is Anatuku, a group that separated from the Anatiki after politcal differences. The Anatuku practice a Dictatorship and are a peaceful group.

Religion- While Religion varies widely among the Taeloth, the most common are Polytheistic, however there are a few Monotheistic religions. The main two religions are Taelothism, the belief in self-belief and that Gods created Tae, the other is Genisim, the belief in total devotion to the Gods and self-oppression. These two religions are often at odds with each other for varying reasons. The Genisits are ruled by a Pope-like figure while the Taelothists are a more relaxed, open religion. However, due to modernism, Taeloth religion is on a rapid decline after Atheism was introduced by Humans.

Languages- There are three main Taeloth languages: Talroth, Talwhoth, and Talarg. Talroth was the first and most commonly spoken language by the Taeloth, but as cultures varied, newer languages were made. Talwhoth was the first to derive from Talroth and was spoken by the Anatiki Taeloth. Talarg is the last language to come into existence, primarily spoken by the Anatuku Taeloth who seceded from the Anatiki Taeloth due to political differences.

Relationships- Unlike Humans, the Taeloth have a deeper bonding and connection level with their selected partner. Once a partner is selected, the Taeloth is bound to their partner for life, never leaving their side. Connections are formed when two Taeloth compete against each other in a dual. If both Taeloth are equally matched, then they are classified as the perfect match(or as stated in some religions, they found their soul mate). In some cases, bonds can be arranged by an offspring's parents, but this is rare and is only common in two cultures. As for friendships, strong, life-long bonds are also formed here, primarily through shared interests.

Reproduction- Taeloth Gen sexually reproduce with a desired partner, similarly to Humans. However, unlike Humans, the Taeloth's reproduction rate is substantially faster, pregnancy typically only lasts for four months before an offspring is conceived. Genetically, the offspring will inherit 50% of their parents traits.

Growth Rate/Age Range- While the Taeloth lack in a proper age system, they do keep track of the Growth Rate of an off-spring. Taeloth have three main stages of Growth in their life. The earliest stage is the Youth Stage which ranges from Newborn to the age of 30. After the Taeloth exceeds 30, they will enter the Middle Stage, a period of time from age 30 to age 60. The last stage is the Old Stage which ranges from age 60 and older. Taeloth Gen can live for approximately 150 years given if said Taeloth is healthy.

I think I may join. Though I would like to make sure of something. I like to play a kind of crazy cultist type of character and I was hoping this time I could play a guy from a cult dedicated to biological engineering. Essentially they are the guys that create the hyper-evolutionary death swarm, but with maybe a thousand more years of technological advance and seven more levels of crazy. Mainly they modify themselves to look human but be immortal, study xeno-biology, and create hive-minded slave creatures.

Also on the note of crazy cults: No space setting is complete without a cult where everyone wants to become a robot.

Interesting, well you can be a cultist as long as he/she is not overpowered.

We could have something like telekinetic powers, it would use nanobots with a wireless link to your brain. It would require a permanent implant, and you would have to carry around large amounts of nanobots (which would use either conventional propulsion to move objects or some sort of antigrav pulse, but all of my ideas for antigravity, well, you can't exactly turn it off.) Cybernetics and organ cloning are definitely good ideas. I also have an idea for an overarching storyline, I'm thinking something involving xenophobic humans who are only now venturing out of their own space, after shunning all aliens centuries ago. First contact would have been forgotten, or maybe it never happened at all. A "stranger in a strange land" setting.

Really good ideas, I like the nanobots concept, also the story-line is interesting. Have xenophobic humans start conflict with the races of the universe? Sounds like a good plot line, but we have to delve deeper as to why they're xenophobic, we shouldn't have an outright evil stand-point, if we make the xenophobes seem reasonable then it'll add depth to the story. Maybe there was an Alien conflict that put the humans at odds with a certain race. But the conflicts would have to be recent to First Contact so as leave room for xenophobia, therefore the First Contact wouldn't be forgotten. I definitely want this RP to have a Mass Effect feel without overdoing it, so maybe we can stem some ideas from the series.
