"How many hours are in a day when you don't spend half of them watching television?
When is the last time any of us REALLY worked to get something that we wanted?
How long has it been since any of us really NEEDED something that we WANTED?
The world we knew is gone.
The world of commerce and frivolous necessity has been replaced by a world of survival and responsibility.
An epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. In a matter of months society has crumbled,
No Government,
No Grocery Stores,
No Mail Delivery,
No Cable TV.
In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to finally start living."
-Exert from "The Walking Dead" Comics, Robert Kirkman.

((Why not? It's been a few years since Nevada, & like I said, the demand for resources is high. Within a year or two after liberating Nevada; surely the NCR would've considered expanding. They have the Dam, which was vital to them considering that it controls most of the power in Nevada & with that power, could possibly expand it back to California. But that power's useless to them since they lack in raw materials, resources, etc. & the NCR already had a presence in Denver, Colorado by 2251, though not to a large scale. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Denver.))
James, Post-Apocalyptic Denver, Colorado. A once bustling city home to a vast population of over six-hundred thousand Americans. The city was a shadow of it's former self. The Pre-War buildings stood ruined & tall, painting a grey, lifeless mural over the war torn landscape of Colorado. A metropolitan city which was ruled by democracy now stood silent, a broken mirror that the NCR intended to fix.
James had speculated that the whole expansion into more Eastern based states was not because of NCR's typical propaganda of "spreading democracy", a Pre-War practice that had long been forgotten until the NCR was established, but because they simply needed more resources. After the Second Battle of Hoover Dam & the riots that occurred back in California, the NCR realized that their scarce resources would eventually lead to their implosion. Spreading East was just a cover up for stealing more resources from unstable communities & forcefully establishing a strong hold in an independent state. & though this was beneficial to the state, it often lead to more disagreements & rioting. Nevada was proof enough, but if the NCR hadn't taken it, it might have fallen to Caesar's Legion. All in all, the NCR had good intentions, but often got themselves way over their head.
The small caravan of NCR soldiers patrolled the empty streets of Denver. Rubble & debris scattered across the city, often blocking passages & making Denver harder to navigate. They'd taken Interstate 25 to get to Colorado, it'd stretched far back into New Mexico, & was a somewhat safe passage across the U.S. James was in deep with five of his squad mates, Private David Barns, Sargent Mark Jackson, Private First Class Leonard Weston, Specialist Thomas Smith, & Private Henry Burns. & though their caravan didn't have a specified leader, Sargent Mark had assumed the role as one. For three days, the group had scoured over the massive city. At the most, ten survivors were found. No communities had sprung up around Denver, a little miles away, one called "Dryden" had been discovered by the group. It was a sufficient community that acted as a Republic, but Denver was different, dead, forgotten. It was a shell of its past life that'd long been abandoned & destroyed.
James maintains a firm grip on his service rifle. His gun at the ready, James' eyes scanned the area. Twisted metal work & frames remained from the tall sky scrappers. Passing the Brown Palace Hotel, the group turns at a crossing in the roads. Burns whistles in remark to the grand size of the Hotel. It'd partially caved in, but it's Pre-War nostalgia played a curious effect on the group as they marveled at the architecture. -"Never seen a city this...empty." Thomas chimes in, his voice somewhat echoes off the buildings. Mark acknowledges Thomas' input & nods as his eyes squint in the sunlight. Even with goggles on, his eyes weren't fully immune to the suns bright rays which often made a persistent glare in the plastic like screen. James lowers his guard as he rolls a cigarette from it's package. Quickly striking a match, the faint odor surfaces from the tip of the match as he brings it to the cigarette that he'd placed between his lips. After lighting the cigarette & tossing the match astray, James breathes in the burnt nicotine & ash; a slight burning tingle in his throat brings a sudden rush of relaxation over him. It'd been a day since he last smoked, & the wait was killing him. Exhaling the smoke, James adjusts his aviators to the upper bridge of his nose.
-"Can I have a smoke?" Barns asks.
James nods & removes a cigarette for him, followed by a match. -"Thanks." Barns says as he lights the cigarette. As Mark scans over the area, the group takes a short resting period, eating a little bit of the Pre-War, radiation preserved food & drinking the purified water. The food didn't have the best taste, but it was certainly better than eating raw Gecko meat. -"Let's move out." Mark commands as he stands up from his crouch. James tosses the trash from his meal astray as he picks up his rifle, checking the chamber as typically instructed, it was protocol, & begins following Mark.
Ethnicity-Caucasian/English & Irish Ancestry, but primarily American.
Race-Human
Physical & Facial Appearance-(Facial)Due to James being on tour for the NCR in Colorado, James has developed a gruff & grimy appearance. His skin is callus, tan, & somewhat covered in dirt. His hair is a graying-dark brown, monthly trimmed to an unkempt, short length, sometimes he goes with a buzz cut. Accordingly to him not shaving as often; James has a grown out graying-dark brown stubble. As for eye color, James’ eyes are a light hazel. His cheeks are pronounced & he has a cleft chin. Showing his age clearly, James has frown wrinkles & other typical middle-aged man wrinkles, but nothing serious. (Physical)Spending most his twenties in the NCR, James has built up toned muscles, but is by no means ‘ripped’. Standing at 6’1 feet tall & weighing approximately 184 pounds, James is bulky, well suited for the work he does. Barrel-chested, broad-shouldered, & slim are the few words that could describe his physical appearance. As a summary, James is pretty average looking. Considerably handsome, but not drop dead beautiful.
Clothing/Armor-James dons the standard NCR tan military fatigues. Despite protocol, James doesn’t wear the goggled helmet that comes with the clothing. In place, he wears aviator sunglasses. Along with the armor, James carries several gun holsters, one hip holster for his handgun on his right hip & a sheath for his knife on his left hip.
Personality-For having a rough upbringing, James doesn’t seem to show any sign of wear & tear from his youth. Though having a few emotional problems(unlinked to his upbringing), James is a rather cheery man. He’s stubborn, which has gotten him into disagreements with his superiors, & arrogant, two traits he inherited from his Father who was a Staff-Sergeant in the NCR. His cynical outlook on life & sarcastic humor do him no better as these traits have also caused differences. Despite being cocky, James is a realist & attempts to not get in over his head, though he often does which leads to his superiors getting disgruntled. James is cunning, he can often deduce a solution to a problem quickly, & is quick to make a fair judgment call. He often is considered by his peers to be a narcissist; James is yet to prove them wrong. Though being raised poorly, James still received a well-balanced education from the NCR & is fairly intelligent, has smarts on certain topics. At an early age, James was taught to have good morals, thus making him a morally good man who makes fairly neutral judgment calls when needed.(Disorders)As for disorders, James has ADHD & due to exposure to war has minor Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder which has often lead to several difficulties.
Karma-James is fairly neutral, though he typically leans more on the good side. When confronted with certain decisions, he’ll typically choose what feels ’good’ to him, this is supported by him having a strong moral sense.
Background-James grew up in Northern California in the NCR’s farming community. At an early age, James spent a portion of his life farming. His mother died from Tetanus when he was seven years old, & with his Father on tour, James received most of his guidance from another farmer named Jeff. After being wounded in action, James’ Father returned home when he was eleven & from then on guided James towards the NCR military path. Growing up with a brother & sister, James relied on his older brother while farming. After his brother was enlisted into the NCR, James was tasked with raising his younger sister who later died at age ten from a severe fever that nearly started an outbreak in the farming community. Growing up, James received a decent education which later helped him climb the ranks faster. Upon turning eighteen, James enlisted in the NCR & within three years climbed to the rank of Corporal. Though not participating in the first Battle of Hoover Dam, James later saw action after being stationed in Nevada. During the Second Battle of Hoover Dam, he was placed in charge of helping the NCR Military Police maintain the out breaking riots on the Strip & Freeside. Though nearly dying while keeping the Freesiders from creating substantial property damage to the strip; James helped ratchet down the riots. A few years after the Second Battle, James developed Post-Traumatic Disorder while stationed in Arizona for a month. After visiting a therapist for a year, his Disorder was treated. Before receiving the last of his treatment, James was sent on tour to Colorado where several tribal communities had been struggling over valuable resources. The NCR feared that if the situation increased, it’d lead to the creation of a community similar to Caesar’s Legion.
Standardized NCR M&A 9mm Pistol w/4 clips of ammo.
Bowie Knife.
3 NCR MRE Rations.
Canteen of water.
Package of Cigarettes.
2 Frag Grenades.
Most items are carried in either the pouches on his uniform or his Brahmin skin rucksack. Due to being on tour, James will have miscellaneous gear that are carried by pack Brahmin.
Other-Over the years, the NCR started expanding East, but due to lack of resources, they only managed to reach Colorado before in fighting occurred back in California. Fallout.
((Little hard to believe that you'd be let off the hook for mass murder on the account of being "dead". Plus facial recognition, CIA would be able to find you, etc.))
Tom, Jeff, & Benny, -"What girls? This is a warehouse, not at whorehouse." Benny says, pulling his gun from his pocket. The woman's eyes dart to the gun & tenses up. The man named Alex raises his hands in the air so as to act innocent. The woman keeps her hands to her sides as she continues to glare up at Benny. Tom & Jeff remove their guns from their pockets as the three of them keep a strong stance. -"Who are you?" Benny asks aggressively, raising the gun level to the woman's forehead.
((Accepted.)) Jeff, Tom, & Benny, Benny glares at the woman as she gropes the man who Benny knew as Alex. -"No actually, you don't belong here." Benny says aggressively. Benny knew for sure that this woman didn't belong here. Not only was this a warehouse, it certainly wasn't a whorehouse. Don Franco made sure to put business before pleasure. Jeff glances over to the man sitting in the booth with the woman on his lap. He's somewhat envious but realizes that now isn't the time to be fondling over women, this girl was an intruder, & for whatever reasons she was in this warehouse, half-naked, & groping a man who'd been well trusted by Benny. The woman sticks to her "hard to get" personality as she pucks her lips at Benny, a slight glare on her face. Tom's hand firmly grips the handle of his Glock from his jeans pocket, whatever was to happen would be violent.
Jeff & Tom, Jeff & Tom are given a small list of instructions to enact as a reminder before being sent out of Don Franco's room. Jeff descends the stairs with Tom, both are relatively silent, things were somewhat awkward as they made their way out of Don Franco's house. Advancing down the sidewalk, Tom & Jeff maintained a hurried pace. The sidewalks weren't necessarilybustling with crowds of people, it was a Tuesday, people were in school or at work. Occasionally, a few businessmen walked past, off to their job. As the two inch closer to the warehouse, Tom checks the time on his phone. It read 2:30 P.M. Tom glances over at Jeff who'd picked up in speed a little. Keeping up with Jeff, Tom turns the corner. Inch by inch they got closer & closer to the warehouse.
The warehouse was massive, a large grey storage unit by the docks. Outside the warehouse were several black SUV's & a white Pizza Car. The pizza car looked out of place, & Jeff wondered who'd ordered the pizza. Jeff figured that it'd be George, he figured him to be a fat-ass considering that he was four-hundred some pounds, maybe more. Tom opens one of the large steel double doors leading into the warehouse; holding it open long enough for Jeff to enter before abruptly closing it shut behind him.
The interior of the warehouse was similar to the outside, massive. Sky high ceiling, fluorescent lighting, concrete flooring, it looked like every other warehouse in New York, though this one was packed sky high with illegal substances. Several crates were stacked around the room, prepared for shipping by sea. A large garage like door presumably lead out to the docks where the crates would be taken for shipping. Tom scans the room for Benny. Benny was supposed to be in isle B15. Tom walks along the isles, passing the A's. Jeff trudges along behind Tom, his hands in his sweatshirt's pockets. The clicking of Tom's tongue distracts Jeff as Tom passes into the C's. -"If only they'd do a better labeling job..." Jeff trails off as he turns back. Jeff swivels on his heel as he follows Tom.
The two eventually cross over into the B's after three minutes of searching. Tom looks ahead down the isle & see's a bulky figure in the distance. Presuming the man to be Benny, Tom motions for Jeff to follow him as he sets off in his direction. As Tom nears Benny, he looks over to Tom in Jeff & nods. -"Been looking for you two, boss said you'd be working with me for this deal, congratulations." Benny says warmly. -"Thanks." Tom mutters as he finally reaches Benny. The two stand & awkwardly watch Benny scan his clipboard. -"Shipment consists of fifteen pounds of Crystal, two pounds of Pot, one pound of Cocaine..." -"Jesus." Jeff says under his breath, his eyes trailing up the crates. -"& five boxes of Cuban Cigs." Benny finishes up. -"That's a lot of drugs, how're we supposed to bring that on a plane?" Tom asks. -"We're not, it being shipped by truck. Should be in Cali by the end of the week, granted it makes it that far. We're expecting the deal to happen on the 26th, if sooner, we'll be informed, that's when we postpone." Benny says.
Tom nods & Jeff's eyes are still glued to the crates. -"You said a pound of Cocaine, right?" Jeff asks. -"Yeah, a pound." Benny responds, checking his clipboard quickly to make sure. Jeff nods before Benny grabs his attention again. -"You guys all set for tommorow?" He asks. -"Yeah, we need to pack, this is all so...short noticed." Tom responds. -"Agreed, I only learned about four hours ago, Don Franco's a good man but he can't plan worth sh*t." Benny responds. Jeff & Tom laugh as they nod in agreement. The three stand together, Benny's eyes keep glancing over past the two. Tom follows his eyes to a small booth area. -"You see that girl?" Benny asks. -"Yeah." Tom responds. -"She came in just a few minutes ago, she looks suspicious, haven't seen her here before." Benny says. Jeff squints off to what looks like a woman in her underwear sitting with some guy. -"She looks pretty hot." Jeff chimes in. -"Regardless; she doesn't belong here, come on, follow me." Benny says. Tom & Jeff follow Benny closely as he inches closer to the booth. The figures sitting at the booth become clearer & clearer. A kid named Alex sat with a woman who looked uncomfortable. Jeff glances over to Tom who raises his eyebrow. A druggie leans over the table & Benny shoo's him away as he looks onto Alex & the woman. -"Hello Alex." Benny says. Jeff & Tom approach from his sides, Jeff on the woman's side & Tom on Alex's side. Benny stands between Tom & Jeff as he looks onto Alex. Jeff's eyes stay glued to the woman's cleavage, to which Tom smiles & shakes his head.

Post-Apocalyptic Denver, Colorado.

Name-James
Age-35
Gender-Male

-"What girls? This is a warehouse, not at whorehouse." Benny says, pulling his gun from his pocket.
The woman's eyes dart to the gun & tenses up. The man named Alex raises his hands in the air so as to act innocent. The woman keeps her hands to her sides as she continues to glare up at Benny. Tom & Jeff remove their guns from their pockets as the three of them keep a strong stance.
-"Who are you?" Benny asks aggressively, raising the gun level to the woman's forehead.
0
Jeff, Tom, & Benny,
Benny glares at the woman as she gropes the man who Benny knew as Alex.

Jeff & Tom are given a small list of instructions to enact as a reminder before being sent out of Don Franco's room. Jeff descends the stairs with Tom, both are relatively silent, things were somewhat awkward as they made their way out of Don Franco's house. Advancing down the sidewalk, Tom & Jeff maintained a hurried pace. The sidewalks weren't necessarily bustling with crowds of people, it was a Tuesday, people were in school or at work.
-"Shipment consists of fifteen pounds of Crystal, two pounds of Pot, one pound of Cocaine..."
-"Jesus." Jeff says under his breath, his eyes trailing up the crates.
