Hi Everyone. I would like to ask for your help.
I'm having less time than ever to work in the mods, so progress is going extremely slow. Some of my teammates have been also very busy lately. Ships&Boat coding is much more complex than other mods, and now is more complex than ever, because of the SMP integration. To properly maintain SaB requires a lot of time that I do not have anymore. At this rate, it is taking too long to release new versions.
That's why I want to find more programmers who would help developing our mods. Moreover, I would like to find somebody who could take the leading role developing the mods. It has to be somebody with advanced knowledge of Java, Minecraft internals, Mercurial, and Maven.
Please tell everyone about this. If anyone has the required skills, please PM me.
Meanwhile I will continue developing the mod in my spare time. However, expect long delays between releases.

Hey. This is a great mod and i really enjoy using it but i was wondering if you could also add more realistic cannon balls that don't explode on impact?

I have finished a new version of my armorplate mod . I will post it here, because it do not make sence at them moment to make a new topic for that, and i first wait for reactions of you.
-changed hardness and resistance
- ADDED new block: Destroyed Armor Plate it will spawn if a armor plate will be destroyed. So you must destroy it too to make a hole into the enemy ship
Ideas for the future:
-make a tool to repair the destroyed armor plates
-put the downloaded .zip file into your .minecraft/mods ordner
= planks =
= 10X light armor plate
= 10X middle armor plate
= 10X heavy armor plate
I hope Ships and boats will be updated in near future
Seems nice. It adds some needed stuff to SaB
Status update: I've been having little time to work on SaB lately. I hope to have some hours this weekend to advance more. As soon as I have something new I will post a new video!

Are you planning on updating ships and boats first? Then working on the merger. Or will the merged mod be what we see for 1.3.2?
Not that I'm all that concerned with 1.3.2, as all the mods I like haven't all updated yet. So I'm still rockin' the 1.2.5
This is the plan:
1.- Port SaB to 1.3.2. Split the mod into two independent mods: Ships&Boats and Weaponry (cannons will go in this mod)
2.- Merge with Physicscraft

I'm not sure , because as of now I haven't run a server with bukkit AND mods, is there a way this can be used with bukkit when it goes SMP?
After I port to 1.3.2 I will evaluate how hard would it be to add bukkit support. Since I'm using Forge, it might not be that hard, since forge has some support for Bukkit.

BTW, when I saw Fallen Angel's blog, http://luckybernadi.blogspot.com/, one thing caught my attention: the cannon has a very cool texture!
Where can I get that texture pack and the cannon and seat textures?

That error happens because the vi.class file in ShipAndBoatsMod.zip is not correctly copied into minecraft.jar
Please try copying that file into minecraft.jar again. Does the problem persist?
/facepalm - I'm an idiot. I blindly saw "modloader" and put it in the mods folder. I knew it'd be something stupid and simple like that. :sleep.gif:
Now that I've got it working, here's an amusing "bug" that I've found.
If you take your boat near land, and a creeper then runs towards you, and blows up. It can send you boat off in a strange direction. Including up and onto land.
...Once on land the creepers didn't move me though.
On a side note, the following is a list of mods that I'm currently running with S&B (Ships & Boats). This could be used as some sort of a compatibility check.
