As a first step we are going to run the old greifer map until the plugins get updated and we get our mod-tools back.

The same rules apply this time as last, keep your language clean and dont mess up for other players!

Hopefully we will get our old map back and we can get back to business :biggrin.gif:

I'd like to take a moment to thank Elme and all the admins for all your dedication to this server. I've had countless great memories of this server, and feel a little ashamed for having never donated any money or even thanking anyone. I've been playing this server for around six years now (a third of my life!) and while I can't say I've had the pleasure of meeting Sinn, Elme, or seeing such things as the sky city, I do have my own memories of others such as Sparky, Epik Russian, and many others whose names I sadly forget. I still play this server maybe once a week (though I stopped about a month ago because of mounting school work) typically I'd play alone but sometimes Epik or one of my irl friends would join me.

I just wanted to say thanks again to everyone reading this, I have no technical skill so I can't help in any of your endeavors but I want you lot to know that you at least have my gratitude for whatever it is worth.

Hello guys! It sure has been a while, I am grateful that you cherish the server, I sure do cherish the memory of the good old days back in the alpha too. I love that I somehow contributed to your good memories, even though I have to give most of the credit to the moderators and specially Sinn. I do still talk with him every now and again and he is doing really great!

Unfortunately I have cancelled the server as no one was maintaining or playing on the Minecraft server and that was the last thing I used it for, it was pretty expensive considering that I too am a student. I think the server will be down around the 20'th of May. I can probably arrange some other hardware or extend it for a while if you are really interested in this project, but unfortunately it requires a lot of time and work to maintain a Minecraft server. The last couple of people who tried to do so all got surprised by the amount of work.

I would be interested in a small "get-together" myself if you can manage to gather some people for sure. Maybe one last project on a freebuild server? I don't know, let me know what you think.

Somehow with the course of the night, after coming back to my dorm and screwing around. Procrastinating my Calculus 3 homework, I started thinking about Minecraft, and when I started playing the game. It was in August of 2010 that I started, right in the heart of alpha. It was in these times that I discovered this server, with the floating "island" or whatever it was that Sinn_ah_taggh had built and was moderating way way back in the day. I was 12 years old. At 12 years old playing this game, exchanging diamonds for a spot in this floating landscape.

Now I sit here, an 18 year old Engineering student. Can't help reminisce on the old times, the great memories and the people that I met on this server. How many hours, weekends, months, and years I spent playing this game on this server. It evokes such nostalgia. I see that the server has had a few burps of activity here and there. I wish in the bustle and rush of everyday life, just for one weekend, we could go back to the alpha, beta stage of the game, back to the old maps, with the old moderating group and the old players. Just for one weekend to relive those memories.

I would love to hear from those of you who maybe got an email from the forum because I commented on this post. I am surprised I even got into this account considering its been inactive for so many years and since my emails and my passwords have changed.

I love remembering such fond old memories like these. Would love to hear from some of you original guys.
