    Awesome stuff. Looks bootiful!
One little thing. the input field for the water lava level in the export is to short. It clips the second number.

Are you sure? It's meant to become active whenever you have typed a complete path to an existing directory. The directory has to exist already, it won't be created for you. I've just tested that it works on my system, but I'm on Linux, so perhaps it's a Windows quirk.

Just grabbed your new version and it worked fine. Yep, I was going to a already made directory C:\Users\Username\Desktop I hope my desktop is there! :smile.gif:

Awesome new features btw. What a fantastic tool you made here man. :iapprove:

I was curious, do you plan on having a way if it's possible to zoom in/out for more fine control of the process for specific areas?

Also, I found an interesting bug (At least I think they are bugs). when you export, you can select multi choices for the border. Also if you type in a place to save the instead of using the [...] button. The Export button is greyed out.

I accidentally flooded the whole screen with lava...
I recommend an "Undo" button for dumb people like me...

Also, how do I use the .world file in MineCraft?

Yeah, I'm sure and undo is coming but he mentioned it sucks up alot of memory if I remember correctly.

As for the world file, see this post.

    If you'd be so kind?

    well, this is simply bizarre.
I've been tinkering with this thing trying to get it to work. Trying the different suggestions.

I've tried command line, double clicking, right-click then "open with" all spit the error at me.
I grabbed my neighbors little netbook and dl the program, install java on his machine, run Worldbuilder from command line and it runs fine. Works fine double clicking too.

So I gave up, went and had dinner. Came back. downlanded the file just incase, used the command line and it works fine now. Still errors on export with double clicking and "open with".

But the landscape that I'd made with the erroring one now blows up when i load it. lol no biggy, I wasn't that far.

    weird...

@MinecraftMapMaker, @Sinister Brain: could you try moving the WorldPainter.jar file to your desktop, and executing it from there?

I just tried it in Windows, and if I run the program straight from the browser's downloads window, it doesn't work (I get the same error as you), but if I move the file to my desktop, it does work.

EDIT: Just saw your above post I missed. I'll check the new version and get back straight away.

That was where I had it when I got the error. I tried moving it then to a folder of it's own, Same thing.

There any other info I can provide please let me know. :smile.gif:

    OS - Windows 7 - 64 Home
    Java version is....

    Question:
Will this move facilitate an upgrade to a more robust bulletin board software? Something like vBulletin. Because quite frankly, while I use phpBB myself and am quite pleased with it, let there be no mistake: phpBB isn't suited for the size of the community you guys built here, neither it has many of the facilities that could make this community even better.

    Amen to that. :iapprove:
PhpBB is nice (And free) but with this many people you start getting into it's limits.
Hell, even SMF handles huge communities better than PhpBB. vBulletin though is the king; and it's the king for a reason.

The largest forum in the world runs on phpBB. It's for one of those free MMORPGs. I don't remember what it's called. I'm sure it's been modified more than Frankenstein to support the load.

That would be Gaia Online and yeah, that board is so modded its not even funny not to mention they have constant problems. http://www.big-boards.com/

EDIT: Heavens to mergatroid, this might be a good sign the forum software needs changing when it takes 3 submits to get the post to show. Thankfully I always CTRL+c my posts before I hit "submit".

There's a lot to not like about Curse but what is with this whole "they give me a virus" baloonjuice?
I've DLed stuff from them for years (WoW related) and never ever got infected. Of course I'm not happy-click-person and typically scan everything I download before I open it.
This whole virus nonsense seems to have started with the rash of infected files ALL (I repeat, ALL the WoW addon sites got.) WoWInterface, Curse, WoWUI (IncGamers WoW Site), and I think one other all got nailed. Curse and WoWInterface where incredibly fast with the response. WoWUI got hit the worst with not only addons begin infected but someone injecting their addon updater as well.
Throwing around accusation of infections can do massive harm to websites. WoWUI can attest to that.
I'm sorry to say this but most users wouldn't know where an infection happened nine times out of ten. They aren't meant to. Drive by installs (Like many other infection types) are meant to be silent and lay dormant.
So while I have issues with Curse on a wider scope, I can not, and never will fault them for this virus nonsense. They handled it like pros.

Not a big fan of curse at all.
I anxiously await the placement of ads in every inch of free space in the forums now though.

Oh well, business is business I guess.
