    Could you please update your chat logger to use UTF-8 (unicode) output format instead of ANSI?
    Reasons why should you do this:
    1)Minecraft uses UTF-8, not ANSI.
    2)
    Symbols that have black as their background are logged OK, because they are present both in ANSI and UTF-8, but other symbols that have red as their background are UTF-8 only and are lost during UTF-8 to ANSI conversion that your plugin does, which makes them being logged as "?".

    Thats a real deal with translated versions of Minecraft, as they use those symbols, replacing them with letters of their native language.
    Translation command do not fix it, as it still makes use of ANSI. And use of ANSI characters getting player kicked for "Illegal Characters in Chat" on most servers.
    So as of now using chatlogger on a server with a chat based on non-latin symbols isnt possible.
    PLEASE FIX THIS!

    Useless post is useless. They spawn in INSANE quantities under certain conditions (certain X coord below depth 16), and there is no way to prevent them from spawning - they begin to multiply in any light level, and after 10-15 minutes they bring my framerate to 5-10 FPS until i go away far enough so they despawn. That REALY annoys me.

    Still does not work for me. Perhaps because i have my minecraft.jar extracted for better performance (my MC is unplayable otherwise), but every other mod works ok. IDK what to do with this one.

    So we all do know that the slime spawn is currently very bugged, so until Notch releases his own fix, i would rather turn them off completely.

    But thats not the only point:

    In SMP there are 2 kind of slime spawns - server ones and bugged client ones. My guess is that the reason of such behavior is that SSP spawn is bugged so much that it doesn't turns itself off while in SMP. So by disabling both slime spawn and their "divide" capabilities we should be pretty much fixing client-side slime spawning in SMP.

    P.S. Please do not post some useless crap like "just relog lol" and such - that is not an appropriate solution.

    Hey guys, can you read? Then read OP and don't write completely useless offtopic.

    I know they can spawn at any light level below Y=16, but i also do know that the spawning is glitched and that they will spawn only in x/z coordinates of certain multiplicity. What i need to know is what is that multiplicity. I know i saw it somewhere here, but the search function is currently off :SSSS:

    Ok. Ive had a large underground room above bedrock (100x100) before update, and after it the room began being flooded with slimes at an alarming speed.
    I know that slime spawn algorithm is bugged right now and will spawn them only in a special coordinate intervals.
    What i need is the info on how to determine the locations of slime spawns and way to disable them (maybe put a glass floor in those coords idk)

    I switched off my firewall and changed "localhost" to 127.0.0.1 in config file.
    It had 0 result. Mod initializes, window shows up, but it shows is only a grey rectangle.
    Please help me - i REALLY want to use it :'(

    I have installed it correctly, along with modloader.
    When i enter a game it says "AutoMap Mod v4 Initialized"
    Then i launch the map MinecraftAM.exe? but all it shows is a grey window without anything else - i turned everything on in its options, but still have no map.

    After some time it renders "Connection refused" message with a suggestion that i did not installed either of mods propperly (which i did and triple checked).

    Is there any way to change encoding of the Chatlogger to Unicode? I use localized version of the client, so all of unicode symbols appear as "?" in log file :sleep.gif:
