    Introduction




    My intention with this mod was make Minecraft remain a challenge and to give it a more unique experience. Because I lack the skill in programming enhanced AI or equipment, I intended for this mod to add mobs and make the game harder while more powerful and well coded mods provide high-end enhancements to the player.

    Details on use:

    Here are the basic conditions for using/including Grimoire of Gaia 3 in a mod pack:

    • Do not make money from the modpack which this mod, "Grimoire of Gaia 3" is included in.
    • A link to the forum post in which this mod, "Grimoire of Gaia 3" originated from.
    • Credit to the author of this mod (Silentine).
    That's basically it. Fulfill these conditions and you have my permission to use this mod in a mod pack.

    Do you mean the config? If so; not possible.
    If you mean the actual script found on GitHub, removing the line of code that makes the attack players from the main file EntityMobHostileBase should work.

    I suggest using a mod called Custom NPCs to make your own traders.

    I'm not sure. I don't know how InControl works.

    Besides, this mod uses the BiomeDictionary to spawn mobs. They are not directly tied to a specific biome although the conditions for them are tailored to be.

    Currently a majority of them (limited to Tier 1 mobs) can be given Monster Feed and they will act like Iron Golems. They will not follow the player around nor can they be ordered.

    Update:




    Grimoire of Gaia 3 (1.6.2) for Minecraft (1.12.2) has now been uploaded.


    Spawns have been fixed up to be more compatible with mutated biomes. Also fixed up the option to set hostile mobs that spawn during the day to be passive.

    It fixes a few bugs reported from the release version. I also overhauled the way rare and very rare drops work.

    Update:




    The (1.6.0) release version for Minecraft 1.12.2 has now finally been finalized and released!
    (If it is not present in the downloads page yet that is because it is still Under Review)


    It has been 3 weeks since I started working on this mod again. Due the input of the community, I managed to fix up the beta a lot and get things done, especially with the recent help of mrbysco.


    I cannot thank bloodmc, DoctorWiggles, P3pp3rf1y and mrbysco enough for helping me port the mod to 1.12.2. Without the help and contributions of these people, the mod would have most likely been left in development hell.


    I think I need to take a short break from modding before I suffer from burnout. I still need to update the wikia and make a few graphics for the Discord server.


    That is all. Thanks for staying tuned in with the development of the mod. It's been a rough journey, but we managed to get there.

    Initially, they were suppose to be like the Dwarves; they can spawn as melee or ranged. Thing is, Orc Archers are nearly unheard of.


    What I might do is replace the idea of an Orc Archer with Orc Shaman instead. The only difference between the shaman and archer is that they don't shoot arrows.


    I like the idea of a Warlord/Chieftain. Unfortunately, I do not plan to implement it on release. Perhaps a few weeks after.

    The (1.12.2-beta4) has now been released.

    (If it is not present in the downloads page yet that is because it is still Under Review)


    Fixed a bug in this release:

    • Arachne causing the client to crash on dedicated servers (credit to Febilian).

    I have been playing around with the AI this time around. I want to make the mobs have a bit more variety.


    Due to its status being in beta, I plan to take advantage of its status to test out AI changes. My primary concern though are multiplayer sessions as I have no means of testing it out myself and I feel if I add anything out of the ordinary it will lead to issues down the road (like the bugs Fabilian has reported).


    Based from the responses so far there seems to be no major issues that affect the entire mod.
