Ok I love the new shaders pack! It looks marvelous, especially the reflections!
One thing i just noticed, however, the moon reflection is always the same, as is the light source from the moon. Meaning, even when there is no moon in the sky, the light and reflection of a full moon is there. Is this fixable?
I don't see what you mean. Is it possible to have a screenshot?
I think he meant that water is always reflective, it reflects the light sources of sun and moon always, even if you're in a cave, same goes with clouds (they are also always relfected in the water)
im experiencing lag (15 fps) and errors (Invalid program, gbuffers_hand, entities, and terrain) on Vibrant 1.03 when i normally get about 30fps on pre9 with 32 chunk render distance.
Some things that should be said is that it doesn't render like the weird yellow/pink gradient thing at first, but only if I load the shader pack a second time. The first time I load it, it displays only a black screen.
Also, it only renders one frame. And it displays only that one frame as the game continues to simulate the world in real time.
EDIT: Oh, whoops, I forgot to add a file extension to it for you. Linux opens extension-less files as text files, so I forgot. Just add ".txt" to the end when you download it.
There's a lot weird stuff going one also that one here:
Please report at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Mesa
[19:06:45 INFO]: Client> Mesa 10.1.3 implementation error: brw_update_renderbuffer_surface: renderbuffer format MESA_FORMAT_RGBX_UNORM16 unsupported
Not quite sure what's up with this one, maybe Karyonix know more about it.
Probably a driver issue, but I need the log that the minecraft developement console creates, so just keep your launcher open while selecting the shaderpack ingame. After that send me the log..post it on pastebin for example.
It seems fine to me, just a lot warnings because of floats. But before it crashes it says
An unrecoverable stack overflow has occurred.
You may get more help about that in Karyonix thread, the only thing I know is that there are some issues on certain intel drivers.
Dang, this doesn't work for my Macbook Air. It says in the "About Mac" section that I have Intel HD Graphics 4000 and I've tried installing this version of shaders and it doesn't work. Any tips?
Which one? Vibrant 1.03 Intel should work, otherwise it's maybe a driver / mod / forge issue, and the basic shaders should also work. (Both shaders were tested on Intel Hds 4000 and macs without problems.)
Ok, so I skimmed through the last few pages of posts, forgive me if I missed something simple...
but I cannot get shaders to work. Followed the directions, everything's working... except that despite saying "shaders initialized" no perceptible visual change occurs. I've tried doing this in 1.7.2 Forge, 1.7.4 + ShadersMod with and without Optifine.
On a Mac Pro running OS X 10.9.2 w/ AMD Radeon 5770 and a NVIDIA Quadro 4000, however as the latter is not connected to a display I assume it's irrelevant.
The AMD 5000 series causes some issues with my shaders, not sure why.
I really enjoy your shaders. SEUS doesn't work for me, and strangely your vibrant max seem to have the same issue, but it's probably because I have nVidia Optimus or because its a mobile card or etc... The basic vibrant shaders work near flawlessly. I use the term near since I have the following issues, and no way to determine if they are as designed, or related to my card.
First is the transition between day/night has a very abrupt threshold where suddenly everything is darker/brighter. Both sides look great, and even the transition, though jarring, is easy enough to get used to. However, what is strange, is the light that the torch you are holding gives off changes also. So if you happen to be in a cave, and the transition happens, suddenly it looks like your torch has gone out.
The second issue is mobs seem to glow to some degree. During the day they are like lightbulbs in dark areas such as caves. At night they are not, but are still more visible than the surrounding area. It may have something to do with the day/night transition.
And lastly rain and snow. I guess this is a Mojang update? Once you get up high enough you are above the rain, it seems to stop. I guess it is supposed to be snowing, as snow begins to cover the ground, but I do not see the snow animation around me. This is also at night, I've yet to test it during the day.
Lastly, thanks for these shaders.
Thanks, glad you still enjoy them Most of this things are fixed in an upcoming version, check my facebook page for more informations and news.
From what i've seen in screenshots and using the vibrant shader pack, it looks phenomenal! However because my framerate is so bad when i'm using the vibrant shader pack, I have to use the basic pack. But when I use the basic pack, I get this infamous error in the chat:
[Shaders] Error : Invalid program gbuffers_terrain
I've seen this error many times with other shaders packs, but all the fixes i've found don't work.
I've got a bunch of error logs from a kindly user, I just didn't have the time to fix it yet, but with those logs I'm probably able to fix the light shaders and basic shaders for every graphic card and hopefully every OS!

Update your drivers to the very latest version
Try to run the Vibrant 1.03 Intel ones, they work better with Macs.

Hmm, try to update to the very latest AMD drivers for your card.

Compatibility should now be improved, I hope it works for everybody!

You want crazy shaders? Lets refract the world (Yes this is ingame)
Mine is overclocked to 3.2Ghz (from 2.8Ghz) didn't notice much different - about 5-8fps maybe. So I would say it's more GPU based.

But it's probably just caused by my halfdead GTX 560 I guess. (It seems to work fine on a GTX 580)
PS: Setting advanced opengl to fast reduces it a bit.
