How crazily cynical people are on the internet, you wouldn't even think it were possible for a human to have a positive attitude when you read most forums.

I say the following about braces:

When you have them, they're the worst thing to ever happen to you. When they're off, they're the best thing to ever happen to you.

Yep. In fact, even the videos on their website use, you guessed it, Quicktime. So even if you're just viewing their online store you have to use their software just to watch the videos. I'm pretty sure they used to use Flash for their videos, but I'm not completely certain of that. Apple users seem to gloat about how the Apple ecosystem just works so well. Sure, it works well if you limit yourself to only Apple products since they are pretty much only useful if you have multiple devices of theirs. Android devices on the other hand will work well with just about any device. I mean seriously, I have to install and run iTunes just to put a song onto my iPod. With Android you can just copy over the .mp3 file and play it without having to first add it to a music library and then sync the device.

I just don't see why Apple fans say that their products are user friendly and easier to use. No they're not! What makes them easier to use? Is it the lack of features, the new cable that requires a $30 adapter to use all of your old accessories, the maps which may put your house in a river, or the fact that one of their devices finally uses a widescreen display? I just don't see the advantages here.

I think it's like anything, once you're used to it most things become easy. A good example is Facebook, it used to be fairly unintuitive to use but when things were changed people complained because it took time to readjust to the new system. I think the same applies to the Apple 'Ecosystem', once you're set up (at a vast cost I might add) everything works fairly well together, but only with Apple. And you have to remember, though it's stereotypical to suggest it, people who have Macs and idolise Apple products are going to use/buy it regardless.

    'Tis a sad world.

Apple is just killing itself by making it's own software. Remember that thing called Facetime? Ya, pretty much nobody uses it. It's pointless to use since it can only be used with other Apple devices that have Facetime as well. Then they came out with Siri which is okay, but there are better options out there such as Google Voice. Let's not forget that once upon a time when you asked Siri what the best smartphone was it gave the name of some Windows or Android phone. Apple changed that after word got out so that no matter what test results said, Siri would say that the iPhone is the best smartphone. Now they have their own maps app which is terrible compared to Google Maps since much less time has been put into the creation of it and it is just plain riddled with bugs.

I might have some more respect for Apple if they didn't act like every device they released was the best flippin thing there is. Guess what, it's not. There are plenty of other devices out there from various other companies that do a much better job than the iPad, iPhone, etc. Maybe one day they'll actually retaliate against competition by including better hardware and software instead of competing with them in court over stupid patents.

This. They're basically attempting to make a user who uses their products a user who ONLY uses their products. It's a very controlling environment they're trying to duplicate, where everything you do is owned, endorsed, made or manufactured (at least in part) by them.

So when they kick out Google's obviously superior Maps on iOS6 and make their own just so it's their own maps users are using and not *gasp* the competitors, they look like idiots.

    GG Apple.

No. They will become a larger part of the world, but consoles/PC's/phones and tablets all have their own pros and cons that they provide. There is no 'one size fits all'.
