Any chance you'd reconsider shovels if they are undamaged? With the mobs dropping loot I have two double chests of iron shovels I will not likely ever use.
Sorry for such a late response. I've been caught up with Terraria modding (since this computer cannot handle MineCraft) and a number of other things. Originally (and it's probably still in the coding itself), I was going to add halves that needed to be combined with another half to make a full ingot (to which the shovels, shears, and flint and stone would of used). I changed my mind when I realized I wanted zero comparability issues with as many mods as possible. Before my main computer had a motherboard... er... (Sigh)... Malfunction, I was working on a REVAMP version of one of my other mods (known as Sigiancraft) which, sadly, will remain in the W.I.P. section for a long, long time. (Unless I get a new computer.) In Sigiancraft, I went ahead and added the halves (along with the rest of my stuff). Another one bites the dust, I suppose. This computer has zero modding ability for MineCraft. Terraria is one of the few things I can actually mess around with.
May i just ask - how did you get it to work on damaged items? nice mod though. :biggrin.gif:
Funny that you asked. I don't have the code right in front of me, but I think (with ModLoader) being able to smelt damaged items is automatically added. But for the life of me (when I was working on my other mod), I couldn't figure out how to get damaged items to be materials for a craft. I'm hoping to get a new computer some time soon so that I can get back to modding again. I know it won't be the close, close future, but I'm suspecting it'll be some time (months) from now.
If I can somehow manage to fix my other laptop, I can get back to work on this right away. For now, I quest for a screwdriver.
EDIT: All that I needed done was for the textures of the armors to be done by RainBatRi and fix a small bug with the fire trail and the bug with the Orinium Sword's casting, which I may remove altogether and make it "silent casting"*. For a suitable tester, I mean.
*Just happening. No projectiles that can be seen or anything. It's an invisible projectile. The effects work, but it won't be as cool.
EDIT 2: That's a negative, Ghostrider. My other laptop is a bust. I'll have to work it from scratch again- the only problem with that is this: This laptop can't handle Minecraft. It even lags during Terraria.
This has to be put on hold- my main laptop had a motherboard failure, so I lost everything. Maybe I can do something for 1.2 if I pick this back up. Sigh...
"So, this is Salioum's armor. The upgraded form, of course. As you can see, I fell at the beginning and at another part of the video. This was purposeful- to show that the effect is not continuous- I've tried that way. It was annoying as hell with all that ice. With a press of a button, I can create ice right under my feet. By holding that button, I can run and make a bridge of ice under me. As I showed with the dirt, it replaces ANY block under the player when the button is pressed. This was, in fact, intended. The armor, of course, allows you to breathe under water as well. This is also with the standard form of Salioum's armor."
The standard form isn't all that spectacular- it's just as strong as the upgraded version, but it lacks the superior abilities the upgraded one has.
No one has anything to say still? Nothing at all? It's times like this that makes me want to keep this creation to myself. (Though, if it comes to that, there are a selected handful that still get access.)
That actually wouldn't work. An example of a working smelting recipe, which is placed in your mod_<WhateverYouNamedIt>, would be:
ModLoader.AddSmelting(oreBehhium.blockID, new ItemStack(ingotBehhium));
This is a line straight out of a mod I am working on- oreBehhium is the item I place into the furnace, ingotBehhium is what I get as a result. Now, the line can also be:
ModLoader.AddSmelting(oreBehhium.blockID, new ItemStack(ingotBehhium, 5));
Which means you'd get five of the result, in this case five ingots of Behhium.
EDIT, one of an extension:
Maybe you want to use vanilla items. That's alright.
ModLoader.AddSmelting(Block.oreIron, new ItemStack(superduperitemofawesomeness));
For an item, it would be:
ModLoader.AddSmelting(Item.ingotIron, new ItemStack(thisisthebestitemever));
Setting mobs on fire with a weapon is not anything spectacular or new. How about this? (See video below.)
P.S.: For those who couldn't read the sign, it says "I have something cool to show you all with Behhium."
This is a preview of the Behhium armor in action-- without showing even a glimpse of the armor itself. Bahaha. That's because the texturer, RainBatRi, is mauling a few ideas over and I don't want to show anything that won't be in a final product. Did I mention the armor itself is fireproof? Nothing really new, but come on- it's got to be! There are also unseen things it can do. Can't show everything so soon! Salioum also has some effects going on, so don't fret about that! Orinium is still in the works- the ability, I mean.
It's also really sad how new modders don't get as much attention as they should.
So, I decided to take a screenshot of Behhium's sword in motion- I'm getting texturing help from RainBatRi, which is pretty cool. Every tool of Behhium sets mobs on fire. All tools except for the hoe (for obvious reasons of it overriding the primary use of the hoe... :Skeleton:) has the secondary of being able to set stuff on fire via right click. The bucket actually does have a purpose- well, Behhium and Salioum, at least. The purple bucket is still being mauled over.
UPDATE: I am merging my NeedIngots mod into this version of Sigiancraft- that means you will be able to smelt vanilla tools and armor back into their ingots (or diamond) forms. Of course, I will (for obvious reasons) not add Wooden Tools or Stone Tools to this. Armors don't give a single ingots (or diamond)- they all have a (what I consider) fair rate. (Helmets get two, Chests get four, Leggings get three, Boots get two.) There is also a bucket thrown in, and I am not sure if I'll keep it, make corresponding buckets of the other ores, or just make them an "addon".
Also, there are three ore sets now.
Let me go into a slight more depth of what that each tool set does, RIGHT NOW, and what I plan on.
The purple ore (from henceforth to be called "Orinium") does nothing special at the moment, due to me having issues creating the entity that comes into the world. My intentions are for it to be able to teleport the player, but I just can't get that problem fixed at the moment. The teleporting works fine- I just don't want to see that little white square at every cast.
The blue ore (from here on to be called "Salioum") currently creates ice blocks. Mind you, it does not create ice from nothing- you can only "summon" an ice block next to another block. When I work out the coding, this ore will be able to slow down mobs that they hit. Also when I work out the coding, it will only be able to freeze over water.
And finally out of what I have right now, the orange ore (to be called "Behhium" for now on) sets mobs on fire when they are hit. Also, this set as a secondary ability. They can act like a Flint and Steel via right click. As soon as I work out the coding, they will also be able to shoot fireballs, thus making Behhium the "desired" set to have.
For reason of keeping it not overpowered, these tools are slightly stronger than Iron right now, Behhium being the strongest one, Orinium being the weaker of the three.
If you actually took time to read the thread, you'd know :smile.gif:
He's asking how to get the Coal Ore- oreCoal- which you get coal from when you mine. There is (as of right now) no way to legitly get the ores from a Vanilla Minecraft. So, did you add a way to get the Coal Ore, which are the building pieces of your portal?

I'm still open to suggestions, people.

Yeah, I set it to private. I was hoping that this thread would fade away and be lost forever in the back section. Darn you. (lol)
But don't fret- look over to http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1029973-wip-110-sigiancraft-revamp/page__p__12826797__fromsearch__1#entry12826797 and check out the better version of this mod in the making. The REVAMP.

That's true.
Well. I feel like an ****.
But the enchantments are so random- vanilla ones, at least. There should be an alternative way.
