Ya, i'm having this problem with a fresh 12w08a world but it seems to only apear farther from spawn. I also can't convert super hostile spellbound caves to 12w07 or 8 without it saying "saving chunks" every time I place a block or go near any redstone, lava or, water. I reverte to a fresh 1.1 then installed the snapshot. i mod minecraft all the time but my Super Hostile world has always been mod free as it is in 12w06a. I also reverted to 1.1, explored the map through everything I have cleared and then tryed to convert it to 12w08a but it still has realy bad lighting errors and a saving chunks error that makes it unplayable with the snapshot. I have a lot of backups though :smile.gif: Can't wait for the bug fixes!
Netherrack is a good start but that could (I realy have no idea) still burn out like torches. I just realy hope ther's going to be a permanent light scource also implemented when torched are made temporarily lit.

Why do you want to be one?: I duno, just to help people out without waisting time I guess
If you caught your best friend griefing, what would you do?: I would repair the damage and temp ban or kick him/her unless it was a friend of his who he was greifing (if it was all in good fun) but greifing is bad either way
Ya, I thought the farlands were just fetting FARTHER away in 1.8. It seems to be impossible to remove them as they are basicley an area too far from the start to acctualy generate without making minecraft UBERHAXORZLAGGY! Just a thought though I could be completley wrong :biggrin.gif:
Yep. parying isn't done yet though. Notch wants to add animations for mobs striking so that parying will have a dynamic use instead of just a cool little animation. That may be coming in the full 1.8 I don't know though.
I must say, this is the BEST update ever. Bugs included! I'm a hardcore minecrafter (in other words I'm 18 and have quite a bit of free time and I love new ideas for games) and I've been playing the pre-release for about 2 hours and I must say, bugs and all, this is amazing. Special thanks to Notch! Best game ever just got better (for me the bugs seem to have worked their way out all by themselves) The "saving chunks" errors with furnaces only happend the first time I used them and I can’t even remember the other bug that I ran into. I'm just soooo happy that Notch was able to do a pre-release on this though! I've been patiently waiting for SO long (as we all have I know) Anyway, I wish you all luck!
I think there may be a new launcher when 1.8 comes out but if not you should try to redownload the launcher and see. Thanks all I can think of that may help.
Look at it this way. The texturepacks should be coming out realy soon so after 1.8 and there should be some that are complete realy soon after the update. The update is going to be FRIKIN AMAZING so chill. It's coming soon just chill.

I only do it because I usualy have the minecraft volume so loud tha my mic pics it up.
