Considering there is no pony/horse tail, I've defaulted to using the fox tail myself, (It works for the most part, just a bit "Bulky" for a pony tail if you ask me) and tinting the tip to roughly the same color as my eyes.
Wait... Texture buttons and Blending Tints? Now I'm intrigued. I shall have to keep a closer eye on this, perhaps what I would be looking for may be closer than I think. Either that, or I'm seeing things where said things don't exist.
Oct 2, 2014Siddey10 posted a message on [1.8.0] Tails - A bunch of different tails, ears, wings and muzzles to enhance your characterI was wondering if there will be any love for the bronies that happen to come across this mod in the form of a pony/horse tail.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Also, I wouldn't mind the ability to customize the tail colors a bit more, perhaps using the unused areas of the skin.png? As much as i love the three tint area options, I'd like to have the ability to customize the pixels in the tail for a more 'uh' Colorful tail.

-snip- Make them hard to Kill and scary as can be but if they die we get something cool and unique. Maybe the boss can drops something to stabilize limbo by "freeing" from the evil boss mob? i would like to be able to buld in limbo so making it so we have to go through a billion doors to finally find limbo and kill a few monoliths to get a secret way to a boss and then FINALLY kill the boss and activating so mechanic or dropping something that allows you to build in limbo.
yes i know that was allot but I wanted to get the idea out befor i forgot it lol.
Building in Limbo? Last I checked Limbo is "what happens when you fall out of "what is" and into "What shouldn't be"". Things decay in Limbo because they "Shouldn't be" there. I can understand why someone would want to build there (lack of hostile mobs for one (DAM YOU CREEPERS!!!)) but for the sake of lore wise... I'm not saying that this is a bad idea. Personally, I'd like it if there were various types of blocks that didn't decay in limbo so that we have some form of building material for a limbo structure (anyone feel like mixing some FoR and some some stone bricks and seeing if that works? No? Ok, so... reality bricks bad idea?)
Jun 13, 2014You see, this is why I like these maps, because we all work together, even though they are separate single-player worlds. Someone has an issue, someone most likely will have a primary answer, then everyone else fills in the small blanks that the main answer misses.Posted in: Maps
Been thinking about starting this map, but I'm not sure about whether to stream or record it, or just to play it quietly in the background...

Welp, a creeper managed to spawn in a gap in my lighting system and blew up four of my precious, precious, dirt blocks.
MegaTrain, thanks for showing me how to make a mob spawner that lets me actually farm stuff without worrying about getting blown up. I actually managed to get 3 iron bars; now I just need to decide what I want to use them for...
Question, though...how are you supposed to make an enchanting table? Near as I can tell there's no way to make obsidian.
Actually, there are three ways to get obsidian, but one method requires you to have already acquired some.
1) The Nether Portal Method
This one is a well know method. Make a second portal a good distance away from your first one. Go through it. In the nether, mine the exit portal, then walk back to your first portal. Go back to the Overworld. Walk to second portal, go through it. It will generate a new portal that you can mine. Of course, you need to gather Obsidian to make a second portal so really, this idea isn't as good at the other 2 listed below.
2) The End Platform Method
This one is simple. Every time you enter the end, it regenerates the platform you spawn on. Just mine it, leave, and re-enter the end. Easy obsidian. Of course, if you want enchanted gear before entering the end well, that's where you will need method three. Also, the spikes in the end? 99.9% obsidian 0.01% bedrock, so mine those to your hearts content.
3) The Redstone Method
Now this is an old and rather unusual method to get Obsidian. When lava flows ON TOP OF (in other words when it falls onto it) redstone dust WHILE is has flowing water next to it, on the same layer it produces obsidian. How? No-one know for sure, some say it is some fancy quirk in game mechanics that causes the redstone to "Super-heat" into a brief lava source block, which instantly freezes into obsidian due to the water. Other say magic. Personally I prefer magic. It seems cooler. Wait, no redstone? Well get trading then.Quick image reference for those who are confused.
This is what it should look like before you add the lava.
Add the lava at the end, give it some time...
And there you go, 4 pieces of obsidian to mine. (Remember to remove the lava first. Only you can prevent death by swimming in lava)

Also what place do you go to if you place a door on that jumbled mess of stacked rifts (A)?
Quote from Pizarro
As for your next question, I've never given it much thought as I never allowed more than 1 rift to exist past point B. My guess is that point A would probably take you back to the latest rift you opened, provided there's other rifts which you left open.
You guess would be quite right good sir. I have never use that method of travel though, preferring to opt for the nexus travel method.

there is a mod, and i cant remember which one, that lets you craft a star with 4 soul sand, 3 wither skulls, a sword, and a bow. The first recipe i had was much the same. its just an alterative. I mean really if someone wants to play legit they will go for the wither and kill it. if they just want it they will use NEI, this way they can feel a little better about a cheaper recipe. Killing the wither once or twice is cool, but with all the mods needing stars it would be crazy to always have to kill one to make things. Its all in the mind of the player. This recipe can be ignored.
The mod you are discussing in regards to the skulls, soul sand and sword+bow, is extra utilities, and it is a "peaceful" only recipe, meaning that it is only craft-able on peaceful. If yours works on any difficulty, (haven't tried, not quite THAT far along on my livestream. ) that is where the difference will lie and where its true usefulness will show.
As for the DNS tools, how useful are they meant to be for late game things? I only ask because the pickax is capable of mining up Cobalt and Ardite from Tinkers Construct, and those are both very tough ores which require a pick to be stronger than diamond. Not that I'm complaining ;).

Oh, so that's why some people can see, It's because of Optifine isn't it?
I normaly play with just a few core mods such as TMI for recepies, but I've heard lots of others use it.
Could the people who state their oppinion on the darkness of Limbo also include if they use Optifine please?
Though I find it funny/cool that i can see a GIANT RED EYE in the sky, but not five blocks in front of me.
PS: Would it be possible/feasible to make a map of the rift system?
In a pocket it would show the pocket you are in and those linked directly to it, but it only shows the ones you already explored, but would probably not work deeper than 5 levels/pockets down, as you said they're unstable (also if the door leads to the overworld it would show a map of the chunk the door resides in).
In the overworld the map would just display as far as you can see, but show nearby doors.
In the Limbo the map would instead just display a red eye looking at you.
It could probably be only found rarely deep down in the dimensional dungeons.
I was thinking of something like this, but color coded for depth:
Really sorry I have no idea how to make pics smaller
Also would it be possible for a map to detect if there is a door on the other side of the rift?
Sorry, I know you're all really busy but I just wanted to share some ideas just in case you like them.
If it would be too much work or just don't like them feel free to ignore me...
PPS: About the diferent gravity in dimensions, I didn't know it was so hard, I saw some guy make a block that changed the gravity depending on the side you approached it from (and someone made a Super mario galaxy map with it) and it looked simple, my bad.
PPPS: I only play on single player , so I'll just dump myself into the Limbo for you guys ok?
I like the map Idea, and can see it being very useful, but as a non-modder I can't exactly see how it would be done. I know that mods do have dynamic maps (Twilight forest cave/ores magic map) but these dungeons are very complex places that are very different to natural generation. I'd stick to making the maps manually on paint though, mostly because (as far as I'm aware) these dungeons aren't too much of a spiderweb.
Eh... Gravity changing in dimensions... not sure if I like that, but then I've been to the moon on Galacticraft and they had low gravity...
If it was worked into dungeons properly, it could create the opportunity for some nasty traps (Insert evil Vechs laugh here) but I just don't know... The current Dungeons are scary enough with regular gravity.

Place a torch every block, without exception, once I learned that you can shift to place instead of replace...
Wasn't I the one to teach you on that?
Sep 3, 2013Name tags are items that when used on a mob will name the mob. Sadly the only way to acquire said name tags is through a dungeon chest. A name tag would be useful for "tagging" villagers.Posted in: Maps
To give them a custom name, you rename the tag in an anvil, then right click the mob you want to rename. One use only item I'm afraid.
Sep 3, 2013Infinite trade would be handy, but then you have less reason to make an early village. It would also mean a crazy amount of emeralds, and less point in building a "villager purifier" to supplement villager breeding.Posted in: Maps
Jul 30, 2013I know this isn't an immediate update, but for those who are playing on 1.6, might i suggest a few extra challenges?Posted in: Maps
- Craft 16 of each Carpet, while keeping 16 of each wool stored
- Craft a lead
- Craft at least 8 of each Hardened Clay colour (Including the undyed colour)
- Craft 16 Hay bales

can you destroy monoliths and how do they attack(im pretty sure its when they see you)
If running Dimensional Doors by itself, there is no way to destroy them. If you use other mods, then there are a few ways to do so. (I believe that one cake eating dragon had a nice idea to eat the monoliths a fair few pages ago. You might want to go look at that. )
The monoliths don't attack directly per-say, they teleport you and yes, its based off line-of-sight so you can make a glass tunnel and be safe (they can't see through any blocks). They are pretty much a deterrent to prevent you from digging through the walls. Think of them as a hidden trap. In all honesty, unless they are revealed by a tnt trap, you should be relatively safe from monoliths teleporting you to limbo. Those are the only times I've been teleported by one.

Oh...and I can confirm the dead man's switch - I look forward to see which is quicker...my bucket of water or the TNT. The TNT usually gets me due to server loading and generating. I don't recall seeing any redstone lamps in it.
In my case, the bucket of water doesn't do much, because its the bigdig technic pack. Going through a dimensional dungeon has me waiting every time i go through a door, and it normally blows up before i can even do a thing.
Jul 12, 2013Posted in: Minecraft ModsQuote from SenseiKiwi
First, in which dungeon is it that there is a broken dead man's switch? I haven't encountered that. Granted, these things have undergone changes over time.
There occasionally is a hallway with 4-5 chests on either wall, for a total count of 8-10. When entering, the player lands on a pressure plate that is designed to be a dead mans switch, however, I learned that when going through the door, activating the plate on the other side has a 1 tick delay. Meaning the tnt is on a powered line for 1 tick, before the redstone from the pressure plate deactivates it. I discussed this with Steven A while back, and put forward a solution for this dead mans switch, but I don't think it was ever implemented, as i was still killed by one of these hallways. (using the bigdig technic pack, so maybe 1-2 versions behind?) I'd quote the original posts, but my mouse is currently on the fritz at the moment, and may need replacing. I don't know what page it would be on either I'm afraid, but if you look back I'm sure you can probably find it.
*edit* Got my mouse working part-way through my search, and i found my solution. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1650007-152universal-dimensional-doors-v140-eyes-in-the-darkupdated/page__st__1000#entry21914681
As for the idea of retro-generation breaking things, Thaumcraft has it, and based on what i know, it doesn't seem destructive. As the smokey black clouds apparently need air to spawn, it could be as simple for a check for suitable location, then generate if area=suitable. It is a bit more memory consuming then just generating at worldgen, but it is toggle-able in the options. I only suggested this in the first place, because over all the new survival maps, i still prefer one that was created before maps were even added to minecraft.

When using this command in a command block:
/effect @p[r=7] 1 1000000 2
it's giving me Speed 3 instead of speed 2. I think this may be a bug in the pre-release.
Edit: Also, when I replace two with any other number, the effect is always one higher except with 4 and up, in which case it just says Speed.
2nd Edit: Now it's doing it for what seems like all effects.
That's the way command blocks are coded. Level 1 potion effects are coded in as 0, Lvl 2 = 1 ect.
As for Lvl 5 potion effects. It has always only displayed the effect name, and never the level.

What the hell? "Ghost entities under the command of Lord Herobrine."
Is he real now?
Herobrine has never been real.
I never set fire to that forest... and theres no lava near it either...
Looks like he's real after all. XD
