I get your idea. My problem is that vanilla servers are much easier to handle than Bukkit servers. Vanilla servers only need to be updated with each Minecraft update, while Bukkit servers need the newest [often] Bukkit download to work. :wink.gif:
Bukkit could be a choice. There could probably be other companies who want to do there own thing with it and I'd think they would be able to, and if you just wanted a vanilla server just dont upload any plugins. I find modding to be easy but for some people it is difficult. Also it would make it easier to upload mods to a server, since that is super hard.
The poll isn't specific enough. I don't think Bukkit should work with anybody, as some people enjoy vanilla servers more than modded servers. Installing mods is relatively easy as of now, I don't see why it needs to be any easier.
If installing mods is too hard, install a mod manager.
Bison would be passive, like cows, but either charge when you attack them, or run away, causing a stampede of any other bison in the vicinity.
Real bison will charge you if you get too close to them, too.
I think they shouldn't drop bison steak, because pigs, chickens, and cows already drop meat. Bison fur/skin would be cool to make armor, with strength between leather and iron.
I was on a server and randomly drowned myself, then climbed to the top of a tall 1x1 tower and jumped off and died. Then the admin says "Those are some nice hacks..." then bans me.

EDIT:
This is my opinion, though.
