Kind of a "defend the point" game. One team is attacking a point deep in the other team's territory, there are classes with different abilities you can choose from, really big map to jump around in. It's been a lot of fun so far! Someone linked me this video to help illustrate gameplay.
I made my first DevCore video! It's actually a tutorial for Obsidian Defenders, so if you're new to the gameplay, check it out! Or don't. I'm just excited to start making videos for the server.
Minecraft Username:simpledee age:15 How did you find the server: skype Any additional info: i like hitting on girls
Added. As for your additional info, please keep in mind that Devcore is a server for all players, and hitting on girls in game chat can be considered player harassment. Other than that, enjoy your time in Devcore!
1. First off, thanks for taking interest in our server! What is your name? [In-game name] Shieya
2. Why are you interested in joining our server? Well, the name of the thread initially caught my eye, because I am sort of a weather nerd and I love clouds. Um...it honestly just sounds really nice to play in a close-knit community again. I was moderator of another server a few, and the staff and regular players became really close friends. I liked logging on just to chat with people, and a lot of collaboration and unity was present, even though it was a PVP server. I made good friends and had a good time. but the server shut down unexpectedly. It was actually kind of a tough blow and I stopped playing Minecraft for a while. I'm looking for a server where I can get to know a group of people and enjoy the companionship. Vanilla is also my favorite way to play; I love the creative minigames that people create, but vanilla has always been the best.
3. Please tell us a little about you, and what you do in Minecraft. My favorite thing to do in Minecraft is grab some supplies and just run out into the wilderness. I've never stopped being amazed at the landscape generated. I like building functional homes and decorating them really nicely, then having people visit. I'm a fan of PVP, but I'm not that good at it. In my real life, I'm a college student and cook whose hobbies are drawing, browsing the Internet, cooking, sewing, anime, and spending entirely too much time reading about weather phenomena.
4. Can you show some pictures or video of what you have done in Minecraft? I'm ashamed at how few pictures I have - I thought I had a lot more! Anyway, here's a sample. http://imgur.com/a/B9xlr
5. Do you record your gameplay and post it? (Let's Play?) If so, please link to where we can see it. Recording is not required, but encouraged on the server. I don't record my gameplay, because my computer is not able to handle the extra work. (Actually, it can barely handle Minecraft... -.-)
6. Do you have a steam account, skype, or some other way we can contact you? If so, do you own a mic and can voice chat? Yes, my Skype is megan.dillenbeck. I don't own a mic, but I can voice-chat (I just use PTT to avoid adding background noise)
7. It is worth noting that we are only interested in long-term applicants. This is a stable server and we appreciate active, stable players. Will you be able to do this? I think so. I don't have several hours a day to devote to playing, because school and work takes up most of my free time. But I have been playing Minecraft since Alpha and have never been able to quit. I love it so much. So even if I can't log in for very long, I can play a few times a week (longer on weekends).
And once again, I've let myself get in too deep. I'd like to think the friendships I made here were real, despite the distance. But without a place for everyone to meet, I don't know how well contact will hold up. To all the people I hold dear, thank you for the good times. If we don't play together again, I want you to know I really do consider you a friend, despite any age, gender, or location differences we have. You guys brought me happiness, something I have trouble finding IRL. I'll get over this, but it may take some time. For any of my friends who have not added me on Skype, you can contact me at megan.dillenbeck and maybe we'll play together again someday. It will take some time to get over, but life will go on.
Just out of curiosity... When are you updating? Bukkit has made a "Beta" build and You said you would update when a Development build was made..

On the Bukkit forums, it describes the beta build as being in between the Dev build and the recommended build. I believe we're waiting on the recommended build, as it will be the most stable and cause the least problems. we haven't forgotten about updating, we just want to make sure that when we do update, it goes as smooth as possible.

That's good, the teleport to survival world faced you away from the portal, it was silly. xD
