Seems like a good idea. The main problem that I see with this is some people like to play on peaceful while building, and some of the elements restricted to those who do this would hinder their building abilities.
Minecraft is my new addiction. Unfortunately, all the kids in my school who "play" the game play the pirated version. That's why I'm buying all my friends a Minecraft gift code with my first few paychecks :smile.gif:
As stated before, you get this error when trying to log into a server that hasn't updated to the same client version that you have (i.e You're using 1.7_01, server is running on 1.6.6). All you can do is wait until the server owner updates to the latest version, or downgrade to whatever patch the server is on.
Some sort of trap/defense that opens up hidden dispensers full of arrows place on the sides of the structure.
For that I'd assume you'd need sticky pistons that, when activated, pull back a block to reveal the turret. Sounds awesome however you do it, though.
As for what I'd build with pistons...Well, I play on SMP most of the time, so I'll probably build something helpful for the newbies, and look at the awesome new creations on the server xD
You're not supposed to extract the folder they come in. The texturepack.zip (or whatever the file is called) goes in the .minecraft/texturepacks folder.
I don't know if this works for the internet browser version. Stand-alone client is better, anyways xD

It's no need to have them all in all-ginger villages (yes...they do exist). I know plenty of redheads who have souls, and *gasp* are nice people![/rant]
Anyways, in relation to the calculator thing: Current calculators that kids use for school don't have the processing power to play Minecraft. Like iteration2 said, he's just saying that to get a reaction out of you. Shrug it off and don't let him see that it bothers you. Trust me, that will **** him off more than anything :biggrin.gif:
Also, if is ever a calculator that can play Minecraft, I'll be first in line. :smile.gif:
Explain to your Mom that while there ARE creeps on the internet, not everyone is out to get some kids. Remind her that the Minecraft community has many different people, just like real life. Like GMPax said before, it's not like some creep can grab you through the internet.
Hope it goes well with her. It's just a game, after all, and some parents don't get that (mine sure don't xD)

Uhm, try backing up your worlds, and deleting your bin folder as it might be some sort of mod conflict. Tell us if it solves anything! :smile.gif:
