So... What if a griefer decided to place 50 locked chests around your house blocking your exits. What if the griefer went all out and got 3 stacks of lchests and spammed them around key locations like... say... surrounding your locked chest?
Maybe you logged out around your bed like you always do only to find out that the griefer surrounded your bed with lchests. You are... well... you're looking for the lube to make it easier, k?
Lotsa problems with this suggestion though the intention is good.
Even with them not growing at all it would be over-powered. With a bit of searching for pumpkins your entire base is completely safe from any hostile mobs.
You can use fences to keep out spiders. Just do this:
The sticks are fences. You see, Spiders won't drop down on fences. If they climb up the first fence, they can't climb over. Plus, why would you need to keep spiders away from your crops? Spiders can't trample.

Searching is honestly useless most of the time, because many people will groan about having revived an old thread and such. If any such threads were worth a damn, they'd be up at the top, not waiting to be brought back to life. I wouldn't know about having multiple threads like this because I don't really frequent this area of the board, but I find that very believable. But every thread like this probably has it's own little ideas, and many would like to see these ideas implemented. I really wouldn't like to see these ideas brought to life until more challenging mobs and bosses are added.

It's a suggestion for a mode. Modes aren't exactly related to Minecraft.
But what would the treasure even be useful for? It'd essentially be like every other maze in existence, and wouldn't actually add anything to Minecraft.
Lances are relying on the possibility that Notch will add ridable mounts, and my ideas being underdeveloped is because the main idea is very general, just breaking away from the normal tiered swords but not having weapons that are just a reskin of a sword. As for damage, ideally it would be different depending on how rare/how difficult it was to get the item, a la Terraria, which I think I've mentioned too much in this thread =P

By that logic every time anyone uses the word 'craft' in a game, Mojang can sue them? Hell, why doesn't EA sue movie that has the word 'Art' on the cover, or have Valve file a lawsuit against all the plumbers in the US?
Well, glad the site's back up anyway. My question is, Did lulzsec play a part in this? I read that lulzsec was screwing around with some kind of minecraft-related thing. I am aware that it wasn't just the minecraft areas of Curse that were effected, but I haven't been able to find anything else about Minecraft that recently had downtime.
