GodCraft, my opinion, a wonderfully awesome server.

Contributions, sure it has a mandatory 10$ fee, but I think it is completely worth it. I understand that there are plenty of people out their who would more than gladly give 10$ to be a part of GodCraft, but they don't have the money. However, I think that this step here is what keeps near every griefer away from GodCraft.

Members, near every single member of GodCraft is a pleasant individual to hold a conversation with. The mods are a great help and spend lots of time working things out when problems arise. Kane himself isn't a bad fellow either, just a bit over-worked doing his best to make GodCraft number one in my book.

Problems, on GodCraft? Very rarely. Typically the problems of GodCraft are due to its large amounts of players and the huge amount of terrain that has been explored. There is always a rotten apple some where that is looking to ruin someones fun.

All-in-all, should you be able to afford the 10$, it's worth it. I've been part of GodCraft for quite a long while now and I have tried other servers. All of which do not compare to how well GodCraft is done.

I love the server, whenever a problem arises, it's solved quickly. Whenever there is a concern with a player, they are helped quickly. Kane has near entirely just improved the server as time passes. I really don't understand why you guys are complaining about a one time fee of 10 dollars to join the server, it's only 10 dollars. >.> You pay more than that a month to play your WoW or other pay-to-play games. I know we all don't have disposable income, but really? 10 dollars is not a hard amount of money to come up with. Mow someones lawn typically nets you around 20 dollars at least.

Don't really see what you guys are getting all uppity about. So far GodCraft has been one of the best servers I played on. A lot of the community members are friendly and a pleasure to talk to. Sure Kane has some down falls that I'm not going to go into, but he's human. I don't know about the 400 dollar price tag, but it's his choice. Show me one server... one... that is better than GodCraft and has the same size community and the same low crime rate and the speed at which problems get resolved, then I'll consider your point of view. I'd have to say the most impressive thing about godcraft his Kanes willingness to upgrade the server for the better and desire to continue to work on the server.

All I wish is the ability to remove admin blocks.

From what I read and it sounded like... llamacraft no longer has /lighter because the furnaces were fixed.

I have trouble getting hey0's working with McAdmin.

So something... to some how get rid of adminium without backups or loading up a map editor.

Do you know when you may try addressing the memory issue? I posted the problem on page 4.

I'm having a similar problem to Rancorzealot. If I set the memory assigned any higher than 1024 and try to start the server it continuously flash a command prompt like it was trying to start, but it just goes on endlessly. Thankfully I can press the close button.

I'm running windows 7 64-bit with 9 gig of ram, tb harddrive and an i7 clocked at 2.67 just in case that helps you.

    -edit-

I just did some brief testing. I was able to set the memory to 1582 and it would start up just fine. As soon as I went to 1583 it would no longer start the server. The command prompt would continue to flash as before at 1583.

posted a message on Griefing is not part of SMP
First, I'd like to say I finally registered to the forums, specifically for this topic. XD

I've got mixed feelings on the subject, however I don't enjoying griefing or destroying someones work. Mostly because how my life has gone, but that's something you wouldn't be interested in. Hard work deserves respect.

@Strokend's comment about the war. I think it's an awesome idea. When awesome weaponry comes into play, I'd love to see war in MC. A server with 100's of people. Totally awesome. I'll be moving to a much better internet friendly area later this year most likely, so I'll probably see what I can do about this. =D I've always wanted to have my own servers.

@TNT this is the cheapest and lamest of things people can do. I hate when people hack to get stuff and just ruin it for everyone. I spent too many hours building a huge castle on creative mode and someone hacked the server and my castle was lost. If I built the same thing in SMP and someone completely destroyed it... I would seek blood. lol

I can understand sneaking around and getting past defenses and all that fun stuff to steal diamond or iron, but don't steal ALL of it. Sneaking around = fun... ruining someones day by stealing all their stuff they worked for, not cool in my book.

I think everyone should respect someone elses work. If someone asks that no one destroy their work. Don't.

Annnd this brings me to the number one thing you see almost all the time... Spawn/Join jails. I agree with these. Typically griefers don't bother and move on. However the twisted ones hell bent on ruining work... they'll play nice until they find their ultimate target.

Lastly... Back up often IMO. 15 or 30 or 60 minute intervals And/Or when a player joins/leaves.

@Hacks. In creative mode, it was pleasant, especially cause it was more or less screwing around. In SMP... a quicker mode of travel would be nice, but I don't agree with hacks in something where you are supposed to survive.

    All just my opinion.
