Guys, what if it would only work if you made a bed incorporating glowstone into it? That way the Nether also has meaning, the pacing would be sufficient, and beds would still work as normal.
I personally love the Nether just as it is due to its highly unique atmosphere. Though, I think for the best welcoming, Notch should add dungeons or an exclusive ore or two to make the community at large happy. As it stands, I only go to the Nether to admire my creations there or go suicide streaking through it.
I liked the old forums better overall, but these forums have my favorite feature ever: fast reply. But you're way over-reacting, OP. It's not the game's fault the forums look weird now. Just learn to deal or find something more productive to do with your time.

You can't really speak for the entire religion. The poster quoted here takes the Bible to be fact. The Bible contradicts itself all over the place, and some things just don't make sense. Did you know the Bible forbids keeping vegetable gardens, wearing clothing made from more than one material, and the consumption of most seafood? (true story: http://www.godhatesshrimp.com/)

anywho, if redstone wasn't in the game i would have uninstalled a long time ago. redstone and minecart stations are the only thing that make this game interesting to me now

I just personally think that in my opinion that redstone is just a copy paste of electricity. It is from my perspective that I think Notch shouldn't be so hella lazy and in my opinion he should have thought outside the box. Like what if a wire could hold 4 states instead of 2, such as the off, and the low power, mid power, and such as the high power you could have 4x the amount of data in the same space. So in closing I think it is my opinion that notch just copy pasted electricity.

It is essentially the basis for all computers; hell, it's the basis for pretty much any form of technology. Binary can only have two states, but by giving us the base form of technology, Notch has actually opened the door for incredibly elaborate technologies inside of a videogame. Don't knock it just because you don't know how to use it.
Also, you have a signature for a reason. Why do you need to quote song lyrics in your posts as well?
