No. all you have to do to get rid of the files is force update. To do that, open minecraft type in your password, click options, force update, then login.
The Aether is updated to 1.2.5?????? Anyway, make sure you have all the required things like; ModLoader, Minecraft Forge, DimensionAPI. I'm just guessing on what it requires.
EDIT: And no you don't want the old outdated files, those won't work unless you use an old minecraft.jar.
Hello. I am making a mod that adds multiple of the same block, just different colors. My problem is that they are taking up too many ID's. I want to have that fixed to keep it compatible with most mods. So I need to know how to use Metadata and damage values to fix it. Thanks
I honestly hate Magic Launcher. Whenever I use it with a mod that adds block and stuff, it either crashes or duplicates EVERYTHING. And I just find it much more complicated. And manually changing the .jar most certainly is NOT stone age. Modifying the .jar manually is actually quite simple, and it's how I install every mod I get.
I would LOVE to help with this mod, but I just don't think I'm a good enough coder(Coding is what I would be best at). And I'm not that good of a texturer. *sigh*
Ok. Well, if you open it from eclipse, you have to put the png's into the eclipse/Client/bin folder, then it should work, if not, send me the error report.
