I don't know if I'm even going to change my username. Pretty much everywhere I'm known as Shadic, MasterShadic2 or any variant. Nobody even understands where the name comes from though, and it's a pain to explain each time (hint: it has nothing to do with Sonic games), so maybe I should change it to TheTruthofYourDespair, since I seem to have a Fullmetal Alchemist theme going currently.
Anyone else FMA and FMAB fans?

I'm a little confused here. Why specifically put Minecraft's story mode on Steam, but not the original game? Or is the original game coming? What's going on and why are they taking this route? I tried asking people on the Steam discussion boards about why such an odd decision would be made, but the most response I got was "bcuz PC mustard race f4git". Is there any reason to not also announce bringing the main game to Steam? Is there a technical limitation that prohibits it?
I'm probably more confused about this than I should be, but it seems weird to release part of your franchise on one interweb platform and another part on a different one. This isn't like the early 2000's, where every franchise sequel was on the PS2 because it was so successful, it's just weird to see it happen like this nowadays

Odd occurrence, not sure how long it's been happening, but I think since 1.8 is a good guess:
Strange, dancing white pixels at a certain distance. I think it might be me seeing through the space inbetween blocks and into the skybox, but it annoys me a lot. Is there any fix for this? Should I install Optifine?

This doesn't make any sense. It's like saying "Man, what do you guys think Fallout 5 is gonna be like?". It's the exact mentality that leads to buying then never bothering. I know it's an update, but this is what pushes companies to rush games and in this case updates.

A someone of the somehow-still-alive Sonic fanbase, no. It is most definitely not dead.

Can't you just...I don't know...turn them off?

Exactly. But he said it was a bug. In other words, something they're going to change and fix.
As in now boats look different with different wood probably

And what I'm saying is you don't make the rules, and that Mojang can do whatever the hell they want. Again - maybe they aren't teasing it because it's not done? I mean, only recently have they started asking for input on what to actually put in the changes to the combat. Doesn't that speak for how finished this update is and how much they're able to show right now? I mean, here's what I currently have done for a game I started today:
This is all I have. Should I now release this absolute nothing of a game to the public for 30$ on Steam early access? Should I do minutely updates of each pixel I draw or each character I type into the code?

Get off your high horse. Why don't you reveal things about a game that you make, okay? They tell us plenty of stuff when the updates are coming out or have snapshots, or are at the point in development where everything isn't a broken piece of crap that will take months to finish? I mean, it's not like they're releasing it anytime soon. Ever consider the idea that it's not quite done, or even in a showable condition? Oh but no, they should just release everything. Rush the hell out of it, remember that amazing Sonic game that was rushed in 2006? Or how about the amazing 4 development days of Ride to Hell: Retribution? That game is great, right? I mean, obviously the consumer controls whether something can have enough polish or functionality to be released, right?

I don't think we even need much new stuff at this point, just polish on what we've got. And by that, I mean making skins animated, having more joints and moving parts on the ingame models, fully fixed lighting (how is this still a problem?), support for any and all kinds of modifications, balancing enemy AI, the hunger system, block rarity and the ability to get things so that it requires effort but is actually worth the time. Stability and the game's odd manner of only processing changes in blocks half the time are still major problems. It's like a car that barely runs and we seem to think that duct taping carrots and new kinds of doors are going to help when the transmission is the problem. Most of the things I listed were aesthetic or something easy in the code, but the overall game is kinda broken, in a way. I think we need a solid engine before we build the car.

I'm gonna say that this isn't the case. I'm the only person in my group who's updated to the new skin system, but no matter what skins we're using, the host specifically shows up as the default.

...Aaaaanyway, I think that something like this, sort of like spider jockey generation, could potentially work well, but I don't think there's enough different mobs, nor enough different body types for said mobs for the variety not to wear thin quickly. Plus, for mobs that use weapons or fly, it wouldn't exactly make a lot of sense to have what is supposedly a mindless beast do said actions.
Partial support, if we get more regular mobs.
