posted a message on More Dye Combinations

I think it would be cool if there were more dye color combinations. I love building large statues of stuff, so it would be cool if it was possible to replicate every color that is in the game.

Similar to how you can die tunics in a cauldron but for wool and glass.

posted a message on Cauldron Upgrade (Potions)

    Cauldrons are a little anticlimactic.

What if you could empty multiple potion bottles into a cauldron, and then when you use a bottle on it, you get a potion with mixed effects (with shorter effect duration).

Example: Put in Swiftness (3:00min) Strength (3:00min) and Fire Resistance (3:00min) get 3 bottles of Swiftness (1:00min) Strength (1:00min) and Fire Resistance (1:00min)

If you were to put that resulting potion back in the cauldron with other combos your effect duration would shorten to 20sec.

posted a message on Copper Hopper Idea

What if there was a copper hopper that functioned as its own item sorter?

Regular hoppers passing items in a line with a copper hopper underneath. The copper hopper takes one input item to determine what it will grab from above it, anything else and it leaves it alone. For unstackable items like tools and such, durability doesn't matter. Maybe you can choose between enchanted or not too, regardless of the enchantment?

posted a message on Re-Enchanting and Upgrading Mob Grinder

With that many different enchantments and with the levels you want it is going to get too expensive. You either need sacrifice some enchantments to level other things higher, or accept lower levels on many enchantments.

UNLESS you dont mind using Commands to cheat a little. You can use commands to put any valid enchantment at any valid level on a tool.

As for mob grinders, I've heard its 22 blocks, 23 kills I believe. I use a 22 block fall for my mob spawner farms, with a Looting/Sweeping Edge sword. Good drops, kills all mobs in one swipe. If you don't want/need the drops, and are just in it for XP you can use entity cramming to kill the mobs and you get the xp without having to attack at all, and the drop height doesn't matter. (Great for a nether based zombie piglin XP farm)

posted a message on Necessary Hostile Water Mob

With the exception of Guardians, who you really don't see all that often, there really isnt than much for hostile water mobs. Drowned are 'meh' and Trident Drowned are OP.

I think the oceans absolutely need... SHARKS.

Similar build to dolphins. Maybe a little slower. Attracted to injured players (within 128 blocks?). A dislike for boats. Stay away from dolphins.

I love my Piglin nether farm. Havent tried a Enderman farm yet though. I just added a item sorter, and built an enchanting table by my farm so its almost endless enchanting without having to go anywhere.

posted a message on Cow crusher farm stopped working

Im playing Java 1.18 and had built a cow crusher farm. The 1x1x2 farm where they float in some water held in place by a fence post above them. Ive used this farm for a long time, and have used it for several weeks in 1.18, but all of a sudden the cows wont breed anymore... any suggestions as to why it randomly stopped working???

posted a message on Necessary Furnace Update

We all know you can use hoppers to fill furnaces with resources and fuel, and take the smelted/cooked resource out the bottom.

BUT, we still can't take buckets out of the bottom of the furnace!

Furnace update: Hoppers below the furnace remove both the smelted/cooked resource from the furnace AND empty buckets.

posted a message on Spawner Farm

That is one way to do it! In the future though if your AFK/waiting room is not within site of the bubble column, one thing I do with my spawner farms (inspired by Wattles on YT) have them all get pushed by water to the edge, then have a second water source that funnels them to the bubble column. The block right before the bubble column you use a fence post in the ground under the water, that pops them up and into the water column.

So the fence would be diagonally down, in front of the soul soil (or sand, i forget). Then all the mobs will flow right into the bubble column no problem, and you can AFK anywhere you want.

posted a message on I dont understand /execute for an elevator

Are you trying to do this with commands or build an actual elevator? There are a few actual elevators you can make using slime and honey blocks. I had one one time that was hidden behind some piston doors, and when you stepped in it took you ~20 blocks down to a secret lab.

posted a message on Eyes of ender are not leading to a stronghold.

I had this happen once too... so annoying... If I remember right, there is a small chance of an area being 'zoned' or whatever as a stronghold without one actually generating there... I would just recommend moving far away and trying again, hopefully you get led to a real stronghold.

posted a message on Lava Ruins Netherite Mining!!!

Do you just tunnel? or do you use the bed mining method? Either way I would recommend lots of food, and not digging unless you have full health. One even quick touch obviously can do significant damage in the nether.

When tunneling: I would recommend storing anything important in a chest where you came down to the level you are tunneling at. I usually have a stair way leading down to about y=12 I make a opening/'base' and store any things I dont want to risk losing. Then while you are making a tunnel have some netherrack in your hot bar inventory. As you dig keep a very close eye on when you dig into lava, quick switch to the blocks and plug the hole before the lava flows. The other (maybe easier) option is, as soon as you see lave back up and dig out one block on the floor between you and the lava. the lava will then flow down into that and stop moving towards you. You can then take your time plugging up the lava.

If you are using the bed mining method: place a bed, then with 3 empty spaces place a blackrock on the 4th space from the bed, crouch behind the block and 'use' the bed. You should be close enough to explode the bed, and in a safe spot to not take too much explosion damage. This is usually a safer way of saying away from surprise lava. But it requires a wool farm/lots of beds. Netherite doesn't explode so if there is any you will be able to get to it nice and easy.

posted a message on Beacon Upgrade

    Notes:

The Beacon composition could also just be done per block, not by layer, then everything would be scaled accordingly.

All effects are obviously just suggestions, and can definitely be adjusted.

To get the second level of the effects, you would still need a specific number of tiers to the pyramid like normal.

The Copper layers are geared towards farming.

The Iron layers are amplifiers to the effect. Virtually giving things like Haste 1.1 or Speed 2.4. A full Iron beacon would pretty much give you Haste 3 and stuff.

A solid Gold beacon would fully block mob spawns in its radius.

Diamond layers, increase how long the effects last outside of the radius.

The Netherite layers are virtually Fortune, but are separate, and therefore add on to any Fortune effect.

posted a message on Beacon Upgrade

So I guess there could be two ways to upgrade the beacon. Either one by itself would be fine, but both together would be amazing. Corresponding resource and powers are up for discussion. (Also adding Copper, because why not...)

    1) What item you feed the beacon to power it matters. (Maybe what you feed it determines what effects if gives off?)

    - Copper = Jump Boost

    - Iron = Haste

    - Gold = Speed

    - Emerald = Resistance

    - Diamond = Strength

    - Netherite (scrap) = Regeneration

    2) The resources that make the beacon matter. Ideally, this would be by layer. One full layer of a given resource gives the beacon a specific effect. So you can actually design different beacons for different effects you want it to emit. You can have 4 layers of the same material, or up to 1 layer of 4 materials, and the order of the materials matter. And this effect might be passive/always in affect within the range of the beacon.

    Resource/ 3x3 Layer/ 5x5 Layer/ 7x7 Layer/ 9x9 Layer

    - Copper = Decrease Mob breed time 50%/Decrease Mob Maturation time 50%/ Increase plant growth speed 50%/Increase all non-ore drops 50%

    - Iron = Increase beacon effect strength 10%/ Increase beacon effect strength 20%/ Increase beacon effect strength 30%/ Increase beacon effect strength 40%

    - Gold = Lower mob spawn chance 10%/ Lower mob spawn chance 20%/ Lower mob spawn chance 30%/ Lower mob spawn chance 40%

    - Emerald = Beacon effect range +10/ Beacon effect range +20/ Beacon effect range +30/ Beacon effect range +40

    - Diamond = Beacon effect duration x3/ Beacon effect duration x5/ Beacon effect duration x7/ Beacon effect duration x9

    - Netherite = Increase Ore drops 20%/ Increase Ore drops 40%/ Increase Ore drops 60%/ Increase Ore drops 80%

posted a message on Best and the safest way to kill blazes?

I agree a lot with what scorrp10 said. Generally when looking for a good blaze spawner, I look for one that is completely surrounded with netherrack. It helps if the hall way is a tunnel too, that way you can step around a corner out of line of sight, they dont follow you. If you are at an intersection, you can block off the paths around you so other mobs and stray blazes dont attack you from behind or something. I usually bring a Power 5 bow, and lots of arrows, and lots of food. I avoid attacking with swords, because then you are so close, when they shoot its hard to dodge the flames. With an bow you can be far enough away to step behind a corner or wall for protection.
