This is a wishlist so I expect someone's going to lock it, but to answer you, I like the ideas except the deceiver which sounds a bit gamey, but the name 'wolf-dog' does not make much sense when the animal goes from wolf to dog as is.

Pirateboy04 posted a message on Remove the 255 enchantment capPosted in: SuggestionsWhile in theory, I agree, I think in practise there is very little use case. Several enchantments don't even work above the values that vanilla allows (like Multishot) and others are maxed out anyway (Sharpness 255 can already kill anything instantly). Enchants like Depth Strider or Frost Walker could be incredibly laggy at higher levels, too.

erictom333 posted a message on A potential method to make dynamic lighting workPosted in: SuggestionsI know Mojang has said they aren't adding dynamic light sources to Minecraft. But I don't care. In fact, I think Mojang should reevaluate everything on that list, but that's for other posts.
Mechanics
When you are holding a lantern in your hand, offhand or helmet slot, the air or water block that you are standing in becomes a new temporary light block that emits a light of 15. If you move a block, the light despawns and respawns. If you take the lantern out of your hand, the light block despawns.
That's pretty much it. I was previously thinking of a new helmet with a lantern built in (which, even though Mojang explicitly rejected for being too modern, would still fit the the game's style), but that would add one unnecessary item. Yes, wearing a lantern on your head is silly, but so is wearing a pumpkin on your head to not aggravate endermen, or strapping wings to your back. This is Minecraft, it doesn't have to be completely reasonable, so long as it is consistent and makes some kind of sense.

Maybe add a flying horse In the future?
But. you need to "craft" the horse by adding an elytra to its inventory to make it fly. this would make it easier to for example build in the air without building temporary blocks.
It would also help transport other animals over a long distance in the air, where you use lead to fly them around.
I just thought this would be nice, and not to overpowered.
How?

Endersen posted a message on Make quartz obtainable in the overworldPosted in: SuggestionsQuote from eiche_brutal»
This is not about adding another oretype.
(Even tough it would make sence for quartz becoming a crystal block for the overworld)
I would like to suggest following methods to obtain quartz in the overworld:
-Witchdrop
Replace the glowstone dust with quartz. Glowstone is renewable through trading.
Quartz would fit for a witchdrop as well, becouse it has (esoteric) "healing powers".
No, Glowstone Dust is Glowstone Dust, Mojang isn't replacing an item out of something that is useful
-Drop from gravel / sand
I'm thorn apart on this one. I know there would be a major uproar, when sand required silktouch to not drop "random crap".
On the other hand sand isn't realy an issue if you have access to a desert biome.
Adding quartz to gravel would reduce the chance to obtain flint, which would also upset some ppl.
(It's funny actually. I as a nomad don't craft arrows from flint. Guess i'm a weirdo for a nomad)
Adding quartz to sand would make more sence for balance imo.
No no NO! Quartz doesn't go in Gravel and it never will! Only the Archeology update to 1.18 has it to say!
Then there is the cleric, who is somewhat redstone/magic related. Adding a trade here might be worth considering.
This might be good for some of a villager to sell some Redstone but Redstone isn't rare in caves and other stuff so it's like selling dirt while you gotta do is break a block of grass and you got it so no..
Why bring this up? Oh dear...
While i do enjoy nether escape challanges, i don't actually like to mine stuff from another dimension just to get some observers ect.
With the nether update there are more reasons to enter the nether. The only ressource i'm interested in is quartz.
Imo it wouldn't be much easyer to obtain quarz the ways i suggested.
Let's face it: all you need is a bucket of water, a lavapool and flint 'n steel.
Unless your portal location isn't dangerous you have plenty of quartz.
No, just no, go mine like everyone else does for quartz than ask for challenges

scorrp10 posted a message on Way to locate Nether FortressPosted in: SuggestionsIs it me or 1.16 made fortress location a royal pain? Their potential spawn locations are now contested by bastions, and with all the new biomes, spotting one in the distance is way harder. I lately just find myself re-creating the world with same seed in Creative and using /locate fortress. My most recent 1.17 world, nearest fortress was over 900 blocks away from 0,0.
Hence, suggestion: create an in-game way to find a fortress. We already have ways to locate ocean monuments, strongholds and mansions.
Potential methods:
Nether Explorer Map: can be found in a bastion chest, or ruined nether portal chest or be a trade result from a piglin. Maybe make it a special trade - piglins barter the map in exchange for a clock.
Compass: combine compass with crying obsidian (or nether brick). Compass now points towards nearest fortress center.
Eye of Nether: combine ender pearl with crying obsidian (or nether brick) Flies towards nearest fortress center.

Mamrok_666 posted a message on Ideas for a 1.19 "Copper-Tech" update!Posted in: SuggestionsNow that copper is in the game i think there should be more uses than just a bunch of building blocks. The lightning rod was a great addition and on the basis of that a new branch of technology could be introduced. Here's a bunch of ideas that i think are quite "Minecrafty":
1. Copper Power Cell.
This is the basis for most of what follows. Its crafted from 8 copper ingots and one netherite ingot.
2. The Copper Charger. Connected via redstone to a lightning rod. This block is used to "power up" the other gadgets. Whenever lightning strikes the rod power is transferred to the charger and adds one charge to whatever is on the charger block.
3. The copper Zapper:
Basically a ranged weapon that is crafted from a power cell, amethyst, and copper ingots. Has only like five charges and does about as much damage as a bow. However it can hit up to three mobs simultaneously and pushes them back a few blocks. Its supposed to be a last resort weapon when you are charged by a bunch of creepers or for similar situations. May be neutralized by metallic armor.
4. The Copper Hopper: And advanced hopper that can "suck" objects in from any direction and from up to several blocks away. Needs a power cell.
5. The Copper Chopper: Yeah im gonna go there... Its an electric Helicopter that when fully powered provides a few minutes of flight. Potentially useful for traversing dangerous areas. Needs a bunch of power cells. Better dont run out of power mid flight!
6. The Copper Torch: Same as a torch but only activated during the night.
Im not claiming that these ideas are perfect, so criticize as you like. So, what do you guys think?

I think it would've been better if you at least copy and pasted the text from the link. Anyway, it seems like a complete upgrade of absorption. Not to mention the potion effect seems like it would be easier to get than absorption from golden apples/totem of undying.
1
What kind of potions..? Seriously dude, you need to slow down a bit with these threads and think out your suggestions. Not to mention you're calling yourself mcsuggester. These quickly typed 2-3 sentence threads are coming off as horribly rushed. People are gonna need more details if you want to convince them your ideas are good, and these quick short sentences aren't doing it.
2
This doesn't save the idea. It's also awkward that bobcats would do this and not wolves, not that I'd want them to, as it seems like it could mess up balance.
1
This is just another "add a new mob just because" thread. What is unique about these bobcats?

I'd be curious to see what that looks like, but I think this was suggested before. People said stuff like "it could be too annoying identifying creepers at a distance or at a quick glance because of all the different colors". Not something I fully agreed with, but I saw where they were coming from. Also, I'm sure that would make players complain that other mobs should get the skin-change treatment (which would be perfectly fine, in my opinion), because they'll complain with something like "why just creepers?"
Making them bright-colored but still matching the biome is one thing, but making them perfectly blend in, so they're hard to see would be an issue. I think that's important enough to be more than semantics.
I think the Creeper color thing would be excellent for Hard or Hardcore, but I don't think the entire playerbase would agree with that.

Nah. It's really goofy for this mob - out of all of them - to somehow be available as a spawn egg. The mob is still unexplained, so none of this makes any sense.
Like what..?
Not sure what it is you like about this mob. It has nothing creative about it, it just does less damage and gives you sand. That's not something I can see Mojang adding...
1
That... makes no sense to me.
I'm completely neutral to the idea, but if I was forced to pick "yes" or "no", I'd probably go with no. Because it creates a bit more clutter in your inventory. Pretty much what post #4 said.

The shears are safety shears, I can't image they'd be shaving big thick trees.

I know this is over a week old, but I'm replying anyway.
This is pretty underdeveloped. So yeah, this whip... you told us nothing about it except has extra range and "no one will mess with you"... Okaaaaay..? That's not how you present a weapon. Range (in blocks)? Damage? Durability? Etc? You didn't give much numbers/stats on the jellyfish either. I don't see anything 'bad' in the idea and I can very mildly support it, but for the record - and not that it's the end of the world or anything - but it's best to leave out generic lines like "they'd be cool to add".
I mean, yeah... It's pretty obvious you're gonna think your own idea is cool, hence why you posted it. This next part I'm adding just for the sake of adding, but always remember that a person's own opinion on an idea is always the weakest.

This is well thought out and simple, buuuuut I'd rather not have it. I can't imagine what it would be like on a server of like 100 people holding lanterns. We don't really need lanterns that bad anyway, torches not only do the job just fine, but they act as a "you've already been here" marker in caves and such.
