Hi there, been scrolling for some time as the Mrs got a little tired of our own private server at home - would be nice to find a newly reset map with the new update, and your plan sounds pretty good!
Im 37, located in northern Norway where we work and live. My IGN is Aveign, can hop on discord too if you guys use that (Searinox/Aveign#8023). Ive been on and off the past decade, and joined another server back in early april and still hooked like never before. Unfortunately that server closed down, I fear it was too much for the owner as he was alone with very limited help from a couple helpers.
Looking for a mature community, not always the highest shouter or chatting too much but eager to help and build. Ideally a laidback community in lazy evenings (which there are abit too many of), and for me somehow seeing other people and having others nearby makes the game so much more lively. Usually do prefer building solo though. If I manage to convince the Mrs to apply aswell, Im sure she will settle far away from me as supposedly Im dictating her builds too much.. :-)

Im a guy living & working up north in Norway, north of the arctic circle. That being said, the internet should be as good as any place in europe - so theoretically it shouldnt be an issue connecting to you guys in the US. Living up here grants both me and the mrs time to relax indoors. Im a friendly guy, chatty when people are active, though sometimes my head and focus get stuck in my builds and projects.
I dont like griefers & trolls, and can to some seem abit paranoid about it - targeting them the minute they join. Having a whitelist helps though, and in general I just want everyone to have a good time and respect eachother.
Why do you play minecraft? Whats your favorite part? What are you good at?
I play minecraft to relax, let my mind focus on something beside work, and build. Im not the biggest fan of minigames, roleplaying and such - but enjoy building smaller villages, farms and various other projects over the past few years.
Buildingwise I prefer medieval builds, but also contraptions to make the game and my experience more efficient in terms of storage, enchants, gear & travel.
Do you agree with all the rules above and what you think about them?
The rules suit me well, as should they suit anyone with some common sense. One of my flaws would perhabs be not always able to see the other side of things, coming from the warlord rogue that never ganked.
Why do you want to join specifically this server?
The fresh map and server in general makes me hope to be able to not fall too far behind the rest. Beside that, seeing most other applicants are 18+ and you saying the average is 24+, makes me positive for a relaxed and mature community.

Im curious to see how the timezones work out, aswell as the ping - but staying optimistic! Edit: Also Im curious about how the amplified part works with my usual builds!
The fresh map and semi vanilla plugins make this server a proper survival area to build your village or other contraptions! Its been quiet since xmas, and switches from 2 players one day to 15 players the other day. We need more regular people, and I would like older people to join. Currently only 3 above 30 but quite a few over 20.
Squid is doing a good job keeping the server up and running, making plugins and fixing economy - its finally been balanced (economy and powerlevels) so that its fair but challenging.
If youre looking for a survival server not overpopulated by randoms, look us up at starhavenmc.com! The server really needs more admins and mods eventually, so there should definitely be an option if you later on feel you could contribute!

Nice job there! In all honestly I do enjoy the server. A few young ones but a mature community none the less, with focus on building and surviving, aswell as getting the to lvl 100 to get to the End! For a builder like myself, who play the game to relax and just opt out from work and everything else - its ideal.
It is quiet atm, and we need a couple more staffmembers to help out Squid and Nayk, but I have good hopes
My IGN is Andreas1984. I still dont understand why I selected that particular name, but anyhow thats what it is. I started the game playing some years ago, oon my younger brothers account named Kreog. However I fairly soon realised I should get my own account to avoid confusion. It ended up with 1984 at the end, for some reason. I am guessing simply Andreas was not avaliable :-) Its not a requirement but if at all I would get whitelisted Id appreciate a nick change to simply Andreas, for consideration later on by the admins)
So, Im Andreas, from Norway, 30 y.o. Just finished the academy last summer, so working 8-4 + some weekend shifts. Im a casual guy, trying to be friendly to the people I meet. In terms of minecrafting, I prefer building. I dont have an amazing imagination, but I like to build stuff inspired by others, so in the end stuff usually ends up being decent (with credits in order ofc, if thats the case).
The past few weeks Ive been roaming the survival forums for a good server. I have a tendancy to play alot in periods, and go inactive after some months. But that all depends on the server. Also I prefer only focusing on one server, so still looking for "the one" ;-)
Since Ive recently moved, Im still waiting for a proper internet-line. Which will be set 10.03 aka in 5 days. In the time being Im borrowing / leeching the net from the students working together with the rest of us at work - as Im their neighbour! Lucky for me, I guess.
hello my friend I have just got banned for no reason and I don't accept this, it is not fair I may have disrespected one of your fellow admins yes that was wrong but cmon guys u don't ban people it makes ur server less popular yeah I love your server and so do others but if you ban people it will turn them off it, I just ask now unblock me. please.
I strongly stand behind Jess´ reasonings here, and to emphasize - the screen didnt show half what he said. He was very harsh and disrespectful towards Jess.
Someone came on today and said "Somebody built a Christian Church and its offending me cause I'm Jewish. Ban them". Should that be offending? I know building a Nazi thing is offending to people but is building a church something that can ban u? Really. I love Haven Terrace, and I don't want people shaken up about religion here..
Quick note before I head to work. I fully agree with your post about cultural sci/fi history religion whatnot should never be a reason to ban. People are different. There are thousands of religious beliefs, cultural signs and artifacts, historical items and statues / that people can build. I am almost certain that whoever said what you quoted, were joking. Or they had a moment of ignorance. Ive built a christian church myself, though coming from Norway where there are almost no religious people at all - its purely based on inspirational builds and general tradition. If it were a mosqe or other kind of scifi sanctum I could not care less, besides the fact the actual buildings are inspiring based on aesthetics.
