Releasing it under a title name which is that of another totally different game? Hypothetically speaking; TellTale probably is stupid enough to do that. Though would quickly learn otherwise once consumer right activists target it and hit it hard for false advertising.

May 15, 2015SeaWry posted a message on How We Play Minecraft: Solo or Servers?Posted in: News
Rare post.
I play single player modded, for vanilla is pitiful and only adheres to creative minded people who build fancy things in long run. Where as such is not to I, for I tend to do logistical building and logistic gameplay (modpacks greatly). It isn't how something looks to me, so long as it will function as intended and meet the requirements I set. Automation is an amazing thing in many ways so long as there is an way; it will happen. Setting an challenge and more so HQM modpacks are about all that keeps Minecraft interesting to me. Otherwise there isn't a whole lot else to it for me.
Why do I not play on modpack based Multiplayer Servers?
There is no large server I will trust, for if I do not know those who own it or the players on it. I presume that is fair enough reason to avoid large servers.
Rarely I have given small servers (10< players) an look over, but they generally do not meet things I prefer or look shady. Finding decent trust worthy small server(s) is like trying to find the best way to crack into an government database head on. While it is sad the "rotten" ones have shadowed such view over normal Minecraft Multiplayer; it is how it is without any change. While would be nice to have an nice small group server for any of the various large Modpacks (FTB/Curse), such isn't really to exist.

Seriously, if I wanted a cape, I should have been asked. Attempt to go to Minecraft.net to remove/turn it off. Nope, apparently the cape service is off. Guess will enjoy 48/24 hours of this annoying thing on my back that clips with jetpacks and camelpack.
"Edit": Found that in the 1.7.10 Options (the actual file, not ingame afaik or I blindly overlooked it) you can turn off capes. -
Sep 15, 2014SeaWry posted a message on [Official] Microsoft has Bought Mojang and a message from Notch. For the dark omen that brews from Microsoft. I really cannot say for if this is good or bad. Perhaps in one way, Minecraft can be better protected from those who are selfish and do not care about others, no names to be pointed. As well updates and more proper resources can be used.Posted in: News
The other way, it shall join the ranks of the dead unto like that Rare and few minors have witnessed. Their kingdoms fell and nothing arose from their ashes. What better way to get rid of competition, than to buy it and kill it, legally.
I doubt nothing will change by how I see it for an considerable amount of time. Community will go rogue if they have to if need be. Monetary DLC is death, cosmetic is fine, but even then. For what greedy leeches Microsoft can be as past has dictated, hopefully they just steal off the community and leave it as it is.
Time will tell what happens. Till then I wait. -

Not to say Microsoft is doing an poor attempt to gain another Xbox exclusive game, and sue it off of Sony's PS4. As well Windows exclusive only (for they would find ways).
If all fails and they tired of it, Mojang or to say Minecraft will join the ranks of the dead, like RARE and many others by Microsoft's micro soft hands. -

"Pay for Fun" was never a thing, since that's just another word for Pay to Win which is a stupid business model.
Not really, the two have their meanings. Pay to Win is more along lines you pay for gear/weapons that give significant advantage in PvM/PvP. Pay for Fun is when you must pay to get access to game features such as creative mode or flying for best examples. -

Changing the IP is very easy, most routers have the option to switch to a dynamic ip then you can use no-ip, not to mention you could use a proxy to connect to Mojang authentication servers. and what happens when a server shuts down and another takes that IP? Also if they were to compile a whole list of ips they've banned eventually the list would get so big it would cause minecraft to lag, if they did it on the end of Mojang authentication servers then it would bog down the servers.
I am not talking about home server nor small servers here just to clarify. That is just one of many ways. They can always force upon the introduction of Server UUIDs. There is ways and they probably will use any they see fit. -

Yeah but I still think it's just going to be empty threats
Yggdrasil provides them a means to do this by denying the server access to the Mojang Authentication server. Oh but the server can change IP and get by that? No, it is not likely that easy changing the server IP on slot based ones, DPS/VPS yes, but if so then that is what subnet bans are good for should they be forced. I can think of several ways they can go about handling such. C&Ds are likely first as starts. -

Comply with what, something not able for public reading yet so they can change and comply with it? -
Jul 28, 2014SeaWry posted a message on Mod Spotlight: EnvirominePosted in: NewsQuote from winman297Wow! This mod looks like so much fun but what version of minecraft is it for?
1.6.4 for now. However the mod author is working on it for 1.7.10, they are skipping 1.7.2 as no point anymore. -
Jul 28, 2014SeaWry posted a message on Mod Spotlight: EnvirominePosted in: NewsQuote from BeringtomWhy post about a mod that only supports 1.6.4?
most mods are allready in 1.7.10.
No, they are not. Most mods for 1.7.10 are BETA/ALPHA and few are "full releases". Most are jumping from 1.7.2 to 1.7.10 because it is better to instead doing it later. You are still better off with 1.6.4 at time. 1.7.10 changes a huge amount of things that most are taking time with due to complete re-writes or waiting on other mods/apis to update before they can even work to upgrade their mod to 1.7.10.
Only gripe I have about Enviromine is the inability to make suitable temperature in your home. There is no way to lower or increase the temperature inside your home that I know of so far from testing. This hinders a lot of "enjoyment" as current playing on a Technic Modpack, customized personally a bit, and the biomes I am in (Plains modified by ATG "Alternate Terrain Generator") is just 100F constantly which is insanity really as that constantly causes sweating. If things to control environmental things like Temperature were added, that would be rather amazing really. (Ideally only temperature is the uncontrollable one and makes it rather non fun sometimes). -

MineOrama wasn't community-driven. It was hosted by a for-profit corporation meant to fund a non-profit corporation. "Not sanctioned by Mojang" and "community-driven" are not mutually inclusive.
Godwin's Law? What would even make you mention that?
Of course they are not, however does not mean theoretically one scam could took to try and encourage people it is not a scam like the other. It would be like an country in shambles after previous leader lead them to near destruction and another arose only to do the same by claiming to lead them to "glory".1 Under what meant by Godwin's Law.
Maybe something to what I can see, however each have their own view points on such. However I have no reason to further discuss it really, not my cup of tea. Under no decree however am I claiming they are an scam. Just you cannot trust nobody anymore. -
Jul 12, 2014SeaWry posted a message on Saturday Round-Up: YouCube Saves the Day!Posted in: NewsOf particular note, this event was assembled entirely by Youtube and Livestream personalities, with support and logistics from server hosting companies, making it a 100% community-driven event!
Does not mean nothing really. Mine-O-Rama was community driven as well for most part as Mojang had nothing to do with it, therefore making it "Community Driven", but as well to say I never have even heard of this "YouCube". Could throw Godwin's law in here a bit, however there is no point in it, I care too little really to bother. Humans learn from errors of their ways; lesson here was to not trust everything from a "community". -

Defend it I won't do. I went great lengths to ensure it wouldn't be a problem to me or well to say a worry to me.
Fortunately one can kill telemetry and disable it.
However outside Windows 10 isn't much better given the update for Windows 7 and unsure on Windows 8 that patched in the Windows 10 Telemetry. So really both Windows 7 and 8 have Telemetry if one just blindly installs Windows Updates without checking what each one may do.

Windows 10 Pro.
Only reason to not upgrade or get Windows 10 is compatibility problems with old hardware or software, or you happen to wear a tinfoil hat.

Not required and optional to be installed and even if corrupted driver for it, it would not cause this for there is no actual call to the driver of the device. Separate driver entirely from the Display drivers.
MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
PAGE_ERROR_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA
These are more pointing at memory problems.
KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (dxgmms2.sys)
Can be VRAM or system physical RAM (including system shared RAM for graphics processor) given directX module. These are two things to look at.
Firstly, uninstall the AMD GPU drivers (prefer to use Display Driver Uninstaller from Guru3d to cleanup AMD garbage afterwords).
After uninstalling the AMD drivers and optionally used the cleanup tool, physically remove the GPU from the motherboard and use onboard Intel iGPU to see if the crashes still occurs. If they do, that rules out faulty VRAM or in general the Graphics card itself as well AMD drivers. However do not install the GPU nor AMD drivers back yet.
Secondly, if the crashes still occur. Will need to remove one physical ram stick from the motherboard and test to see if still occurs. If they do, put the removed stick back in and remove the other and test. If still happens. Then possibly a very badly corrupted operating system or driver installation and I would just go the route of full operating system reinstall. If still then, likely an faulty CPU or motherboard.

I can say from old thread on this not too long ago (<2 weeks). I tested Essence of the Gods mod in a clean new environment and can confirm it is the mod itself.

Fairly certain is a Lenovo ThinkCentre M58e 7298 due to specifications matching.
Searching by Lenovo, CPU bin number (e7500), main C drive size (320GB Hitachi) and ram amount (4096MB) found such matching DXDiag and eventually weeded it down to one.
Based on support page. It does have one PCIE X16. However only a 280 Watt (unspecified rail amps) no name PSU.
0
Guess makes sense as the G41 chipset was a desktop one. More less non mobile CPU bin. However then Lenovo brand threw it off as most common such is a laptop than a desktop. So I went with a desktop due to chipset and CPU. Though odds OP having specifications from case, PSU and motherboard to support a discrete GPU is slim.
0
You have to claim the Windows 10 Version. Though I do believe you had to get Minecraft before the Beta thing. If you got it after, you do not qualify afaik. Unsure as the details are unspecificed there.
Your GPU is not supported in Windows 10. You need to rollback to Windows 7 as that is last version to have an working driver. It is possible if this is not a laptop you could get a low bin discrete GPU. However don't get hopes up.

Apparently now there are two people with this issue.
Given was a thread precisely with similar issue a day or to ago.
http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/support/unmodified-minecraft-client/2559282-anyone-know-what-causes-this
Afraid I do not know an exact cause or solution. Though it is most certainly something given two people have this now.
I am just making a note of such here.

Can you post the Launcher Log in a spoiler after trying to launch the game since you have did all of this?
Also on the machine, there is no non numerical/alphabetical characters in the username right?
Example !USERNAME, ?USERNAME, $USERNAME, ect.
0
Sadly not. This is an driver/GPU issue. Uninstall and reinstall latest Nvidia driver if anything. If already latest, reinstall the driver (after uninstalling first).
This issue is known by Nvidia though. However no solution has been found that I know of.
Some people have the issue, others do not.
0
Pictures / Photo Editor are not really useful to diagnose such. Need other applications. If other applications have the issue, then things are much easier.
0
I mean something that ISN'T Minecraft or Java related.
Any other games, windows application or other applications?

Is it only the Minecraft Launcher that looks like that text wise?
