Look at my source for Tahg. It's the same thing, just less diplomatic.

It's okay, the Defenders have always been white knighting this game. It's okay, I know you love the game so I'll let you be.

You should generally not have to make your readers google an entire quote... but whatever.

Oh so now we're on to the white knight thing? I'm not even defending the game this time. It seems like I am the last person on this miserable forum who actually likes minecraft. Everyone else seems to "like" minecraft but they find a way to complain about it at every turn and antagonize those who are content.

Do you not know how to read between the lines? When someone says the exact sames line over and over, they are trying to be diplomatic. He quit a "golden" job to become unemployed and return to Bukkit modding. The only time people do that is when they cant take something at their current job.

You're just making a conspiracy theory. You provided no actual proof that he had left Mojang due to "circumstances out of his control". If you want me to even start believing you, you got to provide a link.

Yeah, I'd like to see your source please.

The source that I have seems to have say something different...

Wait, are you saying that Jens is the first person to have said that? Or that he somehow expressed that simple and true, but tautological, statement better than millions of others before him?

    Relax.

And to everyone freaking out about the Mod API:

Making conspiracy theories doesn't help anything.

The main issue is that people expect them to just drop any updates and work only on the Plugin API until it is done. it is not going to happen, and to expect it to is both unreasonable and flawed in logic. What do you people think Grum and EvilSeph have been doing? Sitting there looking at computer screens all day? Why do you guys thing Searge was hired? Just because they aren't giving us news doesn't mean it isn't being made. Have you ever thought that the reason they aren't giving us news is precisely because of the way this community is? I believe Jeb_ said it best: https://twitter.com/...564096019189760

No one could have said it better, that is my new sig.

Nobody except shallow minded noobs complained about enchanting.

Guess that makes you a shallow minded noob then huh.

Mojang isn't adding treecaptitation, they aren't adding pegasi, they aren't adding birds, and they aren't adding deer. If you're going to complain about something, at least complain about something that exists.

Think it is a bunch of crap.... Mojang needs to fix the load errors and all the lag...instead of breaking the game for thousand of fans....

Oh please. You can't just fix lag...1000 entities is going to cause a decent amount of lag no matter what you do. And this isn't breaking the game for anyone. All you need to do is build a crusher so you can beat them to death with one punch. Not hard.

    Quote from yungskittlez

Also, I feel that this method of enchantment encourages book enchants. How often does anyone here spend enchanting a stack of books? (any level of XP used) I have done it a few times as of current. Enchanting 30 level 1 books and combining them into something and then in turn combing that book with an enchantable item is quite tedious. (once I enchant 30 level 1 books, it may take another 30 to combine books and then combine that with the item you want enchanted.) Honestly how often is the book system used? I rarely use it to be honest.

I use it all the time. That is how I get the majority of my sword enchantments and bow enchantments. Pickaxes and other tools are the few things that you will usually always get something good on. But with swords you might be stuck with smite 4. I use books to get around that chance of a bad tool.

It isn't worth it. Mojang should be implementing a name changing service fairly soon.

It's worth it if you are giving the account to your cousin so you can play with him.

Ah, I see. That ol' argument...

Well, you should take it to Mojang, Scum. Not to us. You have to tell them that you don't feel the need for them to work on balancing the game. I'm pretty sure you'll become very popular.

Oh I'm sure the OP would be very popular if he did the same thing.

And where did I tell them to stop balancing things? They know that things are balanced and they are trying to work it out. I was saying that going without armor or otherwise is a much more productive way to make the game balanced rather than making posts on here.

In fact, the original post was basically crushed by the first few posters. It wasn't very thought through. The only real arguments came when other people came and hijacked the thread.

I think I'm done with these threads. I'm probably one of the last people on this forum who is actually content with minecraft the way it is. And it isn't because I am a fanboy, as I know you will be very quick to make that assumption, it's because I have the initiative to tailor the game to my own standards and deal with the changes and possibly disappointments as they come.

Honestly, you all seem that you want to torture the exploration out of this game.

That is like saying I am gonna make a game where the strongest weapon costs 1 gold, and every enemy you kill gives 5. Then I just say "If you guys don't like that, then don't buy it!". It is always the job of the game developer to fix balancing issues. Never has it been, nor will it be, the job of the players.

Yes thank you you've already explained that once or twice.

Obviously we have very different opinions on fixing the game. Whatever then.

Oh and the forum does have a multipost merge, but I think if there is a big time gap between your posts then it won't automatically merge them.

Yes, because quick examples should be well written with 50+ words about how one has to explore to find a brewing stand, (For example ^^)

    1. Ignoring problems.
    2.Ignoring problems.
3.I got minecraft for a survival, not for buidling stuff because i know i suck at it.
    4. Did. Because i was done with ''survival' after playing for 3 hours on my world.
    5. Well, i tried for 365 x2 days. still doing today. just gets boring without a challenge.

If i find the game EASY, then im a bad player, I am meh in redstone, i can make good piston doors and traps to stop zombies from breaking a door but thats useless because iron doors.

About the lose armor and use shovel, ignoring problems.

@debugman18 i read all of your post but my quote system went jack on me and after 10 minutes of trying i gave up. So here is my response:

Balance is tricky, its hard to fight the middleGround, just as you said on a big game, i just think the current difficulty is like this:

    Hell difficulty (aka btw) +5
    What i want: 0
    Currently: -3

Sadly i gotta update because mods update and so on.
Did i scapegoat somewhere? Pardon me if i did then. Wasn't my intension.

Well, im trying to expand SSP, Making death a thread again and so on. New players would basicly deal with it if they didn't play mc before. (Atleast that what i would do) And (Word for new players who started playing but are still pretty bad at the game) Would require some thinking and a change of tactic. I see nothing wrong in that. same happened to me in same games.

Well. Difficulty modes, i just wish (this is a stupid idea) That difficulty modes actually did some more stuff. like adding extra hazards, survivalism and so on. instead of plain buffing monsters.

Well, im off sleeping now. And im gonna focus on my java skills again. So maybe one day i can make minecraft the sandbox/survival game i can make it be :) ( I do gotta wait for a stable moddable version like 1.7 or 1.8, because modding 1.6 would be useless now.)

    Good night everyone

    1. Fixing problems yourself
    2. Fixing problems yourself
    3. Then make survival more of a survival by adding challenges yourself
    4. Congrats.
    5. Then make a challenge for yourself.

Minecraft is and was a sandbox game. You are supposed to do whatever you want in it. If Mojang forced difficulty on everyone then there would be less sandbox in the game. Where it is right now you have the ability to make challenges for yourself easily.

What you've been telling me is that you suck at building, you suck at redstone (then how did you make a massive sorting system?), and you want more difficulty. If surviving is the only thing that you are good at then stop giving the "ignoring problems" excuse and get back into your world and add a challenge for yourself. I've already given plenty of examples on how to do this. You can even try living as a nomad which works for you because you don't ever build a finished house and you live from day to day. That sounds like the kind of cutting edge, fast-paced gamestyle you seem to want.
