"Duhhh... get over it...". Your reply is both childish and completely unconstructive.

Yes, they added lots of biomes, which is why it is all the more stupid that you actually ever SEE only a small handful of them unless you spend days upon days traveling for rediculous distances.

To be fair, you stating your dislike for 1.7 (as many others have in this thread) is also quite unconstructive. I think every person who has agreed with the OP has said the same thing that you did, just with different wording.

posted a message on If Mojang was trying to be more realistic with the minecart changes...
They need to implement a system like the one in the mod RailCraft. Leave normal rails alone, but add a new set of powered rails that allow the cart to go high speed. On those rails you can derail if you go fast enough (or even blow up like in RailCraft). To turn corners at that speed you would need to use unpowered high speed rails to slow you down before a corner.

in the form of fog, could make things prettyer, but in my opinion the border must stay.

Why must it stay? You just said that it would make things prettier.

That is simply your world not loading all the chunks, bit over exaggerated there.

This is with most chunks loaded and at a pretty high height for me:

A simple fix for this would be having more fog, instead of making your world look like it is an asteroid in space.

You still have a massive and ugly gap between the world and the skybox.

Even at y 150-200, blocks at y 60~ would start disappearing. That will produce a really ugly effect.

Can't imagine the effect would be worse than this.

Besides, I'm sure there are workarounds for that.

No support. When you are really high, such as Y-255 at night time, you will see the sky box clearly under you.

How often are people at y255? More often than not you are a lot lower. The tallest towers barely scrape that night.

Currently the minecraft skybox only covers about half of the world.

See how the stars get cut off near the edge of the generated chunks? It just turns into blackness there.

It's even more noticeable when you're using a custom skybox (Shown here with Misa Realistic skies)

So the skybox should just surround the entire world so that you will see the entire sky no matter what height you are at.

Justify your opinion. Why should they be rare? Rare to name your pet wolf Ted?

Because if people could craft them then you got yourself the ability to create massive mob armies with ease. That is rather overpowered and can create lag.

Rewriting the inventory system. It's now unit testable, actually makes sense and is easy to work with! :D
(Sorry modders, but I promise it brings us many months closer to the API)

Oh goody! Where's the nearest cliff?

He never said it brings us many months closer to the API, unless I'm missing something in his twitter feed. Actually post the twitter link next time.

posted a message on Circles? You must be joking, Jeb.
He didn't add circles, he added minecarts with blocks in them and people used them for circles.

This forum loses a little bit of it's integrity everyday.

Of course the enderdragon isn't the end of minecraft. Minecraft only ends when your imagination runs out.
