posted a message on Should Mojang add capes to Minecraft?
This doesn't really belong in this forum. This isn't a suggestion, it's a discussion topic. And even if it was a suggestion it would be irrelevant since Mojang has put their fist down in regards to capes.

Awesome. I loved your last journal and I'm looking forward to this one. Do you frequent the minecraft subreddit by any chance? If so what is your reddit username? This build style reminds me of one I saw on that subreddit a few days ago.

I never make more than one wooden pickaxe in a world, so I usually just drop it. But if for some reason you have a bunch just use em for fuel.

If the only reason it didn't accomplish anything is because you don't like the features, then that's your problem.

So you don't like something being in normal minecraft that you don't even notice because you're playing survival? Dat logic.

Your mob farm is quite interesting and I'll probably check it out, but for now I think I'll use my verison of etho's since it took me barely any time to make and gets me half-decent rates.

posted a message on How can tall mob farms work?
Oh ok, so the wiki is pretty misleading. It states that mobs beyond 32 blocks stop moving and can despawn, they don't talk about a waiting time before sleep mode.

    @Crumpetxxix

Etho's mob farm still works quite well, I would know because that design is what I use. Mobs will still fall voluntarily into water.

posted a message on How can tall mob farms work?
The minimum distance that a mob will spawn from a player is 24 blocks, and beyond 32 blocks from a player a mob will stop moving and be able to despawn randomly. So how do very tall mob traps where a good portion of the platforms are more than 32 blocks from a player work? For instance, Etho has a mob farm that goes all the way to level 128 (I believe, either way it's very tall). The design uses water streams and the natural AI of mobs to make them fall into the streams and fall to their deaths. When Etho is underneath the mob trap collecting the drops, a vast majority of the farm is more than 32 blocks away from him, so how are the mobs beyond that distance still able to move off the platforms and into the water?

We don't need this. We already have other flower colours that are more unique than just recolouring a texture and making it spawn elsewhere.

..a dedicated dev could get that out in a 1-2 weeks honestly.

You got some proof to back that up?

If the game lags there is no pleasure in playing it. Why is that so hard to understand?

Besides instead of being condescending and a jerk about it I'm trying to solve it so I can help others out.

(OH BAI NEW HARDWARE IS NOT TEH MOOYINGS FAWLT) .

I really hate people who say "Buy a new computer!!!! WOOHOO!!!! YAY!"

You're not solving anything on this thread. All you do is repeat the same thing over and over again.

    Actually it is their fault.

I have high end server quality hardware. Don't be another hardware blamer. That dog don't hunt.

I never said anything about the quality of your hardware, I'm pretty sure the lag has to do with the configuration and combination of certain components.

The developers would be entitled to a vacation if the release were not so poor.

1.7 was the "Update that Changed the World"

1.8 is the "Update that Lags the World"

Thanks, we get it. All you talk about is lag.

Performance wise if 1.8 had been just like 14w29b I think there would be fewer legitimate complaints.

14w30 introduced the revised lighting engine and that is why 1.8 is crap.

What good are any of the new things when the update lags so bad it is unplayable?

I have to pause every 2-3 minutes while flying in creative because all I see is empty void.

Let me sit and drink a cup of coffee while I wait for chunks to load so I can continue playing.

How is this "fun and awesome?"

This is how it was for me before 1.8. You just happen to be one of the unlucky ones who has a certain hardware configuration that doesn't like the new changes. This isn't mojangs fault.

Criticism is a form of feedback.

I'm sorry you feel such an unnatural emotional attachment to this game or company that you feel the need to come to the rescue every time someone posts something negative.

I'm sorry you feel the need to bash this game at every possible opportunity. Do you even enjoy minecraft at all? Your post history is all complaining.
