Yes this game is in the downloadable phase, however as it is not the finished version i would suggest this goes into the WIP area until the first full version has been released.

Yo, im in. I may not be very active on minecraft anymore, but based on where our mutual association lies that shouldnt be a problem. SO let s funk it up.
The plan is something similar to that. The simplest way is use zeppelin-style mechanics to make an airship work. Use buoyancy just like a submarine to achieve flotation. Another way could be like a hot air balloon, which is subtly different. There is some amount of buoyancy provided by the balloon, but not enough to actually achieve flotation. When the air is heated up, the lift force is increased, but the air will gradually cool, and so the lift force will decrease over time. So hot air balloons are more of a balancing act, while submarines/zeppelins are more of a set-it-and-forget-it. And yet another way is like a helicopter. Lift is achieved by pushing down on nearby air Really Hard. That takes a lot more energy (ie fuel) though since it doesn't take advantage of natural buoyancy. I'll probably implement all three of these systems in some form or another.

Right before it got abandoned, the author impemented an in depth damage and crash physics systrem. However, he was never able to make the ships have space below the water level, but thats because he turned the ships into editable entities. He also had an anchor system that literally anchored the ship back into the world alowing normal interaction with all blocks. He developed his bouyancy mechanics nbased on pumps for subs and airhips. It was wuite a good mod before it died off.
ALso, i can try and get some sounds for you. I found some of parachutes opening which are remakably similar to a sail unfolding, and ill just snip off the back ground noise with audacity.
Have you ever thought of trying to aquisition some features from SHipsY&Boats mod? i helped out with it and it was amazing, but you already tackled the big problem he never could of removing water from being visible I noticed that alt of his final features were things you didnt plan on implementing, buty it would be a great addition to have you ship start going under if you take on a hull breach.

There's the notice that the teams.dat is misplaced, but no one has said where to put it, so before you go of kindly b*tching at a noob, can you at least let me know what the fracking problem is? Unless you don't even know, that is.And heres what i have installed:
