A possibility: Soul sand under your bed.
I actually kinda like that idea.

What if it incorporated hatches in some way? You'd have to craft a golden/glowing hatch by surrounding it with glowstone or gold ingots. A more complicated option would make it a golden hatch surrounded by a glowstone portal. To enter the Dream World/Aether, you would place the special hatch in the ceiling and you would climb a ladder into it. Then in the dream world you'd come up and out of the "lower" normal world. This would keep with the idea of this new dimension being the opposite of the Nether.
Ooh, that one, too.

Why are people obsessed with creating urinals in MineCraft? I say it's a sort of..... odd obsession.
No obsession, just that if I am creating a complete home, bedroom, kitchen, living room, workbench, library, attic, etc, it makes no sense to leave out a bathroom.
May 27, 2011I'd love to see screenshots and videos of all of these.Posted in: Survival Mode
So far I've only made a set of shelves, and put a lid on my incinerator.
I like the fire under the hatch, like an old-style grate. ...until they become flammable.
I'm actually curious about the toilet -- I am not satisfied with the ones I've made. They're more like giant thrones.

Forgive me, but is it too hard for Notch to work oneweekend to fix game-crippling bugs?
Just sayin' :tongue.gif:
He's twittered that he is, indeed, doing just that.
AND: have you any idea how much work has been done in the past few weeks? A day or two off is not too much to ask, even if it's inconvenient for us.
We'll still get a better turnaround than we'd get from most anyone else.

i will pîrate this game for every buddies i have, and tell everybody to not spend a damn euro on this game.
the man is an ass.
Oh, grow up.
May 27, 2011I like the idea. My graveyard has smoothstone blocks + signs for graves, and it's not quite good enough. I also use halfblocks int he dirt for the grave itself ... I'd rather have dirt without grass, but there's no way to do that.Posted in: Requests / Ideas For Mods
May 26, 2011The fire thing doesn't seem to be added to the buglist. I guess the minute details are tough to come by, as so far it's only happened when I wasn't looking.Posted in: Survival Mode
But things caught fire that were more than 2 blocks away, and that did not catch fire before the update. Not talking about fences and other things that are now flammable but weren't before. I didn't see how it started, so I don't know if it caught something on the diagonal, or directly above or what.
I think three people have reported similar experiences.
I am glad fire has been nerfed, but still this is unexpected and unfortunate and if not a bug, then the rules of fire have changed and need to be figured out.

I am in a biome where it snows all the time (not sure what its called) And I have water fountains in the front of my house. Previously they wouldn't freeze (yes I read the patch notes saying water freezes now) Thats great.... I simply put a block of glowstone under the water in each of my fountains to keep them thawed. However they still try to freeze at regular intervals and when this happens the flow is all killed and now I'm left with water fountains that have floating spring blocks by themselves in mid air despite the glowstone. Its rather annoying....
This happens to me, too. I am undecided whether and what to do about it. I happen to have a fountain on the edge of a freeze zone, so part of the pool freezes.
I've also seen snow underwater, but only under where I've been making stuff. Um, that's unclear. One of my fountains is on top of a lake. The lakebottom blocks under the fountain accumulate snow. I also have a small domicile under the lake. The step under the ladder (under a block of water) I enter by accumulates snow.
Personally, I don't think running water should freeze at all, or rarely.

We need to start some sort of petition bringing back the velocity increase between two minecarts in contact. That glitch allowed me (and plenty of other players) to make incredible glitch train stations. My pride and joy was build in my underwater base, it was fully automated and worked amazingly. I dont want to go back and redeisgn my 4 train stations to work with powered rail. I WANT GLITCH BOOSTERS BACK and i highly doubt I am the only person who feels this way.
Just because people discovered a clever way to take advantage of a bug does not mean the bug should stand.
ANY bug exploits should be understood to be likely to be temporary.
Don't get me wrong: discovering and exploiting the bug is genius. But it is a bug exploit nonetheless.
