posted a message on New swamps are unacceptable
I got to page 4, and can I just say, OP is an idiot. Like, I agreed with the original post, but the poster's reduced to idiocy at this point.

Fact of the matter is, Mojang knows full well of the bug, already, and I'm almost certain they've even said "yeah that's a bug, hold on". As beta testers, yes, our job is to say "hey this isn't quite right," but when the issue at hand is already announced, move on. I mean, we could all post "SNOW IS BROKEN FIX IT" threads. That would get us nowhere. Instead, how about we do our job. Test more. Find other bugs with the game. For example, try and figure out why all the bugs that make complex redstone devices work happen. Or maybe figure out why this version of the terrain generator keeps putting out the same 3 worlds, over and over. (Check that 99 seeds album)

It's on the bug list, there are still bugs to fix. Let's move on, testers, and find them all.

tl;dr: I got 99 problems, but the glitch ain't one.

posted a message on You know why 1.8 is such an disapointment?
1.8 is a disappointment because Mojang is famous for falling behind on their development schedule, and are notoriously poor at maintaining enough secrecy to hide this fact.

Frankly, if they kept the "just wait and see :wink.gif:" thing with a few leaks now and then, they'd have happier players and more dev time. Of course, they could also remedy the issue by having someone help Jeb to code the game. Notch spends all his time lolly-gagging it seems, and the rest of the programming team is on Scrolls. It's not like Notch isn't responsible for Minecraft. He is the game's programming lead.

posted a message on Danger increases as you dig down
You want danger when you mine? Dig vertical shaft straight down. Chances are, you hit lava, and you, and all your items, burn up. Want more danger? Walk around at night. Creepers + Skeletons + Zombies = you dying over and over.

As I recall, digging into a natural cave has a chance of spawning hostile mobs, and I can't think of a time I haven't hit a cave when digging. (Lately, I've been playing Peaceful and experimenting with some mods and items, so it's been some time since I did battle with mobs)

Just hitting the top of a cave, and falling in, can be dangerous as you lose health from the impact.

All these people suggest adding difficulty to Minecraft. Personally, I think the difficulty already lies in the sheer amount of work you have to do to accomplish anything. As Ben Croshaw so eloquently put it, "That 80-foot golden cock-and-balls wouldn't be quite so turgid if it weren't for the entire continent you had to dig up to get the materials."
